Nu Metal is awesome. It's raw, euphoric and the lyrics range from funny to surprisingly relatable. The sound is very distinctive and the bands that bring hip hop into the mix are my favorite.

As a RN, I treat every patient with the same high standards of care regardless of who you are. No amount of privilege, title, money, race, sex, or whatever is going to change that. I don't give a single solitary fuck about who you know that you think is important or your professional title/affiliation. I don't care. It is not going to change the quality of your care and it is certainly not going to intimidate me or make me think twice on how I administer care.
If you receive anything from the government, please show respect to the resources given to you and practice a sense of thankfulness/frugality. Whether that be EBT, student loans, using public parks, or using the interstate, be mindful and respect that society does not have unlimited resources and you should use what has been given to you, wisely. I hate the individual who drops his trash off the side of the road just as much as the adult who spends his EBT exclusively on potato chips and soda while watching his children starve equally. They are both awful individuals who have no respect for anything. It is regretful, but they are both trash.
A CNA is not a nurse, they are a technician that works under my license. A LPN is a paraprofessional that works under my license. The professional nurse is a Registered Nurse, period. This only becomes an issue when the CNA claims to be a nurse or an LPN claims they can do everything I can do. They can't, both legally and clinically. I have a world of respect for both of them, and I've worked as a CNA for a long number of years and there is a place for both of them within nursing. But I hate it when they claim more than what they are. This is like a Physician's Assistant stating, "I went to medical school, and it was harder than MD and I do most of what they do anyway". No, you really don't and if you did, you would be an MD, not a PA. Period. End of story. There is a place for the mid-level provider (NP, PA) but neither one is a physician (MD).

To briefly answer your question, I believe in "small government" (reduced, or necessarily minimal, federal government spending), lower taxes, and very importantly, privatization (the control and operation of business by the private sector). So essentially, a lot of the stuff that was championed by the economist Milton Friedman.
Anyway, that answer will have to suffice for now, as I have to get back to work.

Paternity tests should just be an automatic and standard procedure with hospital births. With the process now being affordable enough, people should have a right to know with scientific certainty both sides of their parentage - especially to know what medical issues might run through their family and for what dangers to take extra caution against

I say "experts" because Reaganomics are possibly the worst economic decision that has ever been made in the United States, and it basically boils down to "give the rich more money". Taxes and government intervention are the cornerstone that modern first world countries are based around, as it gives us all a uniform playing field so that everyone has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If you leave it to the free market they will inevitably say "fuck the poor" because that's what capitalism is based on.

A million times this. Why the hell do I have to "respect" your beliefs? Most of them aren't deserving of respect, and hold no intrinsic value outside of what YOU think they have.
I'm not going to go around insulting everything about what you believe it but in no way should I be forced or expected to respect them. They're not untouchable.
People who judge others for any behavior or media presence that isn't inherently malicious are acting irrational in doing so and act meaninglessly and needlessly cruel towards others for simply enjoying inconsequential hobbies.
The idea that human evil is a recent phenomenon and that humans are alone in being corrupted as a species is completely naive and the majority of awful human behavior can be boiled down to animalistic instincts that humanity lives in denial thinking they're better than. All the corruption and even ordinary everyday behavior in our society has astonishingly close parallels through millennia of history and one of the major flaws of society is that instead of learning from our mistakes each generation that grows up is newly astonished at the concept of evil as it's revealed to them and assumes it must be something that happened just now instead of something that's been an issue since before civilization existed.
The low effort fan characters and weird kinks of the Sonic fandom are actually tolerable. What makes the fandom toxic is the fact that the line between the fandom and the people who loathe the franchise has blurred to the point that there is no actual distinction and there are so few people that legitimately like the series anymore that I no longer feel welcome in the fandom simply due to the fact that I actually like the franchise.
On that note, I like Sonic, both as a franchise and as a character.

The controls for Splatoon and Kid Icarus: Uprising are actually refreshingly precise and better than the standard control sets they could have been given on their systems.
Both anime and pixelated artstyles are enjoyable, and artstyles that attempt to mimic real life closely look dull and drab.
Aristocats and The Rescuers are both enjoyable movies, and it's OK to just indulge in a little fluff once in a while.
All media is inherently art regardless of the artistic intention, and the distinction between what is and isn't art and is and isn't capable of being intriguing and philosophically analyzed is completely arbitrary.

Final fantasy games are all average and overrated, yes all of them. They are extremely linear, barely offer any freedom in gameplay, they all have melodramatic cringy stories with characters that cry and whine about everything and they are really easy. I tried to get in this series because of it's legacy and I just couldn't do it. Golden sun is actually better than all of them, because it actually has good gameplay both in battle and outside of them, which ff games barely have any.

I've found that as I get older, the less likely I am to engage in debates, especially online. I find absolutely zero value in justifying myself to strangers. I like X, someone replies to me that X is absolute trash and I am just like so? Good for you? What is this person expecting me to reply with? Should I say he/she is wrong? Whether he/she is or isn't doesn't matter to me so why should I bother engaging? I've always been a live and let live guy, but I find that the older I get, the stronger I lean into that stance. My tolerance for cynicism and antagonism is at the lowest point it has ever been. I think my mentality feeds into a post I made for controversial opinions regarding gaming discourse earlier here. Most of my communication these days is done face to face and as an introvert I'd never thought I would prefer that over the internet but the discourse is so much more pleasant, and even then that still depends on the subject matter. I enjoy lighthearted banter, but going beyond that in asking me to give an in-depth analysis of why I like or dislike something or trying to make me justify something and most likely I am not going to bother. I look for motives in people's words and 9/10 they are looking to start something that I have neither the desire nor energy to engage with.
I'm vegan, so all of my opinions on food are unpopular, lol.
I also have no problem wearing leather or wool (last longer than synthetic materials = less impact on the environment overall) and that makes me pretty unpopular with my fellow vegans

This is not a particularly unpopular opinion online, but locally (in the hyper-liberal Pacific Northwest) people react as if you lit their dog on fire if you tell them you consider GMO foods to be a good thing. I feel the same way. People treat arguments as if they're a contest that can be won. Sometimes others have different opinions and that's okay.
I feel like this is only something you can say if you're
1. a member of a privileged class (typically light-skinned men), and
2. under the assumption that what you see in public is somehow representative of what goes behind closed doors.
You typically won't see displays of things like child abuse, child marriage, human trafficking, spouse abuse, and so on, happening in public on a regular basis, but that doesn't mean that these things don't happen and/or aren't a regular occurrence.
And if you're a woman, you do get exposed to sexism on a regular basis - doubly so if you work in a male-dominated field and/or interact with men who are used to having power over others in a regular basis. Under these conditions I absolutely cannot be under any illusion that society as a whole is full of decent people just living their lives in a decent manner.
Basically what I'm saying is - count your fuckin' blessings mate, you're one of the lucky people. The rest of us get to deal with the shit we're handed.
