Street Fighter V |OTVIIII| New Generation - Fighting Game Is Something So Great

I'm happy with how Menat turned out, but as far as weapons go I would've preferred the staff to a crystal ball.

But I guess Ed's staff lady is still in the cards. 👀

I'd spend some time in the lab & Casual Matches until you complete the transition. Moving from pad to stick usually takes around a week or two.

Will do, i'll apply some basic drills over time because my execution definitely took a blow, i've yet to try the game online when i played it was usually against my wife but i'll play some casual matches in the near future.

If some gaffers here want a free punching bag feel free to add me on PSN :3

Positive: Staff Fighter? Nice

Negative: JFC another blonde clone
That blonde girl really just looks like a female Ed. Same hair, very similar cap, very similar uniform. The staff also makes her look like a weeb. But knowing Capcom, they'll actually try to justify this by saying she's mixed just so she can be blonde

The two Magician designs for Menat (especially that cute punk one) and the first stick fighter are really great. A magician using magic to form a deck of cards into different weapons sounds crazy. Hope those concepts are revisited in the future.

You don't get why people want more info about a game they play and talk about every day? Doesn't seem that complicated.

Yes I don't understand why you need to go digging around in shit that's fairly well hidden, just so you can spoil a surprise people are working on.

But more importantly I mean in general, not just games.

As a consumer, I want to know what's coming out. I want to know if my product is going to be supported next year, and what's in the Season Pass. I want to know all these things soI can plan ahead a bit in terms of where I should focus my time (of which fighting games require so, so much), my money (because we all have budgets), and the path this game wants to take. And I want it immediately. To be fair to me, Capcom hasn't really been great at communicating the future plans they hold. Without our leakers, we'd know nothing about the season pass characters.

On the flipside, these leaks aren't always great for a company. Most want a controlled message, for things to come out when they should for max exposure. Capcom falters quite a bit in this department, but in some places things are pretty calculated when they aren't constrained. As a marketer myself, they are doing a fairly decent job when they are able to communicate (which is 90 percent of the problem, right?). Like, yeah, with Marvel, they could do character introductions and showcase new moves and do little highlights with their clips, but they are basically letting content creators showcase their game, which is a good way to filter out much of the hate before it hits them. It's kinda clever and they aren't the only ones to do this.

Anyway, if the leaks are wrong, you have people getting mad or upset. If they are right, you have people hyped. And it's hard to balance, because some of the leaks could be off by a few keypoints and ruin everything. And they can't control when and where this will show up. So I get why Capcom doesn't want to show off the possibility of Evil Ryu because he might not be in the damn game itself. Yet XKira is running around telling people that's him. And they can't correct him either.

Basically, consumers want more answers and developers want more control. At different points, only one party gets a massive amount of benefits.

Them wanting to present the reveals as surprises is fine though, there's no obligation to buy the character pass, and I'm sure whoever is running the numbers there realises the loss in early revenue because of people who are on the fence because of the lack of info.

You wanting more info is also fine, but I don't feel like that means we should be praising dataminers for spoiling whatever plan/surprise they worked up.
Capcom should communicate more in general, but that doesn't mean they should lay everything bare if they decided internally they wanted to keep some things as a surprise.

Yeah. I don't want everything spoiled, and I'm fine if more surprises are in the works. I don't require them to tell me anything (though I think SP stuff for characters should be open season, in terms of at least keeping more hints than just shadows), but should shit drop, I'm game.

Brobzoid

how do I slip unnoticed out of a gloryhole booth?
Hmm, I don't seem to get any new groups when I click the link. Only fighting game discord I'm on is the one called EU FG Community, it's that one?

can I get an invite to the EU FGC discord? I've tried to google for it, but every link I find is expired/invalid.

idk if it's possible for me to find groups on discord, I have absolutely no idea how to do it. :(

Trying Abigail on my alt. account. Dude is weird as hell lol, but I love it. Rashid poses a problem though, and I'm gonna have to find out how his armor works. Played against a FANG earlier and he kept zoning me out. Also, Abbie's normals as slow as fuck lol, that same FANG kept stuffing me with CC fierce.

I wish we had the option to turn off the pre-match announcer, nothing she says is remotely helpful. I've heard her say:

"This is your....TENTH...match versus...GUILE!"

Each time I fight a Guile.
You can, it's "Information Voice" under sound settings. I just reinstalled and it took about three matches before I was scrambling to find out how to shut her up.

Speaking of, it's amazing how a character change can change your outlook on a game. I spent weeks playing a Cammy I thought was working when she apparently wasn't. It felt like I was banging my head against a wall and it made me super down on myself, so I threw in the towel for a couple months. Skip ahead to last week and I decide to give it another go, except this time I decided not to play Cammy. Ended up landing on Karin after hopping around for a while and goddamn did she click. I'm still a total scrub, but I went from languishing in mid-Bronze playing Cammy right up to Silver within a couple nights of practice. More importantly I'm just having fun playing again.

Most people rage quit out of frustration, they couldn't care less about points, so it doesn't matter if it's casuals.

It happens a lot more in Rank. A lot of win quitting started to happened after ED came out and refusing to rematch if they lose.

Then you have the ease of using Wifi and people go far to slowdown the game on PC. Then you have the base PS4 having fps drop causing the frames to unsync screwing over PS4 Pro(?) and PC players .70% of my matches are just lag with the Jitter at 2ms the highest. And then I go back to SF4 and only one player who lag switch out of all the solid matches found on PC.

F2p model would make since. But so does Okami with touch controls.

I wonder if KI for steam will be F2p as well and if it's possible to link your windows 10 version and not pay for the game again
