Oooh that's the game that was on sale on steam the other day right? How is it?

That it is! It's pretty fun, especially in bursts. It is most definitely a B-shooter, so I would recommend it if you're into that kind of thing.

I really like the washed out look of Skyrim, oddly, given that I'm normally all over stronger colours. I guess I like how it fits the look of the game, especially for a snowy, dreary Nordic setting.

I'm still tweaking so this shot is far from amazing, but eh. Game looks dope.

Cracked open my sealed copy of SS and ripped it for Dolphin.

How's good does SS run on Dolphin?

From what I can see the only advantage I'm seeing is an increase in the resolution and AA, what else can it do?

By the way, my specs are :

AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.1ghz
6GB of ram
ATi 6970

How well do you think Dolphin would run with those kind of specs?

Still running with performance AO? What's your fps like?

Performance AO, with 8x Transparency Supersampling, and 4x Multisampling. uGrids are cranked to pretty high settings as per the tweak thread, and all the bells and whistles are turned on/tweaked. Performance flutters between 30 - 45fps, which is kind of eh I guess, but given it never dips below 30 and the IQ is good I'm sticking with it. It's around 30/35fps in densely packed outdoor areas like in these shots, but in less hardware stressful situations its usually ~45fps.

I love SSAO way too much to get rid of it.

I used downsampling in Titan Quest. Looks awesome, but the menus are very very small. Anything you can do about thaT?

As you know Dolphin is processor intensive, I'm on a 2500k @ 4.5GHz so I can't really comment on how it would run on lower end processors.

In that screenshot I'm just using 4x internal resolution and no AA, it is rock stable for me.

Another benefit is Gecko codes which add the ability for text to instantly appear.

The only quirk with Skyward Sword is its DoF filter which doesn't play nice with modern builds of Dolphin. http://www.secondapps.com/neogaf/showpost.php?p=32829468&postcount=5932

You mean that's the only advantage you see over playing it on the Wii? It's literally unplayable on the Wii for me after playing it in Dolphin.

I'm really enjoying the look of the game too. Shame the monster designs aren't all that great.
It feels like it's lacking something.

Yep, art isnt the strongest point of a game, still i love details they put into environments like for example all the bugs flying or walking around or leafs moving with a wind. Spell effect shaders looks also amazing sometimes [like freeze or fire]

Odd... I use Skyboost + Ugrids= 7 + 8x MSAA/Transparency AA with Quality AO and I get like 50-60 FPS everywhere. Should try SGSSAA instead of TrSSAA.

Shogun 2.. God, this game looks gorgeous. Just trying out the tutorial since I'm new to the series and it is such a visual treat.

What do you mean? Did you mean that downsampling was causing your menus to become really small or that they're small in general?

If it was the first then I was saying that forcing SSAA, or most other types of AA seems to work fine, although if you meant the latter, then I don't really know how to make the default menus larger, I haven't had any problems with them being too small.
