I’m usually 5-6 and it’s constantly bad. Gotta get that 7-8 consistently and maybe then I’ll be able to judge whether that’s actually the cause of certain problems.

I did very well in college and have a solid job but, realistically, I’d be a much smarter person/have retained a lot more of what I’d learned throughout high school + college had I slept better and that’s sorta painful to think about sometimes.

that or dealt better with my anxiety + potentially an undiagnosed attention disorder, which is what I’d like to figure out

I just get sleep debt and crash for 10h+ during the weekends before waking up and doing other stuff.

I don't actually spend that much time gaming during the weekends for awhile now. Got other stuff to do.

I don't know how you guys survive on 4-5h of sleep. Anything below 6:30 and i'll get literally nothing done that day

You gotta learn to time your rem cycles man.

I can be perfectly alert the whole day from 3 hours of sleep and feel like shit all day from 10 hours of sleep.

I only sleep probably 4-5 but then I just lay in bed with my eyes closed for another 2+ hours. I want to get to a point where instead of doing that I get up like Brad does and I have time to do stuff before work every day.

I’ve been using a bullet journal to try to manage time better which hasn’t been helpful at work but not so much in my personal life because generally after work it's hard to muster the energy to do stuff, even something small like the sustained attention required to read a book can be difficult some days. I do keep a good sleep schedule, generally sleep 11-6:30 which gives me time to exercise, meditate, generally take it easy each morning before I head to work.

I get not having the energy to do much at the end of the day, though that's usually because I go home at 9-10 either from work or doing other stuff.

It takes quite a bit for any media to hook me into consuming it at the end of the day, which is why I'm surprised that I finished that many games this year.

Also, I think Toonami is having an actual negative impact on my life because it has me staying up until 4 in the morning on Saturdays and screwing up my sleep for the upcoming work week. Anime is a health hazard is what I'm saying.

Yeah because you have crazy long commutes.

But hey, at least you can play stuff on a phone/3DS/Switch while on the train.

Put me in the 5 hours of sleep a night camp. Used to be 3 and then I just sleep 9 hours as soon as I get home on Wednesday to tide me over until the weekends, where I conk out for 11 hours.

Is Toonami still good? I watched with the OT around the time Space Dandy was airing, but kind of fell off after their content fell into reruns and a group of friends and I started having a board game night on Saturdays.

I tend to get 6 hours of sleep on weekdays, it definitely isn't enough anymore. Need to get more but I definitely find it difficult to balance that with everything else I want to accomplish.

How many games did you guys buy this year?

Not counting cheaper, older games during a steam sale (that totals about $40)

Snipperclips
Snake Pass
Kamiko
NBA Playgrounds
Splatoon 2
ARMS
Puyo Puyo Tetris
Picross S
Golf Story
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Stardew Valley

Battlegrounds
Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Bokida - Heartfelt Reunion

Persona 5
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Nier: Automata

From this year I'd still like to check out Prey, The Sexy Brutale, Fidel, and maybe Tacoma. Probably not gonna get to those with Mario and Zelda DLC coming out though.

Too many games!

It's very good. Line up is solid right now. really fun to watch along with the thread too. But as I said I'm really thinking about not watching anymore. Feels like I'm a zombie until mid week and I think staying up all hours of the night watching friggin' anime every weekend is what's doing me in.

Yeah part of the problem is that I waste so much time waking up in bed and messing with my phone (partially because not enough sleep means I’m not totally awake).

I’m also definitely a night owl but reasonably sleeping early + doing stuff before work would be the ideal if I can force my brain to realize it’s ok to stop doing things and sleep.

I need to start using my Hobonichi more like this than just a diary, or at least listing goals for the day again (since that has been helpful). I’d used a daily planner for a year or so in college before moving to just a calendar on my phone, then moving back to the Hobonichi as a planner this past year, but since I graduated I stopped using it for that as much since it’s not like I have irregular commitments/work that aren’t 9-5 job stuff. I like the phone calendar because it lets me move things around easily as I change my mind or get things started later than planned, I guess, but that’s not as conducive to actually sticking to the plan.

Judging from this thread, nobody ever sleeps. I see people posting 24/7.

That's how I always feel too. I'm usually good for randomly throughout work, and then a couple hours at home before bed, but it seems like the same people are grinding this out 24/7, haha

During the Raid streams I would see people post that they were going to bed, and then post later when I was still watching the stream.

I basically need 7 hour of sleep or I feel terrible. I don't drink coffee though.

I do post a lot at work.

If it's not a busy period I'm alt-tabbing constantly through my regular haunts.

My attention is pretty terrible if I don't have a specific thing to focus on.

How are these? I've read they are awesome, and I was thinking of picking one up for myself and for my girlfriend as a christmas present. It's like $120 for two of them shipping to the states though, which is kind of ridiculous for a planner. But they seem to be really high quality and if it keeps me more on track, it's probably a good get.

Yeah, posting and watching along with the thread was alot of fun, especially when you could pay more attention to the thread reactions instead of the show because you'd already seen what was airing. The SAO reactions were absolutely the best. I'll probably dip back in when FLCL airs next year. I agree with you on staying up late kind of killing the sleep cycle, though I still stay up super late on Friday and Saturday cause I'm actually a night owl.

Judging from this thread, nobody ever sleeps. I see people posting 24/7.

I have a bad habit of falling asleep when I get home from work, waking up at like 11pm and then being awake until 4 or 5am. It's something I'm trying to correct but it's been a hard habit to break.

I need 10 hrs of beauty sleep

It's not helping.

Similar here, though moreso when I’m working from home. Definitely been better now that I have an actual desk at home and I’m not just working at our kitchen table or sitting on my bed though.

How are these? I've read they are awesome, and I was thinking of picking one up for myself and for my girlfriend as a christmas present. I love mine and it’s really cool to actually have a log of everything I did that year (which is more or less the purpose of them), particularly since the paper’s very nice (which got me into some cheap fountain pens) and I can tape things like movie tickets in too. But like I said sometimes I end up using it more like a diary than an actual planner. I do think it’s very nice as a planner though, with several ways to track what’s coming up and such.

The quotes are very endearing too.

I've been listening to the "I'm a dog" song the beast crew usually plays during the pre-stream.

What is wrong with me.
