After reading all the meh opinions on Fables, I've decided to skip it and just hunt down back issues and old trades of BPRD. I'm thinking this is a much more sound financial decision haha.
Oh man... Bleeding Cool thinks they've cracked the code on Marvel's "The First X-Men" reveal later today.
If it's anything likethen boy oh boy are we in for a weird trip. It probably won't be since there's a collaborator to reign in, but you never know.Batman Odyssey
Justice League International has been cancelled as per the solicits.

Dude. Dudes. A) It's nowhere near a number that would warrant a cancellation, because I mean this is DC and they are still publishing turds like Firestorm, so you know. B) It's not advertised as the capital-F finale but as the FINALE? with a question mark. Which in comic book terms means it's absolutely not the finale in any way whatsoever.
bummer, I was hoping it would get fun so I could go back to it

Is Earth 2 out yet? I think it might be the week after next?
#1 is out.
Can someone tell me more about this awesome image?I am in love.
Err, I meant the second issue. I recall either it was getting a name change or that Power Girl and Huntress got their own book. I don't follow DC much anymore outside Aquaman.
Can someone tell me more about this awesome image?
Ooops! Yeah #2 is a week or two away. The girls book is Worlds Finest and came out the same week as Earth 2 #1.
Cool. I will have to check those books out once they are collected.Animal Man and Swampy have shared a mythos since issue 1 of their respective books. The Green, The Red and The Rot are coming together for a huge wrap up!
The build up has been amazing.
I'm looking to get into Cosmic Marvel, specifically the stuff written by Abnett/Lanning. From the little bit that I've researched, it looks like Annihilation is a natural starting point.
Is anyone a fan of these books? More than anything I want to read War of Kings, but I think it will be fun to read the build-up stuff as well.
Everybody looks pretty scared. Guess I'd be scared too after seeing 'Pool cut off Hulk's head.
Ok, thanks.Start from Annihilation advancing through Conquest to War of Kings, and yeah i just started reading from Annihilation a couple days ago myself and it's been good so far.
Boy, they sure are giving Cullen Bunn a lot of work at Marvel. Wolverine, Captain America team-up, Venom, co-writing Cap with Brubaker(probably gonna take that over, too), now a Deadpool mini.
Awesome. At least now I know for sure that I should start with Annihilation.Annihilation is my favourite Marvel crossover this decade.
Start there and decide how much time you want to invest in the books. There were 4 big crossovers, related miniseries, and two ongoings (Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy)
Annihilation Conquest was the weakest crossover, so if you are bummed with that book after the original, it gets better.
I don't know, for all the crap we give Marvel, this is one of the best things that any company does. They give writers a lot of freedom on this kind of stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if Remenders decreased workload is a result of him returning to creator owned works.I wouldn't be surprised if companies do that to more writers so they don't have time to take their best work to Image.
Lol at Marvel's "Before X-Men."

While we're on this topic, what part of Annihilation should I read in order to get the core essence. Is there a specific mini-series for the event, or should I read everything. The hardcovers seem to collect every all the issues from all the series involved.
To put it another way, what is the proper read order?
Just received this via Amazon.
HEY GUYS, TURNS OUT WOLVERINE FOUNDED THE X-MEN BECAUSE WOLVERINE SELLS COMICS
So stupid.
'Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe' this August by Cullen Bunn and Dalibor Talajic (Comic Book Resources)

What do I need to know/read to get into this Uncanny X-Force series? Everyone seems to love this Remender guy and I'm nearing the end of Whedon's really fun Astonishing X-Men run and I think I could do with another good X book.
