McDonalds Brings Back Szechuan Dipping Sauce on October 7th, One Day Only

This is exactly it, they milk the living fuck out of every single line to the point that it's no longer funny anymore. I understand that people can really get into a show and enjoy everything but there's a limit, people seem desparate to try and turn every little thing in the show into some epic meme.

That is what happens when people who are neither clever or funny latch onto to something as a way to try and convince those around them that they either.

This whole thing is amazing.

I love all the tweets of people making shit up about why they're pissed.

You're just going to sell them on eBay.

Anyway, can't wait to read twenty articles and opinions on how everyone who likes this show but me is an asshole.

Is it possible to have an episode where Rick wants health care or is it impossible to get nerds to rally behind anything that would actually matter

In all seriousness, isn't this the reaction McDowell's wanted? They knew some of the hardcore fans for this show suck ass, but they used them to drum up tonnes of free publicity for their somewhat down on its luck, un-cool, brand.

And low and behold, there will be all the sauce you want in a few months...

Did anyone honestly expect this situation to play out in any other way?

Now I'm not sure if I want to mention I enjoy Rick and Morty when I'm talking to friends. They'll just assume "Ohhh you're one of those guys".

This fucking sauce situation ruined the shows reputation (if it wasn't already).

The show should rip into these idiots hard.

Not that they'll get it.
Dan Harmon has called them assholes already after they harassed the female writers (we can all acknowledge if you’re a man baby over some sauce, you’re probably an asshole who harasses female writers on your supposed favorite show). So no they won’t get it. They’ll loudly exclaim “I guess rick and morty is some SJW shit now” and still watch, but slightly more bitter now (jokes on them I guess 🤷🏽*♂️)

I love the series, but I have never interacted with anyone, read much about it or ever spoken to people about it in forums beside this thread.

Seems thing will stay that way.

This just makes me embarrassed of liking Rick and Morty. Seems like a terrible fanbase.

I mean, they even ruin the one liners and jokes of the show by just being obnoxious and running everything into the ground.
Same here. I don't even try and recommend the show like I did during the first season. I know a guy whose like these fans and actually runs a stupid Rick and Morty Facebook fan page. Dude even livestreams himself reviewing each episode after they air.

I've been thinking about jumping into this show to see what the hype is all about. After seeing this I'm good.

It is a good show. You can watch it, enjoy it, and still not be a part of its fanbase.

But then again maybe you just don't have the intellectual power to fully grasp the comedy within the show though.

Yeah, I actually find it pretty easy to avoid them except for when there are big stories like this. I see more reasonable people complaining about the fanbase than I actually see anything from the crazy fans. I'm not into meme factories like 4chan and stay away from the subreddit which I assume is a shit show. It's pretty easy to just enjoy on my own terms without rushing to see what annoying people are saying.

This doesn't seem so bad, unless I'm missing something.

I literally just started watching it this past week and love it (had no idea it was from the guy who made Community).

You shouldn't let some stupid fans turn you off from watching it, they have 0 bearing on the actual show being good or not.
