I think back around e3 a Sony rep said they were selling it for either a small loss or at cost, I can't remember which. Either way, it's much more responsible then they did with the PS3.
I'd say both are about equally as pathetic actually.

i wanna say i remember this too, i hope that's the case. OLED and all had me thinking it might not be, but you're right, they're behaving a lot more fiscally now, which is really good/healthier for everyone.

Slight point from personal observation, I knew lots of ps1 owners and not one of them ever bought a replacement whereas lots of ps2 owners did so, the ps2 was just a far more unreliable system (though still nowhere near as bad as the 360) which must have had an impact on overall system sales which I'm sure Sony are well aware of,
Cut sales mean nothing when it comes to corporations all that matters is money ps3 lost Sony a shit tonne vita isn't looking good and ps4 will probably launch late, are you so sure Sony ain't going anywhere?

Again yes PS3 lost money, but not to the point where Sony is on it's deathbed. And while I'm all for taking a jab here and there at a console's struggles, it's way too soon to write Vita off. So yes I'm positive based on current info that Sony isn't going anywhere.

Did snesfreak get banned for comments in this thread, pretty predictably saying things like that though. Anyway I want Sony and Nintendo to thrive. My fave games are japanese games and the more japanese success there is the more happy I am. But at the same time I want them to thrive in NA as well. Basically I'm saying what BG said, I want everyone to do well. Constant state of competition is best for gaming. Look what Sony managed to churn out because of where they were in the standings, a HUGE amount of quality 1st/2nd party titles. Look what Nintendo did for the 3DS as soon as it bomba'd. These are the things we need. Keep these companies on edge, having to constantly create content to win over customers.
I dislike Microsoft for various reasons, I've never hidden it, but I still am glad they are successful. It pushes other companies. I feel like Nintendo is feeling that heat right now, and it's the only way we're gonna get a GREAT launch + 1st year.

Sony is losing billions of dollars and unlike nintendo doesn't have a cash pile that would make scruge mcduck feel jealous so I wouldn't exactly say Sony isn't on its deathbed

All I know is when Fallout 4 comes out, I want the controller to be the Pip-Boy. Being able to change radio stations on the fly and manage equipment and check objectives and everything else. Match made in heaven.

When I get on a roll on why I dislike Microsoft or doubly so Sony I tend to go inflammitory whether I mean to or not. Otherwise, I'm usually able to put my biases aside and express them soley as pesonal preferences.

No we dont, but seeing as theyre supporting normal Wii Remotes, and theres already two iterations of that one, I cant see them making a third. Also Wii Remote Plus is fine as it is, they just need to make Motion Plus a requirement (also wont happen).

Sonic Dimensions
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing 2
Phantasy Star Online 2
Jet Grind Radio by Headstrong (were working on a Wii pitch but that never came to be)
Shining Force Gear (trademarked and leaked by an insider in JP to be Wii-bound by Neverland, but poof, it never even got an official mention)
Billy Hatcher 2 (nothing about this, I just adored the original and am ashamed at Sega for not making a Wii-sequel, the controls would work super well)
Sonic Riders 4 (I really liked Zero Gravity, and the original for its style and feel, but ZG was more polished, NOW PRO were behind the original but O-TWO took over afterwards, get them back for a Wii U entry)
And get the Colors team on NiGHTS 3! Tragic that JOD was obviously rushed...
The list goes on!
Yup, I'd definitely like to see Sega release a sequel to House of The Dead Overkill but can't see the controller being of much use there. Hopefully they'll be one of the few publishers that won't ignore the remote and nunchuck as a control scheme.
I've just bought it for the second time for the PS3 after I originally bought the Wii SKU the day it released. I love on-rails shooters!!!

Me too. I don't see why it couldn't be wireless. It could also use some of the Wiimotes functions. Along these grounds, were than any games that had one person use dual Wiimotes on the Wii? The cord in Wii boxing always annoyed me.
I'd also like to see a camera on the back of the Wii u's controller if two Wii u controllers become a reality. Image two people playing against one another in an AR type game using there own Wii u controller screens in 1st person view while other people in the room get a 3rd person view on the TV.
