To piggy back off the topic from yesterday - Predator 2 is another one of those movies that gets shit on for no real good reason. It's basically a Lethal Weapon/Predator crossover.

Hot take - Predators is a pretty okay movie too

Some I think just never really got away from the "this concept is stupid" thing, taking Predator to the city was admittedly a hard sell even back then, let alone now for anybody watching the whole series

It's a good film, but I know I like the first film more, and I may even like Predators more (despite that second half)

I'm looking forward to the new film

I like Predator 1 but I don't hold it in some high regard. Awesome creature and awesome dudes with guns but neither reaaaaally does shit. Most of the "dudes with guns" shit is just shooting at nothing in the forest while yelling

It's a better movie but 2 has more going on for sure (granted I haven't seen in a long time, I've been meaning to rewatch)

Film criticism in general is a joke. If many of what are now considered classics released today, they'd be sitting at the lower end of that like/dislike scale too. Plus, RT isn't reliable for anything before the early 00s.
