Uh I havent watched the new trailer due to media blackout...is this a spoiler? I'm pretty sure it was a joke but my friend keeps talking about one of his theories being confirmed.

Luke turning full blown dark side, killing Rey and helping end the resistance in EP 9 would be the best thing ever!

I always thought Luke was on the dark path when he fought vader in 'Jedi'.

Where is this from?

i think it's the flash. Mark Hamil plays the Trickster, who is another character's secret dad.

It's a pretty ace bit of metafiction not only cos of the star wars reference but also because Mark played the Trickster back in the old live-action Flash show and he is the voice of the joker, which is kinda like the trickster but way better

I ... What? Staying in dark from what? Hamill's sense of humor?

He’s funny. Great. Now where does this conversation go?

He’s known to be sarcastic so the line here leaves in doubt that the first teaser trailer that ends with his lines about the Jedi is a red herring does it not?

Rey is going to try to leave training early and Luke is gonna be all like nah. And then try to kill her and spend the rest of the movie hunting her.

That "poster villain looming" point has me legitimately thinking, though.
There has to be a big "I'm your father"-level twist in the second movie of the 3, just so it can be poetry and rhyme and yadda yadda.

I wonder if Luke's actually become sort of extremist for the light side rather than the idea of bringing balance to the Force.

The only thing harder than standing up to a villain is standing up to your "hero."

Tell me if I'm wrong:

Wasn't that only a lie and he was just using the kid?

There wasn't one in AotC. The equivalent was in RotS.

This would be an interesting plot point. Like he failed in bringing peace to the galaxy and training a new Jedi order so he sees another super force warrior on the loose and decides he has to put her down, in the name of “the light side.”
