Ehhh, if you're not a longtime fan I wouldn't bother with any of the tie in books. It seems they're fun if you're already reading but completely non essential. I'm reading Nightwing but it's not particularly good in any dept. It's a solid 3/5, but not something I would recommend to anyone. The goodies are all in Batman. If you've not been reading it, start at #1 and work forward - the Court of the Owls is all spinning naturally from the story therein.
Where's the love for Daredevil #12? Are there only two or three of us reading the title?

i think it'd actually be kinda neat if she were a waitress at El Fenix or Razzoos or Red Lobster or Hooters instead of a politician or whatever she's doing right now
she'd get mad tips
Brahs I just saw the Avengers and found out it was based on a comic, where can I read more Agent Coulson stories? Thanks.

When I started working on Sweet Tooth three years ago I thought Id be lucky if the series made it ten issues. I never dreamed Id be able to tell the kind of sprawling, 40-issue epic that it ended up becoming. In many ways Sweet Tooths likelihood of survival in the competitive comics market was about as great as Gus likelihood of survival in the post-apocalyptic world he inhabits. After all, who would have bet on a weird little book about a boy with antlers ever surviving in a market flooded with blockbuster cape and tight titles? But somehow it did. Because of my incredibly loyal fans and the a lot of hard work from collaborators like Matt Kindt, Nate Powell, Emi Lenox and, of course, my closest and most valued teammate, the great Jose Villarrubia, Sweet Tooth survived.
So why end it now? I want to make one thing really clear Sweet Tooth is not being cancelled. The decision to end it at #40 is entirely my choice. Truth is, I always knew what the ending of Sweet Tooth would be. It was one of the first ideas I came up with when writing the pitch for the book. The beginning and the end of this story were always pretty much written in stone, it was the middle bit that was fluid, and grew and changed as I went along. So, for me its incredibly gratifying to finally get to the end of the journey with Gus and Jepperd. Everything Ive done with the series so far, everything Ive built month after month, has all been about this, the final story.
I suppose I could have stretched it out a bit longer. I could have had a few more obstacles pop up along the way to Alaska to lengthen the journey (and the series), but it just felt like it was time. Gus wanted to get to Alaska now and who am I to argue? Ill miss my little antlered friend. But I owe it to him to finish his story properly. To leave it all on the ice as they like to say up here in Canada. And that means not prolonging the series just because I can.
But dont give up on me. I really feel the best is still to come. The final arc, THE WILD KINGDOM, will be full of everything youve loved about Sweet Tooth as well as many new surprises, new characters and new revelations. And it all builds to one final double sized, fully painted final issue with #40 this December.

Is Brubaker's Cap omni a good jumping-on point?
After Avengers movie I want read more Hulk stories, so where to start?
Definitely, Brubaker's Cap omnibus vol 1 and 2 are amazing, then it offers a jump-off point or you can continue with vol 3 ( which i had a large problem with...)
The most important thing about enjoying Bru's amazing Cap run in knowing when to stop.
I have the same problem with Amazon. Use InStockTrades. Often better prices too. Their free shipping is $50 and up but otherwise a $4 flat rate.I have a question that hopefully GAF comic-age can answer. I buy comics exclusively in trade collections, and I'm wondering where's the best place to buy? I usually buy them off amazon.com because that seems to be the cheapest, and amazon prime gets the comics out very fast. More often than not, I get comics with huge creases and folds, remainder marks (black sharpie across the top of the pages), and other physical problems. Comic stores are usually a lot more expensive. What do you all do?

I've ordered from cheapgraphicnovels.com and was satisfied. It took a while for the package to ship, but once it did, it came fast and well packaged. Shipping comes out alright if you order a lot, and probably works out cheaper than amazon. I ordered around $80 worth. It came wrapped in plastic with a piece of cardboard to keep it all from bending, although since it was like 7 books together, it wasn't likely to bend anyway.I have a question that hopefully GAF comic-age can answer. Do you buy them new from Amazon? Or used and/or from third parties?
I get my comics almost exclusively from Amazon, probably around 80 books a year, and don't really have problems. Occasional roughed up corners from shipping, but that's about it.
Midtown Comics is solid too. They'll do free shipping within the US on orders over $75.
I got caught up on Morning Glories, i'm a bit soured. It feels like Spencer got six issues into the series and then went crazy. After the first arc came five or six issues each dedicated to a main student's history. Then, while i try to remember what i read in the first six issues when it was drastically more interesting than backstory, no realllllllllll plot point was taken to any higher level. Basically the book keeps going without any of the payoffs along the way. And now after reading issues 16 and 17, this book has no engaging direction.
I still kind of like it though...it's not without its charm and i like the art, i just wish it told more of a story than just tangents. I complain a lot about things but rarely do i feel a book is worth taking a chance on even if you won't like it. Give it a try, the first tpb is cheap and there is also a deluxe hardcover collecting the first twelve issues.
I'm thinking the latter, everything I order from Amazon has been in excellent condition except for the occasional corner damage. I have ordered a few out of print trades from third party sellers when it was the only option, but those have been in good condition as well.Do you buy them new from Amazon? The secret history of the Phoenix is revealed in K'un Lun's book of the dead Iron Fists. One of the most important chapters in the AVX story. What is Danny Rand's secret connection to the Phoenix?
Christ, New Avengers is out again? I feel like I'm on Bendis overload.
Luke Cage, Ms Marvel, Spiderman, Wolverine, Dr. Strange, Iron Fist, Mockingbird, Thing (sometimes), Daredevil (sometimes), Squirrel Girl (nanny).Who is on the New Avengers roster now?
My man!Well to be fair, his New Avengers tie in was the only issue of AvX worth reading so far.
Oh...well..Best part? One issue closer to the end, and the beginning of a new Avengers Era. )))))
Once this happens, take my money, Marvel!
My man!
Oh...well..
Yeah, I agree that Bendis has pretty much done all that he can do with those teams. Still, I'm bummed out he's leaving. He doesn't seem to be popular in many circles but he writes interesting stories and his banter can always make me crack a smile.
Ah well. It'll be nice to see another take on the Avengers.
i really, really enjoy Morning Glories but you are right in that the mysteries seem to sprawl out a bit. however, the authors have said they have the whole story pretty much written - it will be 100 issues all said and done. knowing that we're barely 20% of the way there, i feel comfortable with the amount of time they'll have to bring all this back together.
it's paced a bit like LOST - which may or may not be your thing. i don't think we're going to get any real payoffs until we're closer to 40/50% done - and i'm OK with that as long as the author knows what he's doing and where he's going.

I have had two bad experiences with Amazon and they were both the same thing. My copies of Y, TLM V1 and American Vampire V2 came unwrapped so they were kind of scuffed up from either shipping or storage in the warehouse.I have a question that hopefully GAF comic-age can answer. I'm actually hoping dong the cosmic thing will rev Bendis back up and get him wildly creative again. He did write my favorite Marvel run...well ever (Alias).
