In-N-Out Burger tops overrated Whataburger as most popular burger in Foursquare.

The fuck goes to Whataburger and checks in on foursquare.

People too busy eating honey butter chicken biscuits to do that shit.

Considering that there is no "In-N-Out" burger in El Paso, TX, it is immediately disqualified and Whataburger wins by default.

lol how many people actually red the article, or even the OP? In and Out only has 35 locations in Texas, most popular my ass lolol

This 'study' is the stupidest fucking shit.

Bullshit study. Looking for that tiny print somewhere saying "study brought to you by In and Out Burger."

In and Out is nothing special. Whataburger isn't the king, but it's better than In and Out. California knows what's up with Canes though, well done.

Nah, you can take In-N-Out somewhere else. I’ll stick to my #5 with no onions, thank you very much.

Shoutout to California & Cane’s. Cane’s is so damn good.

This is heresy. Whataburger destroys that California junk burger.

I like them both but Whataburger is superior!

Basically these are fast food places people want to tell their friends they are at. I "checked in" when I went to In-N-Out in Texas because there aren't too many of them in Texas, and there aren't any at all in Houston ( But they are building some soon ). Whataburgers are everywhere in Texas and not worth sharing when I go there so I'm not going to check in. Chick Fil A is a different animal. Almost everyone likes Chick Fil A and you can make many of your friends jealous if they see you're there, which is why CFA dominates the US map in this category.

No, WE DONT, I bet you over 95% of californians aren't even aware of existence the chain. There are only 8 locations in the whole state, all in Los Angeles!

I LIVE in LA and I didn't even know it was in CA.

Honestly the thread should be closed since this is just clickbait bullshit.

No it doesn't Bueno is the only religion we're allowed to practice outside of Christianity in Oklahoma.

Bueno is fuckin' awful slop

Bell > Bueno any day of the week. Bueno is trash.

Definitely wrong on this. Bueno actually has salsa and mexican food that makes sense (no doritos or fried chicken shell tacos)

They both have their place but Bueno is better.

What a ridiculous way to set up the "study". Let's divide by the number of locations to determine popularity as clearly more locations = bad and fewer = good.
So 200 people liking 2 locations is better than 400,000 liking 4,100 locations using this metric. I guess Bizarro is running the data analysis for Business Insider.

Bullshit study

It simply looked at the average number of visits per location and used that to determine the most popular restaurants. That makes no sense whatsoever. The "study" is a joke and in no way scientific.

That means a hugely popular chain like Whataburger (as evidenced by the fact that it has 19x more locations in TX than In-N-Out) gets penalized for having locations in less populated areas. So supply and demand dictated that Whataburger has 669 restaurants in TX and In-N-Out has 35 but the latter is deemed more "popular".

As a Hawaii person, that map seems odd to me. Popeye's? We have them only on one island in the whole State and it's not like people ever talk about it.

Yeah, that caught my attention as well. But apparently the study was partially done by FourSquare and it's not 2013 anymore, that means pretty much diddly-squat.

Bell has never been mexican food, why do people bring this up?

yes I realize I compared them first!

And i am pretty sure 'visits' is Foursquare Check-Ins.

That hip service these days!

Its because that one Popeye's gets a lot of visits so its now the most popular chain in the whole state because of one location.

The study is crap and the article is nothing but clickbait.

Bueno is terrible. I'd rather pour my dog's Alpo into a hard shell and eat that instead of Bueno.

Has anyone had the coffee milkshake at Whataburger? Is it good?

I like their milkshakes but they’re like 100,000 calories for a small.

In N Out's popularity proves that Californians greatly overrate their mediocre food. They're solid burgers but there's really nothing else notable about them. Whataburger's burgers are better but then they also have awesome breakfast, chicken sandwiches and tenders, and the best fish sandwich I've had at a fast food joint. It's no contest which is better.

Yup. Bad methodology

I have been to the US quite many times and lived a year in Texas.

Never had Chic fil a, have i missed out or what? Seems it's very popular.

Have had Whataburger (was ok, too much mustard on the burger for my liking) and In n Out, was great, loved the bun, sauce and the fresh veggies.

Its good but the small is like 400-500 calories like all the others so I don't get it like ever.

Give me any of these in Colorado please- Chik-Fil-A is overrated, but I feel surrounded by people who think it’s the best thing on the face of the earth. I miss In-N-Out. The only reason I didn’t finish it the last time I was in CA was a ridiculous hangover.
