They don't have the tricaster yest so they won't have to do that whole 'fake star trek-trackmania tnt' thing this time. I liked it, but still - cards game was the main thing that day.
I don't get where all the equipment went. Will and Norm are operating out of their houses, so why did they get all the gear?

that game also has it's hilarious moments and emotional moments.

I guess now that the cat is out of the bag... there will be a lot of pressure from the audience, some class action lawsuits, cupcakes, and the inevitable blog post about free dlc...

wait what?
Given that Patrick showed some interest in Yakuza Dead Souls/of the Dead, he's basically the only hope we have for a Y3 ER. I hope it happens!

Yakuza 3 would be the worst game in the series for them to pick. You know, since it's shit.

Do 2 or 4 since they're the best, or even just the first game. My copy of Dead Souls has yet to be opened so I can't comment on that.

Because that sort of stuff isn't based on who-could-use-what-best, but which-company-paid-for-what. CBS Interactive wanted to pay for GiantBomb and ComicVine, and not necessarily the equipment, because I'm sure they have a lot of that equipment already or can order it relatively cheaply because they're a giant megacorporation.

Yakuza 3 is at worst marginally worse than Yakuza 2/4 and at best marginally better than Yakuza 2/4. Come on, lol. I actually feel like Yakuza 4 is far too easy and has too few good boss fights to make it better than 3. I doubt that really helps with an endurance run though, since GB dudes struggle with JRPG bosses.

Ryan just asked his followers on twitter about doing another Cards against Humanity TNT. Should be excellent if it happens.

I fail to see the problem.

God, I look like shit in that Pre-Panel video walking in. Guess that's what happens after a couple days of PAX and being stuck in that awful queue room.

Sorry man, Y3 has better highs than the other games!

Maybe, although I find it hard to believe that they'd be able to get a tricaster cheaper than what they would have had to pay for it during that deal anyway. I suppose production equipment is at the bottom of the priority list though, since they didn't even want the technology behind GB/CV.

The part early in the panel when Ryan makes a bad joke, then Alex fucking loses his shit, and is the only person in the entire room to laugh at the joke. Then there's just silence.

God it's too awkward.

I'm pretty sure that happened a number of times

I just pre-ordered a copy of Cards Against Humanity because of that panel. I have played Apples to Apples with a few friends recently and we had a blast, so I think a similar game but with options geared more towards my sensibilities sounds fantastic.

Oh man, Alex is the WORST fill in for Vinny imaginable. Why is he being so loud on this panel?!

If any you have met Alex in person you'll know he's actually a really cool, down to earth guy to talk to and just chill. Really wish everyone would stop being such enormous assholes. Everyone has awkward moments.

He might be a really cool guy in person, but he's sadly kind of annoying anytime he's trying to entertain people. Drew or Dave being up there would have been so much better from a comedy/entertainment perspective, sorry. I don't hate Alex, but that's just the truth.

Problem is if Alex is really that he doesn't show it in any of the videos he's in. I don't really care how any of them are irl to be honest, or if they go to church/give to charity. Alex is loud and obnoxious most of the times (in video/audio form), how is pointing that out being an asshole? People aren't really implying he is a terrible person or that he kicks puppies for a living or something like that.

I don't have any problem with Alex. I'm actually a fan of his snark, especially in his writing but on this panel it was like.

Ryan: *says something*

Alex: HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

His mic levels didn't sound right. He sounded a lot louder than everyone else even when talking normally. I think that contributed a lot to it.

I like Alex's writing, and I have nothing bad to say about his personal character or whatever, but he's been a drag in the panel video. The biggest issue I can think of was his stream of appeals to the crowd that went nowhere; he also seemed bizarrely rude to Rich Gallup, even in the context of joking around.

When you get put in front of a mic, under lights, in front of a room full of 1,000+ people that is bound to make some get a little out of synch from being nervous. Brad's way is to deal with that is looking at the guys next to him and not the audience, Alex's way seems to be to just take it head on. Which appears to make him jumpy.

People react differently under those situations. He's a human being.

Not looking forward to Alex turned up to 11 now! I've been bored of his snarky ways for a good long time... I definitely don't need it in my face.

I agree that Dave should've had the spot instead. He's way more GB than Alex.

Same thing was going down at the Giant Bomb forums until it got locked.

The internet enables people to talk extreme shit about people they don't know. Imagine that.

I find it so incredibly easy to just trash someone on the internet, I don't really see the point of it. Congratulations, you can talk crap about someone who's thousands of miles away and you'll never have to confront. Good for you.

I understand your point but it's also OK just to not like someone's personality.
