I'll be upgrading to the 256GB model of X. Not a fan of the glass on the back though. It's going to need rinsing a lot.

Wow, with that price, I'm good with my 7Plus. Waiting for next year might mean I can get Touch ID, an official charging pad and more.

I definitely want the new Apple Watch and Apple TV, though!

My 7+ is great. I don't see a need to get an 8+ right now especially since I wouldn't even be able to enjoy the glass casing what with the case I'd be using. But I look forward to seeing how the X technology matures over the next iteration or two. Obviously it's a brand new UI paradigm for them. It'll take a while for them to figure out how to properly get iOS to utilize it.

I hope videos can be set to not overlap the rounded corners though.

Also I don't like that it seems the "home button" line puts itself at the bottom in landscape mode even when in a game. I assume it's just because the game they were showing off isn't optimized for iOS 11 on the X yet so it's assuming it's on an 8 and expanding to fill the boundaries of the screen as if they were square.

And I'm still bothered by the bezels. Still as thick as they are on the 7 except now it goes all the way around. I'd be fine with slight bezels on the ends if they made the screen wrap around the edge like some Samsung phones.

Did the 8 go up in price in the US? I thought our exchange rate had finished fucking about but seems not.

Iphone X is 60% more expensive than an iPhone 7. They’re literally relying on people just lusting after one because logic would tell you to run the hell away.

I don't get it either. It's 20x more secure than Touch ID, looks to be faster, and somehow isn't good enough

TouchID will NEVER come back. Apple is too stubborn to bring it back after announcing FaceID as a "step forward".

At least the Apple Watch 3 looks amazing.

I was gonna get 256 X day and date but I don't know if I should just wait for next year now which will no doubt be better with rumours of Touch ID under glass coming.

Steve would have been pissed with how this whole iPhone X shit went down.

Comparing the devices, I may go for the 8 or 8+. I want 256GB and while I know OLEDs are the superior screen, I don't think it's worth the extra $200 when the 8+ has the same processing power and camera quality.

Yeah, that's true. The 8/8+ is likely the last model with TouchID.

Have you not looked at the S8/Note 8/LG V30? Those phones are all incredible. The Xiaomi Mix 2 is also insane.

Because it's INCONVENIENT AF! I don't want to pick up my phone and look at it every time I want to unlock it (which is hundreds of times a day) while it's sitting on my desk or table

What a totally underwhelming end for the iPhone.

The storage options are terrible in 64Gb and 256Gb, the pricing is ludicrous for an X.

I can only imagine the awful O2 prices here in the U.K.

The phone was rebooted. You can't even use Touch ID when a phone is rebooted, you have to put in your pin. Someone fucked up the demo unit, face ID didn't fail.
