Mass Effect 3 Spoiler Thread |OT2| Taste the Rainbow

The thing is, it shouldn't matter either way what they look. The fact its a 'question' that fans are asking is a fault of the writer considering the way they went about showing tali's face.

I just finished the game... watched all 3 endings...

BEYOND DISAPPOINTING. My mind is full of fuck. 3 games I played... for 3 terrible endings? And only in one is there a hint of Shepard being alive?

And all the mass relays are gone? So the troops in Sol system are stranded there? Tens of millions of them? How the fuck are they gonna get out?

And how the fuck did the Reapers capture the Citadel so quickly and then magically transport it? How the fuck was the Citadel even the Catalyst? WHO MADE THE FUCKING CATALYST? I thought the fucking Reapers made the Citadel/Catalyst, and now the Catalyst says it made the Reapers? Why did it appear as a little boy to Shepard?

Again, my mind is full of fuck. What a shitty way to end such a good trilogy.

Never gets old. Sorry you had to experience that.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Do you think Liara has cameras in Shepard's shower?

Do you think she...watches?

Well... Just finished it.
I'm not even angry. I'm just at a loss for how to feel. I know in my head how bad it was, but it just hasn't fully sunk in yet. Or something.

Those last thirty minutes...

The worst part, I feel, was when I was forced to renegade kill the Illusive Man.
I kid you not, my paragon meter was maxed out except for 5 points. I got 5 renegade points at some part early on in the game (not even sure what from, because I was playing very carefully), yet I couldn't choose the final super paragon dialogue. Instead, I sat waiting for my paragon choice to popup, Anderson dies. Okay, maybe now. Nope, I died. Great, now I have to sit through the discussion again, with no way of skipping it.

Freaking bull crap.

Not to mention, we are going to pull a FF10 and have bahamut little citadel boy suddenly come into existence? What is this? You can't do this! You have to build, hint, or do something to make things like this not feel incredibly contrived, lazy, and broken! Unless I was totally blind to it, this was the first time anything like this was ever remotely touched upon. I mean, come on.

And lol, at those three choices for endings. I was already frustrated, but that was just beautiful. I'm glad they provided images of Anderson and the Illusive Man to let me know which was which. I decided to go with option C, since it sounded like it was going to pull an End of Evangelion. I thought, "Why not? Let's see how stupid this can get."

Dear lord, I wasn't ready for a Joker/EDI to Adam/Eve visual. It made me cringe.
At least they showed Tali (I assume it's the romantic interest) getting out. Thank heavens it wasn't just the two of them left alive.

I mean... Ugh. I just... So much stupid... Just so much...

edit: Actually, no. The best part of all was the giant F-You from Bioware at the end of "hey guys, buy more stuff! YEAH!" So beautiful. They weren't even pretending about it anymore.

We know that feel, bro.

*hugs* it will be ok, we are here for you.
You have lost interest in a franchise and a developer but you have gained a family, welcome brother.

Never gets old. Sorry you had to experience that.

lol

I'm sorry, I feel your pain, but lol.

EDIT: Regarding the Illusive Man, the best you can do is get him to shoot himself. Personally that was OK for me, if a bit repetitive.

EDIT 2: I just suddenly got an email from EAoware. "Welcome to the fight to take back Earth" is the subject.

To be able to hit the red/blue responses in the final conversation with TIM, you always had to pick red or blue responses (any combination) when speaking to him in game or something. This will cause you to not shoot anderson and, provided you chose the paragon response, make TIM shoot himself ijust like Saren in ME1.

We've all been there.

AND WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THE CATALYST?

The Reapers/Catalyst claim their purpose/design is to protect organics from synthetic life. But that's BULLSHIT, because in the end, synthetics control everything anyways! The Reapers (synthetics) come and murder everyone, assimilating them, and just leave newb organics. It serves no purpose because they just repeatedly do that once organics evolve and prosper, to what end? It just shows that the synthetics cause chaos, restore order temporarily, and then do it all over again!

It's fucking stupid. It's SO GOD DAMN STUPID. There has to be more to it than 'well we don't like it when organics make synthetics and then the synthetics go crazy, so we're SUPER-SYNTHETICS that fucking kill everything and then let the lesser organics evolve to that higher level, rinse wash and repeat.'

WHY? Fucking why? It's all a god damn lie.

EDIT: And the Catalyst is the kid... the same kid at the beginning of the game... and in THREE FUCKING NIGHTMARES. What is the meaning of this? Wow. My mind is truly full of fuck the more I think about this.

It's just stupid that those 5 points forced me to act out of character, sit through that crap again, and funnel me into what they decided was how I had to do it.

Is this how you feel and look like right now?
Actually, more like this.

The pie is ME3, and Spongebob is Bioware.

edit: I'm kind of past the anger stage already, since I've been upset over how ludicrous things like the Crucible never being discovered by the Reapers was for the duration of the game. I sort of had my stages of grief in the first half of the game. Now, I'm just in a state of disbelief. I didn't think it was possible to be as bad as everyone made it sound.
It was all that and more...

Me: "Hello, my name is Vicros and I just finished Mass Effect 3."

Everyone: "Hello Vicros."

Therapist: "You're among friends here son, please tell us what happened."

Me: "Well, everything was going great. I was nearing the very end of the game. I knew people hated the ending, but I had avoided spoilers so I had no idea what to expect. As I was sitting on the ground by Anderson in the citidel I thought "this has been pretty cool so far, what are people so pissed off about?", and then....

Therapist: "Yes? What happend after that?"

Me: *sob*

All I can say is don't fall for the indoctrination theory, no matter how much your weakened mental state feels it makes sense.

Shep and Anderson staring at the planet would have been a lot more touching, if I hadn't been distracted by how bad the quality of the image of earth was. Hopefully it looked better on pc, because that was pretty bad.

Mass Effect 1. You talk to a guy and he says he represents the Shadow broker and if you find anything interesting then the SB will pay cash money for it.

Having just literally played completed the sidequest that I believe you are referring to this morning, I can say you are mistaken. You only sell info to the Shadowbroker once in the entirety of ME1, and it's about Cerberus.

At Best Buy and read the end part in that Collectors Edition Strategy guide. Seems like there were a lot of uses for those points... had a list of like 20 things that change depending on your points. But none of it was obvious...

Also, they said something about. If you kept your paddle fish alive between both games, that something special happens after the game is over in Liara's room. Anyone know?

Its like a war, people are still falling left and right.
All with the same reactions, and people who are past that look and say, I was like them.
So sad.
What have you done Bioware.

From the indoctrination theory video:

"What is the meaning of the dreams?
Why does nobody notice the body?
Why would Shepard be immune to indoctrination?
Why does Harbinger take a special interest in Shepard?
Why are there trees from the dream around the beam?
Why does your sidearm have infinite ammo?
Why is the beam directly leading to the panel that opens Citadel's arms?
Why are corpses everywhere on the Citadel, just like on the Collector's ship?
How did Anderson enter the beam before Shepard?"

This sucks.

It's interesting the Eletania vision was never used. It's one of the few (maybe only?) save flags that is not used for anything, not even an email.

It gives you an Intel bonus, which you can use for either a 10% bonus to weapons or power.

You just get an extra "data packet" that you can cash in at the terminal in Liara's quarters and get a slight upgrade to something that for the life of me I can't remember it was just that good.
