I'm planning on going greatsword/rifle warrior, but I'm an altoholic, so we'll see what I end up settling on for the main.
I wouldn't call it "released," more like purchasable.
I've got Hydra and Griffon minis for free if anyone wants them. I'd be happy to help with HoM, for example if you need the black moa hatched, I've got the "Final Assault" quest and honeycombs if needed. Don't really have anything to do in the game though, so you're better of pm'ing me, but nick's Kayla Windarrow.
Got my account setup and all of the HoM item rewards, now just the stupid wait left. The 60 price is pretty ridiculous for a PC-only, DD title. Especially as I only paid 37 for a retail copy.

I still don't get it. Diablo 2, Guild Wars (and many others I don't have on Steam) are years old, and are readily available for download.
I'm sure someone will take you up on those honeycombs. My GOD it was annoying to farm for those when I was trying to finish that Hearts of the North quest.

I'll definitely accept your help if you're still offering it. I'm only 3 points in (according to the HoM calculator). I'm playing through the first Guild Wars (just created a character) and I'm almost done with the Searing so I'm not into the game at all at this point. I plan to buy all of the GW games (especially the expansion to link to the HoM) soon as well. I'll pm you my character name if you still want to help, I'm playing along with one of my friends who is also getting GW2.
I would just like to get to 30 points eventually, but I'm not sure if that will happen. I know it probably won't happen before GW2's release.

Went to preorder the other day but stopped do to the price. I was hoping that $60 price on Amazon was a place holder but looks like the base game is going to cost that much. I'll be waiting it seems. I was prepared for this though but $60 is more then I'm willing to spend, especially when I know the price will drop soon after release. Also more then I want to drop right now.

Warehouse Deals aren't actually used, just damaged in the warehouse. Usually it's nothing more than shrinkwrap tearing or a bent corner. The key should be perfectly usable.

Hehe, yeah 30/50 seems like it may be a little hard. I like collecting vanity pets so getting the miniatures from HoM is something that I really want to do (30/50 ensures all of the rewards - just not the titles if I am correct).

Look closely, it actually says 11 doll hairs. Given the current market and exchange rates, that sounds like 11 cents US to me.
I was surprised Gamestop called me back with my Pre-Purchase code so quickly. I was actually on hold with their 800 number when call waiting kicked in. I was sure I was going to end up spending the afternoon explaining this shit to some yahoo in the call center.
Now I'm hoping they don't smash the box to bits or open it, or forget my pre-order, or... god knows what else.

To be fair, the game is more or less almost done. If they were asking for Pre-Purchase before they started development, or even showed off any footage, I'd agree with you. You're basically paying for Beta access and the 3-day Headstart.
Most MMOs do this already, they just usually have a launch date.

Yeah, EotN is a solid expansion and still holds up really well. Some of the environments in it are seriously beautiful looking. Nightfall ain't bad either. Prophecies and Factions are getting a little dated though.Eye of the North is really, really good.

Kinda "lol'd" when it seemed he didn't notice that his inventory had popped up as well when he called the vault and proceeded to drag from his original window.
Is the golem acquirable at a later date? I know with the DDE we have access to it for 5 days but I'm wondering if you can acquire it later as well.
I do believe that you can buy an Asuran Banker Portal in the gem store. Though I don't know if it has all of the same functions as the Butler or just banking.

I could use some help finishing Eye of the North, I think I am almost done. Its just that damn Cyndarrrrrrrrrr that I can't get passed. I also am stuck on the second to last Nightfall mission. I have gotten Shiro down once, but got killed trying to cap the shrines. Overaggroing heroes.
After I finish those two campaigns, I think I'm just going to work through winds of change to get an oppressor weapon, farm gold for an elite sunspear armor. I think that gets me something like 17 points which I am fine with lol.

It's the hardest mission in the game on both NM and HM.
Real pain to complete even with a PUG group.

It says I have to verify my mail, but that isn't really possible since I got a @plaync mail from them to sign in with when I bought GW from their site 3 years ago. I have my real mail tied to that account, but I don't get a mail to that one.

Also, are Oppressor and Torment weapons customized or can they be bought second-hand?

I must have been hiding under a rock to somehow not have seen any videos of this game in action yet, so color me pleasantly ready to jump in when I decided to open this thread. How is this beta thing working, I prepurchase through amazon and I get a beta key? But it only works some weekends?
If you Pre-purchase (Pay in full, not just pre-order) from any of the retailers listed here or directly from ArenaNet, you get an access code that grants you access to all Beta Weekend Events (next one is supposed to be at the end of the month) and a 3-day head start. Plus an in-game ring with decent starter stats. Amazon, so far, is having some issues with the pre-purchase program, but we've been getting lots of tweets from ArenaNet and they're supposedly working on it as quickly as possible
No release date either; most of us are thinking June/July, but it's possible it won't be until Autumn. So you're basically paying to access the game on select weekends in the interim and 3 days before everyone else. For some people, it's worth it, others, not so much. Decide for yourself.
If you are interested in picking up the Collector's Edition.... there's been quite a clusterfuck with that, your best bet (if you're in the US) is to go to Gamestop and deal with their terrible asses. If you're in Europe... well, it's mostly sold out there.
Edit: Sorry PewPew, gotta get up pretty early to beat ol' Retro... like... Noon. Noon-ish That'd give you an hour, hour and a half or so.
When you pre-purchase, that is pay for the game in full, you get access to a 3 day headstart and ALL Beta Weekend Events (BWEs). These BWEs are confirmed to happen approximately once a month until release. How many BWEs there are until launch are determined by player feedback.
However, if you pre-order, that is put anything down other than the full amount, you are not guaranteed any beta access and will only receive a one day heardstart when the game launches.
A list of the retail locations you can pre-purchase at is given here. If you buy the digital versions, you can do it directly from ArenaNet here.
I don't believe Amazon's pre-purchase program is yet running.

That won't work since I can't play it but on special weekends I guess, I just don't have the time for that strict a schedule.
