Gotta say, having actually had my hands on one, PSP games look pretty good on it, love the color space, but I did a side by side with a PSP-3000, and I was not blown away.

Combined with my analog experience I did not come away with a feeling that the vita is the stupidly definitive PSP experience.

This is not a slam, it's still great, I just am not going to feel bad finishing my PSP backlog on the 3000. It is a gigantic leap over my 2 and 1000 though.

So I guess I'm like the only person on the internet who wants to delete specific saves and stuff like you can on the PS3/PSP. Google is useless. Like half the search results, it thinks I want to look for "Vista".

PSN is extra slow today (understandable though) getting SSD and Escape Plan.

Still have wipEout and Virtua Tennis coming... way too much money spent :(

I really wish they were selling a larger memory card at a reasonable price. That's mainly preventing me from taking the plunge at the moment.

Hey, the initial shipment of games they made available this week, was it pretty small? I went to a Walmart today, and they were practically sold out of all their Vita games, they only had like, 2 copies of Lumines and 3 copies of FIFA left.

Best Buy didn't have any systems, just games and accessories, so I guess I'm safe for now. Thought about just buying HSG but I still need to see a Vita in person first and do some more research.

Hot Shots, that tennis game demo'd by crazy white gloves guy, and probably Uncharted... maybe. Still not sold on Uncharted.

I might buy four games and get two free, just to avoid having to make tough choices.

Hmm, so I can't get it to charge through USB on my MacBook or PS3 - but the AC adapter works.
As far as I can tell the USB charge option is enabled on the device, assuming that option is "USB Power Supply"

Oh, also, some dire news. I had decided last night that I was just going to wait for the 3G launch bundle since Walmart didn't have any FEBs. Well, I've been reading this stupid thread throughout the day on breaks and stuff and I just ordered the FEB off Amazon. :(

It's coming Friday. :( :) :( :)

I don't know how to feel. Disappointed in myself, but oh so excited at the same time.

Yep, already have Hot Shots. :) That was the one game I got at launch. I'd want either Rayman or Uncharted as the third game in this deal. Virtua Tennis looks good, but 1 sports game is enough for me for a while. I want variety.

Gravity Daze...if only.

edit: Is the screen not supposed to shut off when I'm downloading something? It's been on for 10 minutes now while Rayman is in the download queue.

There is no better feeling in the world than playing the beautiful Wipeout 2048 listening to my custom music and switching between 3 others applications (chatting with friends etc). This thing really is incredible.

Just uncharted for me and the Vita next week. Im spending my money on the top rated PSP games on the cheap! I will wait for the first round of reviews form real gamers, and trade in's before I pay $40+ for a vita game.. Uncharted was the one exception!

Tactics Orge, GTA, Jeanne Dearc and more await me next week!

guy above stick with Patapon and Power Stone, maybe grab Jax and dexter as well and some Monster Hunter for a full plate of awesome sauce.

I gotta say the case that came with the FEB was FUNKY! Had to give that thing a good scrub down with a wash cloth, but it's all good now lol

How accurate is Best Buy's online store pickup inventory system? It says zero stores in Manhattan have this dumb thing to pick up right now. I kind of want to get one tomorrow...

Hell yes. I left it outside for 4 hours hoping it would air out. That helped somewhat, but it's still noticeable. oy.

If manhattan is anything like Portland than that is probably pretty accurate. Had to call all over town to find one GameStop that had an extra one available. Your best bet is to call around before you head out though

First game I have played on the Vita... Super Stardust Delta.

Not only does this game look utterly gorgeous (dat OLED!)... it has a buttery smooth frame rate, looks like the PS3 version and controls like an absolute dream. I officially love this system, because I can take a perfect version of Super Stardust with me wherever I go.

I am just blown away right now. This machine is absolutely stunning.

not to mention the PSP games I picked up in the last week or so. The Patapon/Loco Roco pack is a steal at $14.99 and Loco Roco especially is pure joy condensed into video game form. The soundtrack is so catchy! If you've never played those two games before I urge you to take the $15 chance because they are unique and will make you smile several times!

Are you sure it's not charging? I think read somewhere that when plugged in via USB, the battery won't display the charge icon even though it's actually charging.

Am i the only one on edge with the Vita's chances for success? I want the Vita to do well , I don't want Smartphones and Tablets to be the future of mobile gaming.

Well I just recommended Patapon/Loco Roco in a previous post so I won't go over that again. They should definitely be on your list. DJMax is awesome but tough as nails. I love the game but suck badly at it. Definitely worth $20 though and I can't wait to see the one that's actually built for the Vita to come out. Those 2 would be $35 together so you could still add God's Eater and still be under your $60 and have a ton of quality PSP gaming content to play with.

I don't think it can charge when the device is on through USB. Only when it is off.

So I don't even own a Vita yet, but I've already bought more games for it than I did the full year I owned a PSP.
