+1 for Cuphead, all this uncanny valley nonsense is too much for me.

F1 2017 also looks incredibly sharp and still has me pausing the game and shaking my head every once and a while with how realistic it is.

That's astonishingly realistic. There's something slightly off about the tyres- maybe some form of object motion blur that's tripping my CGI alarm, but the rest of the image could pass for reality imo.

havent played uncharted 4 as I have an xbox but that first screen shot of uncharted looks amazing but the other 2 screen shots don't look any better than tomb raider imo.
may look different In motion though.

for me Gears 4 is up there especialy in 4k and from what I have seen in screen shots I would say the new gran turismo looks stunning to

That 1st UC4 pic is a cutscene.

Im sure people will claim that the cutscene visuals are the same as the gameplay in UC4, but the chracter models look inferior.

This is not exclusive to UC4 most in game models take a hit in visuals compared to there cutscene visuals.

Gorgeous game with awful performance.

I played it on a 4k HDR screen and spent 5 hours before giving up solely because of performance on the PS4Pro.

You can apply photo mode to the gameplay in The Order too. I really wish every game with a photomode let you apply and lock the effects to gameplay too. UC4 could use a little sharpening and contrast.

That screenshot looks really blurry for some reason for me. The character on the screen seems blurry/pixelated, and so does the mountains in the background.

For me, I'd say Assassin's Creed: Origins. That game is just a graphical masterpiece.

The order 1886 manages to combine realism with great artdirection in an unparallelled way imo. Not the most interesting or personal artstyle maybe (personally I prefer stuff like the last guardian) but to me the most impressive graphical showcase to date, overall.

The games mentioned above are at the top of graphics list on Vanilla PS4, no rez boost needed on PRO to make that conclusion....

This thread got bumped because of Gears on X, but then if Gears was not top 5 on XBOX ONE-S, I don't see how it deserves a mention because of a rez bump. People also forget that this game could be played on a PC at 4k all this time too, with the highest settings at that......We're not talking which game has the highest rez or sharpest IQ, we're talking which has the best graphics essentially....

Even low-budget game like ABZU is no less impressive than top AAA game Unch4. So I can't decide which game has better visual: cuphead/abzu/planet coaster or horizon ZD and other 100+ games. 10-years ago it was much easier: Crysis 1

I don't actually own the game but I have played a friend's copy for a short while and I would say that it's probably the best looking Xbox One x game for me by a long way. It just seems to produce an incredibly clean image and even compared to Forza 7 on the X, everything just seems to be so sharp and solid.

I have moaned about it before but the shimmering on the X version of Forza 7 really stands out when I play it and the difference between the two games could well be because of that which give the image quality far more integrity.

Alien Isolation

Funny cause i actually thought of Alien Isolation for a sec when seeing this thread.


I just beat it on the X and man it did look gorgeous, even without being enhanced. The X with it's supersampling just makes these games look that much better, and I'll be honest, i didn't expect as much of a difference as there is with the supersampling, but Alien is a great looking game regardless so that always helps.

I wonder what the difference between the base and pro version for god of war will be?

My guess is 1080p 30fps locked on the base

And 4kcb 30fps locked on pro
Maybe a 1080p up to 60fps mode aswell.

I have faith it will be another excellent pro upgrade.

Tomb Raider seems to impress me the more i progress. It's goddamn beautiful in some segments.

Just chatted with my bro about this. My brother who owns EVERYTHING and EVERY GAME known to man, with his OLED TV and 1080gtx,One X, PS4 Pro, ect, said Rise of the Tomb Raider on the X gets his vote. He did say Star Wars Battle Front 2 on One X maybe the best overall, he is in middle of playing it!
