i'm surprised how much i'm enjoying uncharted. i've only played for like 5 minutes but it feels great. a couple of the touch/gyro controls actually work better than the traditional uncharted controls ha. the game looks fantastic as well.

Japan had a ton of demos upon the Vita's initial release. For a significant number of retail titles.
North America doesn't need demos because we'll buy stuff sight unseen based on Metacritic scores and that awesome marketing campaign.
Hehe, i'm sure that demos will follow in USA and Europe as well :) I guess that we will see more next week when the official launch is complete.

I bought it. After getting a dock with the 3DS I really think they are essential. I like just dumping a system on the dock after coming home from work.

I was all this is a POS about the dock until I actually used it. Now im pro dock and will be looking to get this one. My question is if its as forgiving as the 3ds dock.. I could toss my 3ds from across the room and it just plops in and charges. Is it like that or is it like them shitty ipod docks where you have to get it just right and then push down etc.

Nintendo added extra copper connectors to the 3DS so the docking would be easy - it doesn't use the same connector as the base adapter would. I can't see Sony being so thoughtful.

Yeah, we're just talking about the cradle or extra chargers.

If using a cradle as an extra charger, it'll cost $50.

Cradle is $20
AC Adapter is $15
USB Cable is $15

It's quite expensive.

It's pretty insane. I bought an extra AC adaptor and cradle for my 3DS, and it cost me like $9 total. $4 for the cradle and $5 for the AC adapter. Both official Nintendo parts too, and not third party.

My Vita is still on Shipping Soon. Hope it doesn't get here a day late which usually happens to me when it's still on this status this late. :(

It looks like you'll have to push it down like an iOS connector. I doubt you can throw your Vita from halfway across the room and land it nicely.

The good thing is it has line out and allows you to play video/music upright while charging. Other than that, it's just a hunk of plastic. ^_^

Yes, but 3DS was intended to sell at a good profit.

Yeah, they always have cheap extra parts.

Part of it is because they're not sold at retail so they don't have to work with retail or produce special packaging.

yeah not exactly feeling that. I despise my ipod dock and hesitate using it cause it always feels awkward and I feel like im going to snap a pin. Guess ill see if somewhere got one i can try real quick (like a used one at gamestop or something) but if I notice any blind resistance or it feels awkward ill skip....Gotta give Ninty credit on that one, their cradle is a must for me now.

Actually Nintendo sells it now at retail. I saw one at Target the other day. You get the cradle and AC adapter for $14.99.

Tomorrow's school day is going to be long, especially the three hour graphic design class. orz

I kind of wish I would have gotten the FEB through Gamestop since they seem to be having a midnight launch. Oh well. It's almost here.

My "Release Date Delivery" of Lumines from Amazon.com shipped late and I won't be getting it until tomorrow :( I had my FEB shipped to my office, but the game shipped to my house. Now I have to wait until after work to play it. Oh well, at least I'll have Little Deviants, Hot Shots Golf, and Wipeout in the meantime :)

Quick, DoctorWho, keep posting so your highest post count isn't in jeopardy. Here comes Wario making a furious comeback!

Amazon changed Ridge Racer to June 30 wtf.

Just caved in and ordered one.

As someone who buys a lot of Japanese games, my big question is: how does the machine handle the O/X confirm/cancel dilemma across regions? My biggest annoyance with playing JP games on a US PS3 is how the UI will always force X to confirm even if you're playing a JP game and it expects O.

Please tell me the vita does things more gracefully.

Picking up my Vita tomorrow morning at Bestbuy. Can't seem to find any definitive information online -- is it possible to transfer PSP saves to the Vita (and if so, how)? I still play Persona 3 from time to time, and don't want to have to carry both my Vita and Go around.

Anyone know the chances of walking into a best buy and picking up an FEB tomorrow? (any employees?)

Just got an email from Reward Zone for 10% off one item.. that + Gamestop Trade-In on Little Deviants may push me over the edge.

Doesn't the PSP use the Asian XO setup when playing Asian titles? That's what I remember happening when playing SRW on PSP. No idea how it is on the Vita though.

It's funny how Sony picked a generic, well-populated hashtag to put in all of their commercials.

Just looking through #gamechanger tweets, it's a mixbag of mostly people talking about their lives or the occasional Vita tweet. Something more fitting would have been #psvita or #vita. Just a strange choice.

I can also say that I would never tweet something like:

Just picked up my PSVita, can't wait to play it!11!!1 #gamechanger

I just think there are more appropriate options.

Doesn't look like that 10% coupon will work on Vita. At least the one I got won't.

Man, I still have to wait a week or two for my Vita, this thread will become incredibly painful from tomorrow and onwards, but I can't see to sway away from this thread.
