Will the price raise @ CDkeys?

Tempted to buy it on PC but I got bored fast when I was playing it on PS.

CDKeys usually increases price before release, I dont know where they get all their numbers from but even Elex just last week increased price before release.

I understand the instinctive impulse to save scum but I feel this game is better if you let your actions have consequences. At one point in the game I did a certain thing that gave my character a debuff to all sorts of elemental damage. I was tempted to reload my save but in the end I just decided to play like that and it made things interesting.

Save scumming seems like a game-design consequence. Some games like Dark Souls or Life is Strange are designed in a way that I'm okay playing them without quicksaves.

Ehh, in some games it can be a much more interesting journey to play honest, without savescumming for ideal results. And in Life is Strange's case, rewinding is an actual game mechanic and a core point of the game, while Dark Souls has a single autosave so there is no reloading.

DOS2 is definitely one of those games enhanced by honest runs, though. There's all kinds of surprises worth rolling with if possible.

A part of me really wants to dish out 38$ for Nioh but another part of me doesn't want to support KT shit PC ports. Really hard to resist when you hear so many good things about the game and knowing its a long Souls style rpg. And there is still Prey and Nier that I want to pick up hearing so many good things about them. Its been such a great year for gaming. Gonna be some hard decisions to make this holiday season with all the Steam sales. Some of these great games are definitely not getting played this year :(

Wow at Agents of Mayhem. It must have bombed really hard.

The game got a price cut just in less than a week when it was on sale with a 66% off.
From 59,99€ to 39,99€ and it seems it sold less than 10K units last week.

Geez. Deep Silver must be mad. SInce that was essentially their big title for the year.
Probably sweating about Dead Island 2 now. They don't want a repeat even though Dying Light already ate some of their lunch.

Isn't Dead Island 2 pretty much in development hell anyways

It is. But apparently despite that it is in some sort of dev. I think the issue is it's changed goals three times now. So it's a matter of sumo have to put together a mess of a game in terms of the goals set out in the past to now.

No free game from GeForce experience :(

Well, I’m going to buy an 1180 or whatever they are calling it, but I will be mildly annoyed, so there.

I still don’t buy from cdkeys. Am I being dumb? G2A is still bad, right?

It has nothing to do with being dumb, you dont have to buy from anywhere.

G2A is bad because it is a marketplace anyone can sell on so the keys could be stolen or whatever. CDKeys is a legit website as far as I understand.

So, guys, what do you think? Should I buy The Witcher 3 GOTY already?
It's kinda tempting because it's an awesome price, but I want to read all the books (I already finished the first one) and play the previous games before playing it and I don't know if it will ever be lower after that time span.
Opinions?

If you are really gonna take the time to do all that other stuff first, you might as well wait. I bet it'll be a monthly bundle headliner eventually.

Yeah I am done with Elex. The bad and uninteresting writing would be enough for me to stop. So far I have seen nothing of those interesting quests people speak off. The absolutely terrible combat has like no excuse. How they can build this game for years and everyone thinks this is ok is beyond me. It's unresponsive, has bad hit detection and zero fun. I'd rather have Morrowind combat than this.

I think there are some usb cables that only send through power, and not data, so obviously one of those wouldn't work. But if it sends data then any will work.

Hmm, description is this

GRIFFIN USB to Micro USB 3ft Cable - White

USB to micro-USB charge cable
Because you can never have enough USB cables.

The best USB cable is the one you have with you. This 3-foot (about one meter) cable is compact and easy to carry or stash where you need it.

This cable's got a micro-USB connector at one end, for tablets, e-readers, smartphones and a host of devices too numerous to count; and a Type A standard USB plug at the other end, for connecting to USB chargers or the USB port of your computer.
0.9-meter charge sync cable
Use for e-readers and other USB-chargeable devices
Type A USB to micro-USB plugs
Fits a wide variety of USB-chargeable devices
Lets you use your device while it's charging

Buy. It could kickstart your reading.

If by first book you mean the short story collection, it gives you a good foothold. You don't really need to finish the totality of the books as the game only references them up to a point.

They add depth in certain scenarios, but knowing the characters is key.

That's my dilemma, because damn, it's a low price, but maybe it doesn't reach that point by then. The problem with Humble Monthly is that it wouldn't include the expansions.

I know, but I really like to do things in order. I might buy it to force me to read them and I have 20$ laying around for selling a game.

Thanks to all of you.

Playing Shadow of Mordor again has reminded me how janky that game is.

Case in point: I was riding a Graug (giant ogre-like thing), and a Nemesis orc confronted me. It said something along the lines of, "I'm going to cut you off that Graug!" Immediately afterwards, his Fear of Graugs triggered and he fled from combat. As I chased him atop the Graug, I accidentally clipped him and he died instantly. (Two other Nemesis orcs that wandered by also died, although I managed to have the Graug eat them.) It's just like, if he's afraid of Graugs, maybe have him flee before he tries to confront me while I'm riding one?

It's as though every system, feature, and idea in Mordor was finished and then stitched together into the game at the end of development, with no knowledge or consideration of what the others are. From what I've heard Wardor is similar, which is a bummer.

This replay (well, challenge mode attempts) also reminded me how unfathomably bland Talion is. So much so that replacing him with a completely different character--Lithariel--is a huge improvement. Like, his blandness is downright aggravating... I can't think of another protagonist so actively competing to be nothing.

Is it worse than Risen 3? I couldn't stand that one, and will never understand the praise I saw for it.

It is better than Risen 3, however if you hated Risen 3 you will probably not like Elex. It is still a Pirhana Bytes game through and through. Combat is by far the worst part again, however the rest of the game is lovely (to me) so it is well worth the day one purchase for me.

Also I just read you think Shadow of Mordor is Janky and hated Risen 3 so you will definitely hate Elex.

A wild GPD Win 2 appears

Makes me annoyed - I want a handheld PC for Steam games amongst other services, but I don't want to lose out on extremely unplayable mouse / keyboard oriented games when using the GPD solutions for it.

Make a Steam Controller integrated to it and I would be in

Meanwhile SmachZ looks questionable as hell, but has the controls sort of down...

URGH....
