Kuroko's Basketball 5

Kise couldnt sink the ship. Regardless, ending of the previous combined with Kise's moment at the start of this was pretty emotional. Even though it was a practice game losing to your friend has got to hurt. Enjoyable rest of the episode, kurokoicchi and kagamicchi will make a great team, and hope to see Kise in the future. Midorima, based on this episode, will probably be my least favorite of the Generation of miracles, what strategy could they even employ against
one who misses no shots?

Ok. So the return to school is part of keikaku. I understand. But I don't approve.

Meanwhile: casual keikaku!

Hey, watch out. If you poke my eye with that chin I don't know what could happen.

... But the casual keikaku didn't work out so well. I guess it's hard to make a concise, fail-proof plan when you have no idea
what kind of outworldly super power your enemy has this time. One can alter the will, another can erase memories, and this kid can stop the freaking time.

Shirley, I'll tell you now: no one gives a crap about your relationship issues. You shouldn't even like that guy. He's crazy. And his harem includes a mech pilot and an "immortal witch". You just stand no chance.

Edit: Did I just type "proof-fail"?

The superior almost pities the weak.

To talk about last stuff first, Rolo
stops time?
Oooh dear! Oooh my. Ooooh dear! Too bad it doesn't come with a Rolex product placement.

Ledouche puts his identity in the balance, not unlike the last series while military forces are still surprised that Zero has returned after a rather brief hiatus. He uses keikaku to keep them on their toes about the matter, as usual.

The Black Knights
are in danger though, so what shall the keikaku consist of this time? Shall Ledouche still be a douche? (Of course he will!)

Overall, pacing reminded me more of R1. I could've used some more mecha action though. So I can rest easy, right guys?

....Guys?

Also: Shirley, go rot somewhere.

Up to episode 15 of Mirai Nikki...why did they have to replace the wonderful original opening with some horrible Engrish abomination? :(

The worst part is that the song would have been cool if it had Japanese lyrics. Or if the singer actually knew English.

Dead End is the superior OP, when is faylan ever not good? OP1 felt kind of spoilery looking at the series after having finished it, imo.

The first OP definitely contains some spoilers, but I really didn't realize until I had seen more episodes.

Yeah, it just sounds silly as is /:

To show how far downhill the show is going.

Yuno is my favorite character, so
episode 14 was certainly a bummer.

Also, it is just me, or is there some decline in production values around episode 11 or 12? The animation doesn't seem as consistent.

I will never have a cute ghost that will ask me to touch her :(

Good episode, really loved the visuals at the end. The thing with the cursed stone just shows how much of a dick Yuuko is. Also dat ending

I don't think it's possible for CG cars to look much worse than this.

Other than that, it was a pretty good episode.

Looks like someone pulled that out of the 90s.

Rest easy, there's plenty of Mecha and Pizza to come. You haven't seen anything yet!

So Upotte 5 is a return to glory? I dropped it after those series of boring episodes, but if I'm reading these posts right, I need to watch this episode.

Maturity, bitches.
It only really starts going downhill after episode 22. It tries hard to do it in the
Eleventh
arc, but not sufficiently.
But they killed twelfth too early on.
Can't really remember when I personally thought the show lost the plot. Once I hit the ending that was all I could think about when it came to this show.

Episode 23 takes a real nose dive in terms of animation quality.

Amen brother.
He has only watched ONE episode. If he can't be bothered to follow the basic three episode rule before submitting a review then his opinion is utter tosh. Also he clearly needs to watch more if his list of god tier anime is anything to go by. Girls Bravo would be a good start.

Anime fandom is a terrifying and depressing thing outside of the safe cocoon of AnimeGAF.

Honestly, in cases like this, one is enough.

And so it is for many MAL raters eager to share their lolpinions as quickly as possible! No review is premature and uninformed so long as it's first. It's automatic credibility.

I felt it became really stupid when Yuki found out that
Yuno became god in a separate world and went back to kill herself and spend more time with him. Next thing you know Minene is not only alive but also Goku.

The first facepalm the show made me pull was in episode 19, though.
The episode ends with all the remaining players armed to the teeth together, and the next starts like that had never happened. So stupid.
But right before that there was
Marco and Ai, and then Yuki being awesome with his plan to kill all of the kids in Eighth's army,
so it was still good.

People on MAL rate shows after a single episode regardless of whether they like it or hate it, though. At least the site has a countermeasure against this that doesn't include a member's score in a show's overall metascore if the member has seen less than 20% of the series, but the point here is that it's kind of disturbing to see just how many people need to have a number slapped on a series as quickly as possible.

It's some kind of strange compulsion mixed with a total lack of comprehension of the concept of critical analysis, though that probably describes the entire MAL culture. I don't really value MAL reviews or metascores, but as one of the major internet hubs of English-language anime fandom I suppose that it warrants discussion sometimes.

reminds me of the my little pony collage's that people make to convince themselves that the show is dark and edgy
That kind of (now habitual) images has always been a running gag reference to that famous .GIF made as an ironic response to the haters of So・Ra・No・Wo・To, after episode 7 of that show, that used the "cute girls doing cute things" phrase coined for the K-ON! series:

Complains about giving out 10s like candy and counts Code Geass as a 10. He must be using my scale where Sekirei gets an 8. Not because it is legitmately good, but it does an admirable job of being a guilty pleasure. So that 10 either was recognition for being a glorious trainwreck or he is insane.

The Light of El Cantare
Un-Go 06:

That was...................good?

Finally, a mystery that's concisely established and relatively cleanly-solved within the span of a single episode without relying on Inga's hax powers
although Kazamori's powers are almost as hax.
I was impressed with the understandable and logical progression of the detective work because, well, Shinjuurou did actual investigation this episode instead of cutting corners with the expectation that he can use Inga to magically bridge the gaps in his deductions.

This was probably the darkest mystery yet, largely because it touched on the central conflict of the show
which I assume to be Shinjuurou versus Kaishou Rinroku, the embodiment of Japan's repressive government
. The revelation that
Japan is actually jailing scholars for violating censorship laws
was fairly disturbing, as was the remainder of the episode until
Rinroku managed to turn the entire invetigation on its head by producing the children
. I still don't trust that the case is actually as clean and tidy as it appears, as at this point it's becoming more and more clear that
Rinroku is an extraordinarily underhanded if not outright evil individual
and it's doubtful that he'd actually
look out for the children of someone who was imprisoned under laws that he helps to enforce
. I certainly hope that there's more to the case than what is visible on the surface.

And that final scene?
Another EEEEEEVIL detective with an Inga-ish sidekick of his own?
I have no idea where the plot is going to go from here.

Just returned from a small gathering between friends.

All of them are casual anime watches at best, but thankfully they're all very open and will happily check out anything I recommend.

Towards the end of the night we decided to watch something, so I took advantage of this situation and recommended we all watch Garzey's Wing. Luckily none of them had heard of it.

During the next 90mins the room was filled with tears of laughter, agony and shear disbelief. Drink was also spat out due to shear shock and surprise.

Finally, the ending sequence provided minutes worth of pure ecstasy and laughter, along with anger directed at me.

After it had finished one of my friends then messaged the shows title to 5 other people and asked them to also check it out.

Very successful evening.
