After the purchase continuously failed for nearly 2 weeks, I managed to finally preorder the Limited Edition from GAME (UK).
Weird that BB has it a CE but it's not. Gonna email amazon to see what's up with the discount
That's pretty neat. What other games will be in the Switch's launch lineup for Taiwan and South Korea?

Sadly I'm still disappointed about the character design, his scavenger outfit really bugs me to no end (and the somewhat exposed thong on Pyra is ugh), wish there was some cosmetic customization or preorder skin to change them.
It may sound extremely stupid but it's actually making me uninterested in the game, last time this happened was with FFXII, couldn't stand Vaan design and dropped the game halfway.

The Hardcover artbook looks decent. But I'll stick to my european edition, it's not worth the import fee for me.
I want that artbook in the special edition, but the allure of a digital copy is too strong. I've gone all digital since Zelda at launch, and it's been glorious.

Heh, the second track is actually my favorite. That bit at 2:14 that sounds straight out of the third Chrono game we never got gives me shudders.
Id be very surprised if there's no other outfits in this game, considering other Xenoblade games.

I guess opinions and all but I could never let character designs stop me from playing a game especially if it's a great one.
Seeing how the past two games were great I expect nothing less.

Got my SE locked in at Amazon. 104$ is gonna be a bit tough to chew with the standard only being 52 with Prime. But I'll keep both preordered and see how funds are looking right before the 1st.

Don't make me be "that guy", the design screams what they look like.
I have nothing against fanservice, and even if I may sound like a bigot, for me it's plain bad design (same with the Rex cowboy chaps thing going on, it just rubs me wrong).
Really, I was just hoping for an alternative, but I guess i derailed this enough, would've been better "any info about different skins?" I guess, my bad.
Kept following a bit of the media about this game, no character customization was shown I believe.
It happens, I know it's a limit on my behalf, can't do anything about it.
Considering how equipment displaying on your character has been a thing all this time I cant see any reason why it wouldnt be here too. Pyra being a blade maybe not for her, but at least we should be able to change Rex' hammertime pants.
The fact that it was there in previous game doesn't really mean shit though. They could have decided against it for a large number of reasons, and saving a lot of time can be one, especially if you consider they have Blades to model now.
This is basically where I'm at. An extra $53 is a lot, so we'll see I guess when it gets closer if it still seems worth it to me.
I dunno, there's still a lot of negativity. The hype levels are roughly the same as it has been for a couple of weeks. Also, 2 million is a bit high. It's not impossible, just really unlikely. It would require tremendous word-of-mouth to achieve that sort of number. Neither the original or X made it past 1 million, so yeah... I do believe it'll be more successful and I hope it exceeds Nintendo and Monolith Soft's expectations.

There is no savings. Best Buy I think has savings and was up for days. Amazon waited to long.
For collector/special editions that aren't hugely oversized (i.e., just have an artbook, no big statue, etc), don't EVER trust Amazon shipping. Any 3DS collector edition, including 3 copies of Fire Emblem Shadow of Valentia (they re-sent it to me 2 times before I gave up), all came damaged because they insist on using bubble mailers each time even though they said they would use a box. The special pre-order editions of KH and Yakuza 0 all came damaged because again they insisted on using bubble mailers.
The only collector editions I haven't had issue with from Amazon were really large ones like Fallout 4 and Zelda Breath of the Wild...

You do know the discount doesn't go up immediately sometimes, right? It took FE Warriors' SE some days to get. If at that point it does, you can cancel and reorder it for the discount, assuming it's still in stock..

Well its a world with different races living on dying Titans, the place to go would be Elysium (sounds like a save haven) but it's probably not that easy. Also the Civilisations probably won't look forward to drown in the cloud sea, so they will fight for ressources and Elysium.
Blades are living Weapons, and the blade Pyra (the girl with the thong) is a special one, that probably could cause the destruction of the world or so. They remind me a bit of Personas (sorry, i'm playing persona 4 atm and can't help to bring it in)
Why i can't wait to play this: The worlds look great, i love the setting that reminds me of Skies of Arcadia a bit, there are different races with different cultures living on different titans with a variety of different landscapes to explore, it's from takahashi and it will be more centered around the story and presentation, like Xenobalde 1 and it won't have a empty MC like X. Exploration seems to be a mix of Xeno 1 and X. The battlesystem of Xenoblade 1 was good, but it needed time to really get into it (imo). This looks more self explanatory.
For me, it's a storydriven Takahashi Xenoblade, theres no reason for me to doubt it. The style goes well for the game, cause the ingame characters look better than in previous games. And i can't wait to see the storytwists and mindfucks, which are inevitable.
What am i even writing with my bad english. Buy the fucking game, it's Xenoblade 2, you can ride on a tiger, explore gigantic giants, there are halfnaked girls that are weapons, the world will end and there will be lot's of twists in the story and lots of fights against lots of big mighty beasts. And you can beat the crap out of characters that are designed by Nomura, that's a bonus i guess.
Thanks that was a great video. I am sure I will be dying for a good RPG when this comes out and the combat system looks interesting. I am looking forward to this but good grief this game is fugly. The environments look impressive but everything else is just looks really bad to me. I will be buying this day one regardless of my personal distaste for the art style and hopefully I will be finished with the six or so other games that I am eagerly anticipating...

Yup, I jumped ship to GCU for this, was gonna move a couple of games over for the 10 dollars off certificate but I don't think I can edit my Best Buy preorder to include to 10 dollars off at this point.

Im so hyped for this, got my collectors edition locked up!
But for a fairly green RPG gamer, it looks quite intimidating. My rpg experience is limited to Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG and the Project Octopath Demo.
While many complained about the length of the recent XC2 trailer on the Direct, it was hand for the likes of me to understand some of the mechanics. I'll probably end up rewatching it a few more times!

Ill probably buy a switch for this, I just really hope the audio mixing is good! It was insane they were able to make me hate skells in XBX by making an entire vocal song start and restart anytime i tried to jump or fly

They do a good job of easing you into the mechanics during the game at least that was my experience with the first Xenoblade.
