Interesting about SRWZ2-2. I still need to finish Z1 and Z2-1. They better use the Gurren Lagann second movie stuff. Sweet jesus, that would be epic.

They had a ton of secret members, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was part of that. It's curious that he's been doing lots of stuff for imageepoch. Maybe they just have a good partnership.

They're also moving the UC Gundam story towards Char's Counterattack (I have no idea how they're doing this based on the events of Z2 but yeah). No Endless Waltz and they're doing all of Macross 7.

Yeah, but splitting up Z2 into 2 years just delayed Z3 (aka, the next NEW SERIES licensed srw) another year, as well as doubling the cost to purchase (7300yen jesus) and making Z2-1 a worse game with almost no unit upgrades and a slower drawn out story.
Basically if Z2 had been singular, it'd be an amazing entry with all these series. But splitting it apart was lame and possibly a marketing inspired scamco tactic.
Oh well, that ship has long past sailed and at least Z2-2 will be 10x better than Z2-1 since it will at least have conclusions to the shows and not just be half a show like Z2-1.
To be fair, they had a couple of series that had Season 2's so they technically did finish the storylines for the particular season appearing in Z2 (namely Geass and 00).

Though they can argue they used the movie versions of Mac F & Gurren which were split into 2 parts.Really hyped for the new Imageepoch PS3 RPG. I loved Arc Rise Fantasia and I've been looking forward to a new console RPG from them (in HD this time!)

They don't have to argue it. I think they're actually listed under the movie names just like Eureka 7
And Wing, Getter and Mazinger are so played out in SRW that they probably didn't feel the need to do any of their stories. I mean, they even made the Wing boys side characters in the Area 11 storyline!

We always knew it would be for PSP. They established that way back before Z2-1 had been released.
You shut your mouth. Shin Mazinger's new plotline deserves all the attention it gets, and Getter Robo Armageddon is the bestest Getter Robo.

His best work is Maximum Tune. My god is that some great trance music.
I don't think anything will at this point. The only series which had an increase in popularity in terms of sales is the niche jrpgs from gust and the Tales of series.
Still, gonna take whatever I can get before the day jrpgs other than FF and DQ do eventually die out.

Great score for Resident Evil. I've been cautiously optimistic since the game was announced, so I'm pretty happy it might actually be a quality effort.
I can't name one imageepoch RPG that I enjoyed, so the new PS3 game means nothing to me
Fate/Extra was enjoyable enough. Certainly innovative.
They're putting in a good effort. I'll give that BlackRockShooter game a try whenever it comes out here.
(How long will the US version take, anyway?)

So, Third Person Shooter and SRPG/Sim combo? Anime-styled in all areas, from field movement to battle (sounds like exploration and battles take place on the same field)? Sounds like Resonance Of Fate to me, rather than something like Valkyria Chronicles.
But it's ImageEpoch, so I have very little hope for it to be any good, though at least the music will be. Yuzo-samaaaaa~~~~~

Thanks for this. I always listened to the videos because the mix was awesome, but I always wanted the mix without the noise.

Really really pissed about not fucking ZZ or Grendizer.
Beyond that weird they are actually going to try play out Wing. I don't agree that they really sidelined Wing in Z1 so much as they clearly wanted the majority of Wing and it's second suits to play out with other series second halves.
If anything Wing was the one series that should have been saved for Z2-2 instead of having it in Z2-1.
Beyond all three the new series are complete garbage for me. Really bored of the "New" additions in both Z2 games, Gurren doesn't do anything for me and Getter Arm is the single worst getter so Im hoping Z3 actually has some really good new stuff or brings in the great Getter/Zinger stuff to carry it.

I'm listening to the PC-88 version of the first track you posted and I don't even understand how it's possible but I'm getting swept up in nostalgia for a system I never actually owned.
That Eye of the Beholder Dungeon theme is also my jam. Please continue Koshiro spamming everyone, let's save this thread from score discussion.
Many of the songs from EO2 in particular give me pangs of nostalgia for Brandish games on PC-98. Especially Woodland of Frozen Flowers. I wish I could link to some of the music I'm talking about, but nobody puts that stuff up on YouTube. (._. )
EDIT: Here's something I doubt anybody but me would ever link: Misty Blue soundtrack, something a bit different for Koshiro. Super Adventure Island for SNES kind of used a similar style though. EDIT: Oh, I see Schala actually included one. I'm impressed!
Good stuff Aeana, good stuff. No idea why I like this sound so much. It just seems super specific to a particular time and era, haha maybe I just love the foreignness.

I think Hold Me Tonight, Dancing Heart and Theme of Enix Quest are fantastic.
I believe the only thing available at the time was that 3-song disc, until they released the album in 2007. I haven't played the game, but the music is too good.
I don't see anything about Tokitowa being a third person shooter or a simulation game. It looks like a decent budget HD RPG which is super celshaded and looks like a hand drawn anime. Art looks pretty attractive, but knowing Imageepoch it will be safer to judge once we have a video, because their weakest element in the past is in 3D character animation. If they've improved on that, it could look pretty good.
