Now seriously:
1.- About the "your games sucks" everybody here talked about generalization, racism, modern japanese industry, if Blow or Inafune say similar things...
But it's still very impolite to tell, in a conference, something like "
your games sucks". Doesn't matter if who make the question (and then, the subject) is a young japanese developer, a Ubi developer, a Facebook social game developer or Molineux.
If someone say that he's a Facebook, Ubi, japanese, developer, and ask about current Facebook, Ubi, japanese, games, you don't insult the guy saying "your games sucks". Even if those games really sucks. You offer an argumented constructive critic. Or not critic at all.
2.- About testers. I'm a programmer in a company, and in all the games where I work, in the credits, appear all the tester names. It's the fair thing to do (and if you forget to add a name, they will report this as a bug
). And in all the games that I play, in the credits, there are the tester names. And if it's a small game and there is nothing in the tester section of the credits, I assume that there hasn't been testers, and the game has been tested by the same developers. In the credits of a game, there has to be all people that has worked in the game, even the people that abandoned the project before being finished.
Honestly, isn't that pretty much exactly what Fez is (but more refined)? Seems like it to me. Collect a few things, rotate the level a few times, move on to the next level.
Yep, but the game is from 2011, and Fez was shown in gameplay on 2008, so Sky Island is based on Fez, not the reverse.
