You actually went train hopping? Living the dream, my man. What was it like? Did you run into any other train hoppers?

It was the shit, wonderful experience. I was lucky to have a buddy who's done it a few times show me the ropes. Ran into groups of crusty kids every now and then in the prime waiting spots or around the small towns, a few old-timers with solid advice, etc. Everyone's always really friendly and just happy to see a fellow traveler... there might be a few bad eggs and violents out there, but I didn't see em.

If anyone's a Pynchon fan, I did see W.A.S.T.E. written under an overpass by the tracks once, which was dope.
