Microsoft hasn't even officially acknowledged that Windows Phone 8/Apollo exists, so it makes plenty of sense. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if 1G phones didn't see Apollo, but if 2G didn't it'd be a joke and pretty much be the end of the platform.

It references this needing to be done in-store in order to assure Friday delivery. If that is the case, you would need to talk to a rep anyway, and I'm sure they would be able to sort out your early upgrade.

Look at the title bar of your Spotify app ony our computer. If it doesn't say Spotify Premium you can not use the mobile client.

there's no such thing as a second-gen Windows phone. The only difference is some have front facing cameras but the hardware is the same.

The hardware is not the same. It's a different qualcomm chip.. runs at a higher clockspeed and has a different gpu compared to the initial windows phones.

The "Second gen" windows phones have about double the graphics power of the previous version.

I got a confirmation from Microsoft as well for my raincheck.

Went with the Samsung Focus S, the Titan is just fucking huge. The pixel density bugged the crap outta me as well.

Tried Praetor today, now this is finally a game I don't mind finishing, pretty fun so far since I'm actually losing most of the time. It's a single player turn-based strategy game on hex grids with some card game elements thrown in.

I thought it looked better in the photos, honestly. The phone feels amazing in the hand.. the most solid-feeling plastic I've ever held.. but with the black device and the black theme in WP7.. i felt overwhelmed by the blackness.. but the border around the screen is glossy black and the body is matte slightly lighter black... they aren't similar enough to blend together but not really different enough for either one to stand out.

I think I'll enjoy the black/Cyan contrast provided by the Cyan model more.
