nah, the DSi one is the worst. My favorite is Twisted.
Snapped is the worst. This isn't even a debate. This is fact.
DIY needs a 3DS version with Spotpass and Streetpass support.

fuck warioware give me more rhythm heaven
Because of all the negativity surrounding Sakamoto's name and Other M he has refused to get his team to make another one after the Wii version. No more Rhythm Heaven FOREVER.
Ah, but I just loaded up a newish GBA emulator today as a test and was surprised that all games I threw at it ran at 100% speed with v-sync and no frame skipping. I tried several of the games available on 3DS as well as Sonic Advance and Mario Advance 1 and 2. The second stage of Sonic Advance used to require heavy frame skipping due to the transparency, for instance, but it now works perfectly. The emulation is better than any PC emulator I've used even as the sound is perfectly in sync. It's really good now and definitely NOT choppy emulation.Lack of sleep mode makes them useless?? Stop being such a drama queen. Also the PSP emulator has to use frame skipping in order to achieve full speed in most games (if you disable it then you get fairly significant slowdown). Pretty sad that you would prefer choppy emulation to games running exactly how they ran on original hardware.
I know what you mean and you're kind of right. I'm just disappointed more than anything else. When someone gives you a free ice cream cone are you going to complain that there's no sprinkles?

This analogy is ridiculous.
For Fucks Sake, the 3DS creens are far better than the DS Lite's! They have better color reproduction, better view angles, less ghosting and don't have interlacing artifacts. The VC games using motion blur even in 1:1 mode.
WarioWare is a really fun series of games. I have all of them except for Mega Party Games (the Gamecube version of the original) and the WarioWare: DIY Showcase (on Wii). My favorite is WarioWare Touched!, but probably because it was my first. Many people think that one's the worst, but I just like the touch controls.
I'd be really surprised if there aren't games slated for 3DS and Wii U. 3D is a decent enough gimmick, and so is the tablet controller.
BTW, it's worth doing a test to see how long the battery lasts while playing the GBA games. Unlike the other VC games, they aren't emulated and thus use far less CPU than even DS games.
Last night I played Sacred Stones for 90 minutes at 3 Brightness. Battery started out full and didn't go down a single level during play.
The emulator needs fixing. That's the issue. The games are rendered at a very low brightness level WITH additional ghosting in effect. I have no clue WHY they thought this would be a good idea as a GB Micro and DS Lite are both much better looking, as you say. The 3DS screen can be much brighter than what you see when running GBA games and the ghosting is intentionally cranked up. I cannot understand why they sabotage the image quality in such a fashion. Trying to capture the look of a GBAsp? Bad idea. That may be the case, but I fired up Wario Ware on the 3DS and the actual physical cartridge on my DS Lite and ran the attract mode side by side.
Then I did the same thing with my Gameboy Micro.
GBA games look better on a DS Lite or a Micro than on the 3DS. Richer colors, brighter, and more contrast.
If the 3DS screen is truly better, the emulator needs fixing. It sucks for visual quality, scaled or unscaled.
OMG, you fake secret jerks still exist? That takes me back.I remember posting a joke on a forum years ago that getting a score of 999 in any minigame in Wario Ware would unlock a minigame called Super Wario World accompanied with a set of photoshopped screenshots that combined SML3:WL sprites with SMW backgrounds.
Amazingly people believed this.
Strange the dimming/ghosting wasn't a L+R+Y option similar to the green screen mode for Gameboy games. It will be irritating if they don't add this in later. Unfortunately, while I've typically had a high tolerance for upscaling (w/ filtering) or other screen imperfections, I still find the 3DS d-pad + buttons to be the major road block here. I already owned all these games, so playing them on the GBA SP (AGS-101) or PSP is really the only option for comfortable play.So you don't think anyone is entitled to complain about these? How strange.
You think we should just accept it then?
I suppose it's nice that they gave us something, but it would have been a lot nicer if the games were more usable and didn't look awful on the 3DS screen. Intentionally dimming and blurring (ghosting) the images was not a smart move.
PSP is really the only option for comfortable play.
Ok, I will bite. I know you disapprove, and it is the most defensible position to be sure, but do you really expect everyone to care that Nintendo doesn't want them using software they legitimately own on unlicensed hardware? Owning the hardware too (three of them), and therefore the bios makes it even more difficult for me to not see this as a risk worth calculating. It isn't exactly something I'm willing to tolerate a full-blown scolding over. I do agree with you that it isn't right, there is no question, I just don't subscribe to your rather binary approach.Wait, when did Sony release a GBA cart attachment?
And yet they can't release a UMD attachment. SMH.

So I'm definitely enjoying Metroid Fusion more than I've enjoyed any other Metroid. Metroid games have never done it for me, but Fusion is linear enough that I haven't yet ended up wandering around trying to figure out what to do next.
I'd never have bought this game to see if this would be the one Metroid game that clicks for me, so I'm glad I got it for free.
While I do prefer the less linear Super Metroid (I miss the scanning visor), I think the SA-X hunting Samus in Fusion is just the coolest enemy dynamic they've come up with in the series. Did you play the Prime series? They point you in the general direction on the map similar to the way Fusion does it.So I'm definitely enjoying Metroid Fusion more than I've enjoyed any other Metroid. yeahrightYup, and just wait for E3 when they announce a new 2D Metroid for the 3DS.

is that the water place?
Tropical place or something. "TRO"
Not sure where you are, but if you can see the door with the eye, that's where you need to break into, be it from above or whatever
You'd be better off telling us where you are in the story, since you revisit areas all the time in fusion.
Wait, when did Sony release a GBA cart attachment?

They were supposed to update them? With what?
It seems the Japanese eShop asked me to update the system and is now indeed offering a re-download of the Zelda, right after opening the eShop app.

I'm not sure why you keep harping on this point. If I own the original cart and have an "ambassador" status I have rights to the game. Playing a rom on my PSP is hardly an issue in that case. I'm just looking for the best way to play as I'm out of the country at the moment and portable games are my only option for gaming.
A full manual and a single "save state" function (like the Game Boy VC titles).
With the official sale of an NES game on the 3DS, Nintendo has officially 'crossed the streams' -- there will now be a fully legitimate reason to complain about buying a title on the Wii VC if you are expected to purchase it -again- on the 3DS.
I hope it jumps the divide.
I'd chuck a fit if I couldn't access my Steam games from any damn computer I pleased.
Once Nintendo starts releasing titles on both, there is an expectation that you'll be able to play the game on either -- it builds confusion if you can't. The easier thing to do would have simply been to avoid releasing the same title on both platforms, and to keep the console titles exclusive to home systems and portables to the portable systems, but...
If the products they delivered were better I wouldn't need to resort to these sketchy alternatives. Still, I feel it is decidedly less sketchy when you own multiple versions of a game.Because while you can debate about the legality of emulators and roms all day long but I think the whole thing is sketchy as hell.
If the products they delivered were better I wouldn't need to resort to these sketchy alternatives.
Which I kind of wish they would have done.
But I guess they figure there's money to be made so why not.
I really think people should stop expecting any sort of content migration from the Wii and instead start placing their hopes on the Wii U. The Wii is one big security hole, it's a lost cause.
While what you're saying is true, it's also true that there is a complete record of your Wii purchases on Nintendo's servers, and it would be fairly trivial to enable some system -similar- to the DSi -> 3DS transfer, with all game rights being assigned to the Wii U, system tickets deleted from the Wii, and the Wii system being "wiped."
Yes, folks could always go and reinstall the stuff on the Wii using illegitimate means -- but folks can do that NOW. Piracy on the Wii doesn't change Nintendo's purchase records, and there is little reason to suspect that there will be "no content migration" from the Wii to Wii U.
