A new console generation stretches ahead of us full of potentially amazing new games, but if you could pluck just one of them from the future and play it today, which would you choose?

Many games have already been announced (God of War Ragnarok, new Mass Effect, FF XVI), some are unannounced but almost certain (GTA VI) and of course you can always just speculate (Fallout 5? No Man's Sky 2? The next Mario game? Knack 3???)

Personally I'm most eager to play the next Elder Scrolls entry. It's been nearly ten years since Skyrim!

Probably BoTW2 despite having a PS5 and RTX3090. I really enjoy playing the Zelda games with/for my 4.5 year old even though his mom gets pissed. Next on the list would be GoW on PS5. Basically 2 big games I optimistically expect to play later this year while pessimistically thinking delay.

final fantasy 16 I guess, I'm interested to see how it turns out. I don't really anticipate future games, instead I look forward to finishing the game I'm on and then getting to choose something else from my backlog.

I'd love to have more ps1 and ps2 jrpgs simply updated to 1080p and sold for $20 or so on switch, steam, or ps4. Shadow hearts would be awesome. With the switch being big in japan I can see alot of older playstation games being ported to it, they may only sell 50,000 copies but one of them will be to me.

I'm with you OP. There are many RPGs out there and even if they're usually buggy, Bethesda's games are extremely unquie. It's been so long already since Skyrim. I want that new TES. Or at least Starfield. Just something. How can this studio even survive with non-existing output for years?
