Both my Dad and brother named Mark. Im a little over saturated to the name but its a good name. My wife and I just had our first child, a son, and I named him Chael so I may not be the best to give advice on conventional names haha
My dad and uncle are Mark. They're great guys. The real trouble is that my dad's brother is named Mike which apparently led to infinite confusion for my grandmother.
It's my middle name and I have known about 20 people by that name. Think it's a bit too common tbh not that I'm suggesting you go celebrity and name it pomegranate.
Thanks I just thought it was a fun topic as I like something more traditional, and I get a say on this one as we named the first one after her father who passed.
I immediately got shut down with its too old fashioned so I thought Id poll some of my buddies here
I have two uncles with that name, so I definitely associate it with an older generation. But I don't really have negative feelings about it. More that it just feels like the name of someone who is already a grown-ass man. Like, if I met a toddler named Mark, I'd expect him to be wearing a suit and offer me a firm handshake, before brushing me off to take a phonecall from a client. "Mark"s come out of the womb having been a partner in the firm for 3 years.
