How do you bring up the digital game manual and change the scaling settings on PSP games?

For the settings in PSP...touch the screen.
The manual should pop when you hit a game's icon. It doesn't go to the game right away, but brings up another screen with "start" and stuff. The manual icon should be toward the top of the screen.

Does anyone have a good source for cooperative multiplayer psp games compatable with ad hoc party or with an infAstructure mode?

I know of Pixel Junk monsters and monster hunter. Any others?

So how does Near work? I have it turned on, but I'm not sure how to "search" for other Vita users. I'd like to be able to find and friend others in my area.

Little Deviants has a $10.00 trade in value, btw. While not generous, it's still better than being stuck with the "game."

PSP games are transferable from EU PSN accounts - just transferred 10 games across. Patapon 3 was the only one that didn't work, and I'm redownloading now to double check. Maybe because it has the online pass stuff, needs different treatment?

Can you explain a bit. Is your account US and can transfer EU account games? Or your account is EU in the first place?

Once you get past the tutorials (which are exceedingly long) Uncharted GA becomes much, much more fun.

It really does hit home with the "Uncharted in the palm of your hands" feel, and if it remains this fun with the touch inputs, great visuals (despite sub-res), and many side paths for treasure hunting, it will be worth the $50 for me.

I have to say that Uncharted: Golden Abyss is simply not worth $49.99. Honestly, I don't think it's worth $29.99. Having played U2 and U3, this little adventure doesn't add up to much. The critics who compared it to a made for TV movie are spot on.

Seems a lot of people are comparing to UC2 and UC3 but are forgetting where UC roots came from. Is the first game really that forgettable?

I for one am looking forward to this one if it's toned back somewhat, plus some of the puzzles and 'Black Market' Near feature. Come to me Nate, I am waiting!

Definitely MGS Peace Walker over adhoc party. BTW, is it true adhoc party is built right into the Vita? I heard this on 8-4Play before launch. Can you play adhoc PSP games online using the Vita alone?

Also you can play the whole Killzone Liberation campaign in coop (adhoc) after a free patch. Unfortunately, the game isn't on the store. But I used to play this with a friend and it's really cool.

Stupidly didn't preorder, and now I have an urge to buy a vita. Anyone know if anyplace is selling the FEB to non-preorders at a reasonable price in NYC?

Ah, that's good to hear. At least the dry one is better in terms of installation. LiquidMetal, since you have the machine and the protector do you think it's worth getting a case for PSV? I plan on either getting a silicon case or a carrying case for my PSV.

Sorry for delay, was on the horn with AT&T. Yes, I highly recommend a case. Even if it never leaves the house. Keep that valuable piece of kit protected. The FEB case is great.

Did you like Drakes Fortune though, cuz if you don't its kinda expected why you would not like this one.

Our prices in NZ are the killer, 3G is $548NZD for Recommended Price ($458USD) but we're getting some alright bundles. For the same retail price I get Uncharted for free, Pre Order pack with headphones, $10NZD PSN voucher, free Sim Card (+Free Wipeout when topped up) and a 4gb mem stick. Sure the 4gb is useless in the long run but ideal for a few small PSN games and some game saves.

But then NZ has always had the highest prices in the world for electronics. Lack of population = less demand plus being a country way out of the way the shipping is higher too.

The bundles make it less painful, here in México the "Limited edition bundle" is $470USD and includes everything the FEB bundle includes but with Modnation racers instead of Little deviants and also an extra little bag which is big enough to carry my iPad, so not so bad compared to other console launches here.

Amazon trade in finally processed.

Just snagged Rayman Origins, Wipeout, a Hori protector, and a Vita case for $8.91. Fixed my Vita order to arrive on the 22nd, and Uncharted is arriving today. Bought 3 PSP titles on PSN this morning. I'm so ready...

Yeah, I think I'll pay for the 3 year warranty.
You never know with systems now. (rip launch ps3)
My PSN friends list is already at 99 friends. I wish Sony ups the limit to 200 or more for Vita.
Yeah, I was maxed out, and deleted a few people the last couple of weeks.
Not enough to get a lot of Vita friends though. Ah well.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
So i`ll get my Vita like most PAL users next week - what do i have to do at the beginning to not screw up my system with the system activation ? I read that you have first to cancel the first login, update the system then login with you psn account data.

So whats the right order to not screw up first impressions with my Vita?

decided to pick up a wifi only next week. strange that the game im most excited about is tactics ogre lol

For the time being, yeah, I'll mostly be playing all those PSP classics I missed out on since I never owned a PSP :) Can't wait to see how they look on the beautiful Vita screen. Tactics Ogre is definitely on my short list.

Glad to see the glowing remarks about the vita.
Can't wait to pick mine up on the 22nd in the UK.
Would love to see some pics of members vitas.
I wish they would hurry with the metal gear for vita as it's the only reason why I won't buy the HD version for PS3.

Wifi preorderers, don't be hasty buying games early, wait until Target does their sale on the 19th, they are offering a B2G1 on all vita games.

Is their no way to watch youtube videos on this thing yet?

OT: What do the FEB adopters think about the case? I can barely fit that thing in my pockets!

Was the battery really low? Seems the Vita likes to have a good amount of battery charged or it won't even turn the screen on. Commonly cited issue.

Nope. Literally just turned it on about 60 minutes ago. I played 9 holes on Hot Shots, put it to sleep for the trip back to work, and tried to show some guy at the office. The light is blue, but nothing is responding.

Hold it down for 3+ secs?

Hold that power button for at least 2 mins (real minutes). I remember one guy doing that in the Japan launch thread.

I have a feeling this will happen to me as well sometime.

If you hold the power button down for 30 seconds, that should reboot the Vita.

with my first child due on March 21st I may need a Vita to keep me sane during the late nights.

hmmmm

what say you gaf?

As someone who has a 10 month old, you won't use it during the late nights. It'll be great to have in a pinch, and to have on hand for random down times and not wanting to turn on the main setup, but if you're up late at night, you're likely not going to have two hands free to play it. My personal savior was my phone to be honest. Holding the baby in one hand, while using the other hand to browse the web and other stuff was what kept me sane during the late nights. You'll find at most you'll have one hand free during those hours.

This.

Even tho i already picked up HSG & Marvel 3, im gonna take advantage of this deal on my birthday. Blazblue, Uncharted & and that puzzle game will be mine...

Insane For Sony
Great news for Canadians: Future Shop is selling First Edition Bundle, no questions asked, no preorder needed. I just brought it to cashier in the front, and paid for it. It was really as simple as that. This came after the Best Buy sales guy went in detail over the phone how and why they can't sell it to me yet, so I'm surprised it worked in FS, considering they're really the same company now.

Also, on the receipt I have a note that I have $20 off any game (any platform, not just Vita) priced 29.99 or over, so the bundle is really a pretty damn good deal after all.

Now, how do I redeem the free SuperStardust, or is that for US only?
