That is broken and has been for a few weeks now. It is odd that they haven't fixed it yet.
I was wondering why people jump and punch. That is a pretty stupid mechanic IMO.
If I know I'm about to die from punches I run toward gunfire. I figure I might as well lead the person killing me toward the gunfire so they can possibly be killed right after me.

Ugh. I'm just so garbage at this game. I always want to engage with people and I usually win gunfights, but then it draws so many other people to me and I end up dying by someone I didn't see. I just don't like the passive avoidance of fighting until absolutely necessary. I made it to rank 94 doing the latter. But trying to actually engage with people, I'm now above 1000 again.
I have learned this the hard way.
I felt the same way when I started trying to practice shooting. In what feels like the majority of situations, it's better not to shoot and just let everyone else murder each other late game so your position is secret.
Effective but boring.
I've been setting traps lately by dropping stuff in houses that I'm hiding in and taking a position. Energy drinks, painkillers, clothes, ammo, possibly a gun (pistol or something). So far it's been about 50-50. People see the items and think "no one's been here yet" because people clearly would've taken that stuff. So, they run to the health/items and HAOJKASHJNFKJBASFASJNASDKgun to the back.
Meh. I think it great that even when you dont have a weapon you have a slim fighting chance.

Yeah it's just hard to find the motivation to play that when people in general don't want to engage, and when you do you're punished by all the sound you're making.
Meanwhile in Fortnite, I built a sky fortress over the last circle and killed the final guy with a rocket launcher

why, at least when playing solo, ive started doing what a lot of the streamers do and just go where most ppl drop (school, military etc).
if i die, i die early game but if i make it out at least im leaving the early game with a couple kills
makes the chicken dinners better when they're with 6+ kills

They're complete bullshit, because actual melee weapons are WORSE than punches most times. Melee in the game is complete garbage, with one punch able to down somebody but not a pistol shot sometimes.
Anyway, any news on an update? Wonder what they got cooking up this month.

Dunno when this change happened but I just noticed earlier that sprinting will cancel out of leaning now. Nice QOL change for the times I don't realize I'm leaning and briefly don't understand why I can't run.
Now I just need to figure out what prevents auto-run from happening, for those times when I stand still like an idiot because some slight inertia, slope, or key cancels it.
My GAF squad abandoned me after they died early into the game. They missed out on a feast.

Yea its pretty damn obvious. The guy drove up to us, got out, and immediately 3 headshots to my face, then 3 headshots to my friend, then 3 headshots to our other friend. Same guy, by himself. We saw him on the kill feed getting kills all over too. By the time the first circle was about to close, 25 left alive.
Well for one if you see a name like WG-QUN-(something), or the various other dead giveaways, you can be certain you're getting head shot by an aim bot eventually if someone else doesn't kill you first.
I had one the other night also. One guy with an M249 killed off the last 20 or 30 people as the circle closed in on Yasnaya. When it was our turn, we were separated between the police station and a 3 story building across the street. He got all of us within seconds when we weren't even near the windows.

Looks like there was a very small battleye update today, hopefully it's better.

Last one I encountered killed everyone with a shogtun. Killed the entire lobby lol. My squad and I were the last ones alive and he killed us all in succession with the shotty. Couldn't see him though I think he was underneath he map.

1) To the player who purposefully parked their out of gas UAZ on the side of the road to look like a spawn, screw you
2) To the guy who figured out that I jumped from the apartment roof and was outside the balcony window: Sorry, but at least now you know not to just crouch in the open and wait for them to peek, and that revolvers can oneshot through a level 2 helmet

Neither of them can kill each other. The circle is closing. I kill the guy near me but now I have to run into the circle. The other guy sees me and easily kills me as I run in.
So to the guy I killed: fuck you for being incompetent! That woulda been an easy win

I had the same thing. I had a perfect headshot lined up for one guy but couldn't the other. Lol. Something similar happened to me the other day, from the other players perspective. Me and my teammate were in a bad spot and needed to charge the circle, where we knew the enemy was behind cover. We also knew there was a hider outside the circle, but refusing to budge.
We charge in and the hider kills my friend. So I start cowering prone hoping I bought myself a few seconds. Dude on the point throws a grenade and I scramble up and charge him, somehow winning the gunfight. Hider thinks he has the drop on me now but I expected him, so I jump around the wall firing blindly. Won with a sliver of health left.
I'm not good at playing aggressively, but it has worked well lately. I'll get my ass handed to me often, but I wouldn't have won that match if I didn't force the fight on my terms.
Got team killed in the final 3 yesterday. I think the dude panicked because he was very apologetic. I was more frustrated that he went out to revive me, leaving a good position to immediately get murdered and losing us the game.

I was playing squad mode and right in the beginning before we had decent weapons my team got pinned down in a house. We were super far from the circle, and the rest of my team died right as the blue closed in, so in desperation I ran outside and stole the enemy squad's car and drove off honking the horn and leaving them to certain death.
Has anyone actually been killed by the red zone ever? I've played for over 60 hours now and I no longer bother taking cover.
My squadmate who has a ton more time than me under his belt says I'm just ridiculously lucky, but as far as I cant tell I don't think I could get hit even if I tried.

It is simultaneously very rare and yet feels completely unfair when it happens.

In 200 hours, so far I've decided to not run out of the red zone twice.
I've been killed by the red zone twice.
It kind of sucks how quiet Bluehole went on the development timeline of things. I appreciate their need to ensure content comes out and is tested efficiently but we've essentially gotten no word since the fog/MK14 update on what is happening next besides some vague November window for vaulting. At a time where Fortnite is eating at your pie you'd be wanting to vocalise just what it is you are working on considering the development is Early Access and things should be moving through content schedules/planning.
Not to say this game has stopped being fun, quite the opposite. Despite playing Fortnite more in the past few weeks I still enjoy coming back to PUBG for that realistic touch, I just want that performance and content pipeline to be known or talked about in some form. And OCE FP squad, gimme it plz.

Yesterday I played some FPP Squads we all landed in Rozhok except one guy who had computer problems and had to land in Pochinki. Us in Roz got into a firefight and tldr: the guy from Pochinki came just as we were getting into it. All of us who originally landed in Roz died, but the other guy avenged us all and wiped the other team.
The circle ended up staying in Rozhok, and he got another 4 or of 5 kills as the last man standing to carry us for the chicken dinner!

In one case it was "Sorry dude, need your helmet"
And in the other it was "Hey, come here a minute"
Fair enough, I probably won't learn my lesson until it actually happens lol. Also based on my current attitude I wouldn't feel it was unfair so much as long time coming.
I assume you meant to say you decided to go out only twice, and died both times? That's crazy to me, seems horribly unlucky.
In 200 hours I don't worry too much about it, and I have been knocked down once, and I was revived. However any vehicle that I leave in the open when I go into a house, that is toast
Sounds more like the enemy had the no buildings bug which is why he could see him all the time.

I was in a squad game the other night and two out three team mates got downed by it, one guy got hit it by it twice as it followed us.
