I hope we see Lost Winds 3 and NyxQuest 2 on Wii U. Toki Tori was pretty fun ,but I'm not exactly jumping up and down for a sequel. Still, it's better than nothing!

Maybe toss in a photoshop of Samaritan Wii U boxart for good measure.

Already did this

Pachter just comes across as so very bitter...

gah. I think it's going to be very difficult for nintendo not to make money next gen. There's practically no way they wont be able to generate at least a 40 million Wii U installed base by the end of its life cycle (roughly 2x the GC's LTD). And in the end, I feel they're business savvy enough to walk out of the whole thing in the black. And whatever they do put in the Wii U, be it a monster package or a 360+, I know I'll be happy playing their games and whatever other unique experiences are to be found on the system. Worst case scenario, PC will fill whatever void there is in the Wii U library just like it did this gen.

That said, it would make me so happy if the Wii U blew the entire industry away come E3. Not just because it means better games and support in the long run. Not just because it would vindicate some of the more optimistic rumors out there. It's that it would be oh so satisfying to see smug, self satisfied haters put in their place.

never left the stone age
Completely ignoring the massive amount of money Nintendo has stashed away, or the fact that Nintendo's franchises are currently seeing massive sales.
I'll never get how he keeps his job.

I also like how he's wrong 99.9% of the time. Perhaps Pachter should just go against his gut feeling and say the opposite of what he really thinks.

The Gaming Industry is unpredictable. Nintendo even more. I just can't predict what will happen.

Only one thing is sure; I will buy the Wii U and I will enjoy Nintendo franchises with more graphical power and in glorious HD.

Amen to that cause so will I!

I just want to see what they can do with Mario in HD it's a given with Samus and Link, better lighting and shadows whatnot.

Me too. Hopefully the Wii U is in a different color other than white. :)

What are the odds that they will put Wii games in the Eshop for the WiiU so I can play them without lame motion controls?

While I'd love to play some previously motion control only games with the Wii U controls I think they are more likely to have the motion control use the Wii U "sensor bar".

This hype train has gotten bland and doesn't seem to be making any progress.

I've just heard it from a friend that Epic has UE3 & UE4 up and running on Wii U hardware.

His source works for a developer, one that I shall not name, but they do work on pretty much every system. So that alleviates any concerns that I didn't have over the Wii U power issue as far as I'm concerned.

I think it is possible that we will see a complete new console. Maybe in sexy black.

Yeah. For some reason I'm looking forward to metallic silver. But how much of a change can we really expect to the console? Difference in size? Shape? The addition of playable two controllers or more?

Depends on if you're intentionally baiting news sites or not. :p

Well.. if enough places ran with this story, it could possibly force someone from one of the companies to say something more concrete.

(Go for it!)

And you guys are really tempting me to replay through the Super Mario Galaxy games.

This is my personal opinion, but from an aesthetic standpoint the Wii U console doesn't look too hot. It looks like the Wii in Goofy mode :lol

I'm gonna take this with a big fat grain of salt
Till I see it with my own eyes I'll believe it.

I doubt it, honestly.
I bet it's a remake of 64.

I will patent the 'punch someone in the face' smiley if that happens. No fetch quests. It has left a bad taste. Make one up from the ground up. They can't use anything from it. Ground up, new levels.

Actually, no 3D DK on Wii U. Just ship some guys to help out on SMG3. I don't think I would even look at another 3D DK because of DK 64. Not a bad game but extremely flawed. Would rather another 2D DK with the Upad to let the second player have their own view. I died alot on the latest DK cuz my 8 yo son would distract me with his player and it would cause me to mis-time my jumps. It may sound weird but during the fast action, my brain twitch would be off trying to keep track of which jumping monkey was which.

At the very least, give us more lives. 5 divided by 2 was not enough.

3D DK is utter trash. Maybe it's rare's stench but I just do not want.

You guys are weird. I've said as much internally since E3 with how folks weren't too hot on Wii U's design. As long as it comes in black from the jump, I think it'll be a damn sleek console.

Could someone explain to me what exactly analogue triggers are and why they're so important? There was a discussion about it a couple of days ago.
