Cena on the E and C show

Edge and Cena refer to each other as "shoe" because working each other was the equivalent of putting on an old shoe. They talked about the great chemistry they have together in the ring and how much they wrestled each other.

Edge says Cena may have found a new shoe in AJ Styles. Cena praised AJ and Christian said Cena's chemistry with AJ was similar to his chemistry with Edge. Cena said AJ was the culmination of WWE signing very gifted performers in a physical aspect. Cena loves being given the chance to showcase guys like AJ, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk.

Cena talked about some NXT callups struggling to adjust to the main roster and the scope and scale of a global audience. Edge used Nakmaura as an example of someone not finding it initially. Cena says that with a character like Nakamura you have to explain what the interesting is. He said he knows he's working hard on conveying to the audience better and on his promos. Cena says that while the roster is more gifted then ever he feels that with the absence of a marquee personality there is a giant grand canyon of relationship between superstar and audience and he doesn't know who are lot of these guys are.

Cena said the amount of complacency is staggering. He said there has never been a better time to make a name for yourself in WWE with all it's platforms. Cena said every single day he goes out there and takes chances. Edge once again said establishing a dialogue with Vince is incredibly important. Cena said he thinks these guys feel like a piece of a system rather then a creative force.

Edge said Roman felt out of his element up against Cena yet he still feels it was his best promo performances as he tapped into his emotion. Cena's biggest hangup with Reigns is his inability to connect with the audience. Cena says he has a respectful but definitive rivalry with Roman because they both want to be number 1. Cena wants to help Roman tap into his personality and emotion.

Cena made a promise to himself that as soon as he feels himself getting a step slow in there he can't justify performing for the audience because he doesn't want to be that person, he hasn't gotten there yet but he has some talks with himself. He said he is still far from done with WWE. He feels like WWE is his home and feels massive amount of loyalty to Vince. He feels like it is time for guys to stand up and take it.

Someone asked me about Aleister Black matches before WWE if he was any good, so was looking at what was free on YouTube and came across this worked-shoot match with Daniel Bryan.

Such a different style, but I kind of fucking love it. Does anyone know about the Ambition Series this was a part of and is it all worth watching?

Cena on the E and C show

You always hear vets harp on how people need to approach Vince and be assertive, but I'd have to imagine that whatever dynamic there was before between Vince and his wrestlers, it's gone now. Vince and the old guard really want to believe that there's just this brass ring that can be taken, but it just doesn't appear to be the case. I guess it's easier to believe that they're only holding themselves down and not that the apparatus is fundamentally broken.

People aren't hungry

Almost like there's no competition and reason to be motivated when they have no plans for you

They just don't work as hard!

This sounds like "where's my handout?"

Look at Jason Jordan. He could be doing more. He was given his handout and ain't the guy.

Alice In Chains Unplugged is delightful. Can't say I care about any others

Jason Jordan is someone who wasn't the guy who they up and decided is the guy

Being exposed isn't the same as not working hard enough

I don't fully buy that. Punk got his spot by being a guy that was complaining. From what Daniel Bryan said on the E&C podcast, he told Vince when he heard about how he wanted Roman to be the next Cena that he himself wanted to be the next Cena and got at least a shot at it.

The stories you hear are about a lot of guys who get on and are happy to be at the show these days. You don't hear about the shark tank atmosphere the 90's and before guys talked about.

NeoGAF Vince McMahon, will you cry when your boy-toy Vince McMahon dies later this year?

Lots of folks will, because they loved his entertainment. Expect him to be immortalized.

He was given opportunity, he's not running with it. Next!

His new look was so beneficial.
Just saying: Unplugged is the only Nirvana album I see fit to own.
That's because you suck! And so does Life is Strange! And other things you like!
Bleach is the only good Nirvana album
Bleach is my 2nd fave. In Utero takes the cake imo.
I suddenly lost a bit of interest in that South Park game
What happened now?
It isn't. It's also the most boring 'safe' answer when someone asks your favorite album

like I don't even want to engage with you on favorite albums if you're going to pick that one.
Get'im :')

I haven't heard many Unpluggedz, actually. Maybe three or four. Certainly not Alice in Chainz. But I do like Nirvana's. It's an interesting thing. I feel the emo-shinnn so much during "In the Pines." That's some stuff, brother.

So we're talking a handful of guys in a peer group in the dozens upon dozens over the past 7+ years? Those are the only ones that made a sincere push? That I don't buy.

It's this weird dynamic where everyone understands that the system of booking and creative is so fundamentally scatterbrained and ill-conceived that the only way to rise above it is to be some dynamic firebrand who pulls up themselves by the bootstraps and makes something of themselves. It's no different than working for a company with incompetent management that blames its employees for not doing the job that management should be doing well in the first place.

The emo-shinnn is strong in the AIC one because Layne sounds like he's dying.
he was
The pain runs deep, brother

Boots will be able to tell you a bit more perhaps, but Ambition is a shoot style tournament that wXw run, at least currently, alongside their big 16 Karat Tournament. Matt Riddle won the last one. I hear good things. I think they should be some on Highspots Network, or wXw Now.

Tetsujin is a similar tournament that ran in 2015 with UK guys, the video is on Demand PROGRESS if you have it, and they have a second tournament coming up next year.

i can't wait for roman to get the 1 2 3 on cena

end this shitty shooting stuff with cena just having all his points go to waste

Cena raising his hand as the thread descends into chaos

I hope they have him pull a Bryan and stick around to give a promo saying he was wrong and actually Reigns is a great wrestler who deserves to beat Brock and be world champ

Yes. Have it become just a regular worked work in the end after all of the build up.
