First off, there are no zombie games like the game presented here unless of course you can produce a name. L4D, Dead Island, none of the more serious seem to be the same. Second, what's your opinion of pokemon?

I don't think we'll hear anything today besides a few tweets from the likes of Geoff to say how amazing it is.

You mean the Headcrab Zombies? I'm pretty sure most people call them zombies, but yeah, I bet you won't see too many people complaining about more zombies in games when Half-Life 3 eventually gets announced.

Well I'd consider a spoiler something that prevents you from enjoying most or all of the story/game, but since this happens right at the start you can still fully enjoy the rest of the game.

You never heard the term headcrab-zombie? The necromorphs have a specific name, which is why people don't call them zombies. But they are still in the zombie family tree.

Once we know the name of these fungi zombies, maybe that's what people will call them instead.

It's more of a nice surprise that I'm sure every fan of the series appreciated. I would've been pissed if somebody spoiled that to me before experiencing it.

Spoiler or not (in your understanding) it is something that should be experienced without knowledge of it. IMO.

The bullet scavenging scene in the trailer makes me think it will have a strong survival mechanic. I really hope that this is true, and the game doesn't end up being Uncharted with zombies.

Maybe shroomheads, but that sounds like a drug reference. Shroomies is too cute. The "ers" ending would be better because it makes it more like a racial slur, or a term meant to denigrate them. They'll probably stay away from Toads because of the Nintendo affiliation and because I think Toadstool is probably not the most common word for a mushroom.

There should be a naming contest. Or a betting pool.

Well, it's pretty apparent that this game uses the same engine as Uncharted. I'm also hoping for a game that is different than Uncharted but there will be similarities. With the survival elements and hopefully an emphasis on co-op, it should separate from Uncharted. I also think (just a guess here) that it will be third person with some shooting elements being in first person. Crossing fingers on stronger puzzle elements and the use of the PS Move.

Stick to the M rating please, Sony!

I don't understand how people get away with saying Uncharted combat is shit. I've played plenty of fps and tps, and it never seemed flawed to me. Plenty of games have much weaker shooting (h/t Deus Ex, Mass Effect) with little complaint.

I agree, I've never understood the combat complaints. Gears and Uncharted are in their own league when it comes to TPS combat/controls.

Truth is I think that the game would still be awesome if it was just Uncharted with zombies. But I dont think thats how ND will approach this. I just dont think ND would have done a new IP unless they thought they can bring something to the the genre, something we havent seen done as well before.
