No, they are "Unofficial" sentai. If you want to read it in the super sad way, this is basically just a bunch of people making their own costumes in order to delude themselves into feeling important. Like Kickass or whatever that movie was called.
There goes my fanfic down the drain.

Tsuritama 2:
It was a mixed bag. I feel like some of the weird stuff at the beginning of the episode with the water guns and all was kind of a drag, but the second half was much better. Yuki's reactions to pretty much everything that happened were interesting, and I really liked the scene where he was lying in bed. Natsuki's home life gives us some further insight into his character, too. Nothing this show is doing is blowing me away, but it seems good enough to keep watching, and it's a very interesting show visually.

and yes!

Heh, and I thought that the anime has bad characters designs!

Well, I suppose it still does. The manga is closer to AKB48.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
I see the dork wears briefs, but the delinquent wears boxers, and the modest girl wears a conservative one piece.

I'm so glad we underwear-code our teenagers.

This is really ruined by the fact that Richie looks more like a girl than Ri'ko.

While the number of roaming gangs in Kids on the Slope is pretty darn ridiculous it's at least worth pointing out that the second episode takes place a couple of weeks after this first one, so it's not all this stuff was happening right on top of each other.

Also, I like the way that
the three encounters were all resolved differently. In the first episode there's an actual fight, at the start of the second episode it starts off like another brawl but kind of descends into stupidity and the third encounter doesn't actually lead to any physical conflict.

Still, having all these characters meet up solely through fights seems like some lazy writing.

To be fair, what do you expect modest girls to wear, immodest clothing? That wouldn't make any sense.

The 60's were a dangerous time, full of roaming bandits and brave heroes.

Yes.

Is that unexpected of me? I feel like I'm doing something wrong if something like this is unexpected of me.

Also, I am not entirely sure why certain scenes are shot to make Kids on the Slope look like a BL work when clearly it isn't. I find it hard to believe that they're just pandering to fan girls, but I don't know how to explain all the slow, lingering shots where we see men check each other out.

I mean, this whole sequence was really heavily loaded with innuendo, but I can't really see the point of it -

I think you guys are looking for BL where there is none.

I've read the Outsiders, rumbles were clearly a normal occurance in the 60s! I mean, its not like they anything better to do like play videogames and use the internet.

You people are freakin' posting machines!

That whole toilet scene dissection you had back there was the most fun I've had with Accel World thus far.

I understand that this a joke, but in my country at least the 60's was a time with quiet a bit of teenager on teenager violence, but that was largely Mods vs Rockers and they were actually looking to go out and hurt each other.

I'm not sure what the 60s were like in the U.S. because I failed history.

I imagine this country also went through a teenage-gang phase or two.

Right, there was just some phallus action, boys taking off their shirts and gazing longingly at each other. Nothing too overt.

Hey hey not every popscicle is a penis, and was gazing at his cross not his chest! The only ones gazing longingly here seem to be the audience.

Now about the guys who were removing Kaoru's pants...

Where does Fujiko hide her hair?

She has so much, just where does it all go?
To be fair, the water gun certainly makes a person extremely...pliable.

In other words it's a magical device that lets characters do things with no good cause!
Yay for plot devices!

Only Japan could turn something as great as the Cthulhu mythos and turn it into a
pink(green)-haired otaku girl alien. A mundane harem show.

Words cannot describe how difficult this show is to watch for me, I thought constant Lovecraftian references would make it more bearable. Seriously, Lovecraft is rolling in his grave.

Like everyone was predicting, Sentai has licensed Dusk Maiden of Amnesia for home video release.

An amusing fact I read from the interwebs: Sentai has made 29 license announcements since the beginning of the year. That means, on average, there's been a new Sentai license announced once every 4.23 days.

Are they picking up more new shows than Funimation at this point?

There's nothing sick or filthy about subtextual homoerotic tension.
Seriously, bunch of homophobes in here.

This is just pure love between a guy, another guy, and a bunch of guys who want to rape the first guy.
