Most anticipated game this year! From what I've seen, it might be my GOTY! Can't wait!
Yea there's even in store demos at my local Game today and we rarely get anything like that. Which I'm tempted to go check out.
Neither Black Flag or Unity appealed to me and I eventually bought them months later in sales and really liked both games and they made it into a very short list of 15+ hours games that I completed before becoming bored with, and re-played a second time.
This game appeals even less so I should like it even more, right? :-/

Think the game will do really well.
People missed AC from that year break. Even if some wont admit it haha.
There are enough big changes for it to feel fresh again. Especially combat got a big overhaul and thing people get really tired off after many years.
People have been waiting for Egypte for a long time.
Made by the Black Flag team wich is rated as on of the better ones overall (even tho it wasnt i really good AC game tho. But a great pirate game)

It looks like a typical Ubisoft game. Won't disappoint fans but GOTY? I highly doubt that.
Since I don't own a Switch yet and am not interested in multi-player games I will buy it nevertheless.
While it might not get GOTY officially people can like a game so much that they consider it their GOTY you know...
I can see it being GOTY especially if there's good surprises that haven't been revealed yet

This will probably do a lot better than syndicate, but not as much as unity.
The only "GOTY" that has any value is your own, anyway.
It think it will actually, not by much, but the user base is really high nowadays, and the game is going to get great reviews.

So do I, but I'm hopeful, and the marketing push has been really high. It all rests on the game.

I promised myself that I wouldn't buy all three games releasing on the 27th months ago, but Ubisoft has such done a phenomenal job of showing off origins that im considering this heavily.

If youre in the US and have GCU, you may want to consider waiting on other games until the Black Friday Buy 2 get 1 free sale. Im picking up AC, but holding off on any other purchases until then.

is it me or is the frame rate absolutely horrible? first time seeing it like this. OG Xbox version? oh boy, I'm so worried about the base ps4 performance.

It likely does as Unity had baked lighting.
Granted it's still gorgeous and packed with detail.
They should have have a shot at this system again, or pack some kind of hybrid.
Facial animation and overall models were out of this world on Unity too, it wasn't only the lighting.

Totally remade from scratch combat-system (Now Dark Soul-ish), full-on long overdue rpg implementation, promising story and interesting characters. AND ALSO NO MINIMAP !!!
So it's definitely more promising than Unity.
AC serie was stuck on the same game systems since the III, i really hope it's the return of the AC franchise. It was just so sad that such an amazing idea was flawed by a boring combat system.
I loved every mainline AC games (except Revelation and IV) because it's really the only one serie that can put you back into the past, and it was just a pleasure to delve into revolutionary Paris, renaissance Italy or medieval middle-east.
Probably the stream. All the vids we saw were really solid.

Why is this a good thing? The compass at the top of screen was the only bad thing about Horizon: Zero Dawn.
It wouldn't be an AC game without them.
it's been proven that with a minimap you only look at, well, the minimap when playing. They did eye tracking and everything. And I agree, I turn off the minimap in every game because that's how I feel.
