I have an Amazon preorder that I'm probably going to cancel. Couldn't justify the upgrade seeing how I don't have a $4k tv and figured the money would be better spent being put towards building myself a modest gaming PC instead.

I see that next week is likely the time! Shame that the Wal-Mart ad states things start a day before the Taco Bell contest gives out a free code. I'll probably pre-order just to be safe but still try my chances.

i don't think the regular X will be sold out as fast as the PS edition
you can wait if you won your X or not

I sometimes wonder if I should just stick with my One S as I’ve been gaming on it exclusively for a bit now and haven’t really missed the PS4 Pro that I sold (do miss Earth Defense Force very badly)but then I think about playing Assassins Creed Origins or Red Dead 2 on the One X and decide to stick with it.

Gpu prices seem crazy at the moment, and I paid $190 for the 3gb 1060. It'll definitely be the first thing I upgrade but for now it's doing good in the few games I have (Overwatch, PUBG, Xcom 2)

Yes I have to get one for Red Dead 2 alone, but I'm not really desperate for one on launch day. Especially not if I can get a good game pack in not long after, which I think is very likely.

I entered at 5:30 am on a Sunday morning and won. I also won the overwatch contest Taco Bell did by entering in the early AM.
Super excited to upgrade to the X from my launch console.

If the rumored date is true, the timing is perfect. I started a new job and get my second paycheck on the 21st. I'm going to reserve one and continue saving up for my TCL P605. I would've tried to pre-order the Scorpio Edition, but I hate how they printed Project Scorpio on the console and controller. For those of you who did pre-order one, how much money did GameStop require you to put down?

This is my plan or gamestop has a good trade-in special. The regular XB1 still gets the job done so I can wait. If no good deal materializes, no biggie. I'll buy one sometime in late Jan/early Feb, which is really when the deals run dry.

Yes I think it should be possible to get a game bundle on maybe black friday, I don't see them being sold out everywhere either. Plus I'm not really a fan of the Scorpio design, the plain black is much cleaner IMO.

Wasn't sure where else to post this and it's too dumb to create another thread, so here goes. I just realized that the iPhone X being referred to as the "iPhone ten" means we can also refer to the Xbox One X as the Xbox One Ten. We're getting closer to 360 again boiz!

$100 down but I used the previous trade in bonuses to pay it off at once.

I just got the TCL P605 this weekend and Im super impressed with this tv. I have the PS4 pro and even other systems that are 1080 look better because of the amazing color on this thing. Keep saving and you won't be disappointed! HDR/Dolby Vision look amazing on this thing in 4k. Youtube, Netflix, Hulu support is great on Roku.

Quick question, slightly OT:

Do a lot of sequel games carry across choices or character progression from original games?

e.g., I know that FIFA games carry across your account info and certain progression.

The reason I ask is that if the XOX turns out to be as good as expected, I may end up getting my multi-platforms on it instead of the ps4. I'm not sure how this will affect game/gameplay in games such as Battlefront II, or Shadow of War etc (if indeed there's any affect at all).

Sorry, I know that it sounds silly.

I thought it would have been today to counter any hype or news coming out of TGS but I don't think there was so they didn't have too, lol.

Anyone know when the embargo for the recent press events gets lifted? Cause that will be the day that preorders go up.

Hoping for more great pre-order numbers. The more people that buy this console, the more support from developers it's going to get.

I'm starting to wonder whether to keep the console. I have a real nice 4K TV (Samsung KS8000), but I'm not really sure how much I'll end up using the console or even if it'll have support at all.

MS' first party offerings are dismal as well...

If anything, what might make me keep it is that it's already a 4K Blu Ray player.

I don't have faith that I'll win at all, let alone right away. I'll be pre-ordering just to be safe. It'll be easy enough to cancel if I get lucky.

I like the way One "X" sounds better as well, but I'm also pretty happy with saying "One ten". Continue the tradition of silly numbers with me damnit!

This morning Target canceled my Xbox One X Scorpio Edition. I'm super disappointed. I guess I can try Amazon or BestBuy for the regular model. I feel like I've been hit by a car :/ After calling Target, they said it's because my new REDcard came, but I called before activating to make sure I was safe. They said everything would be fine. Today they said no it always will cancel preorders.

Are we thinking normal edition X's will be available on day one? Not sure whether I want that dotted pattern on my console on the Scorpio Edition.
