Damn, almost missed picking up a Legendary shield. Found it while backtracking. Orange on sand is hard to see. lol

Too bad it's junk like the rest of legendary junk I've gotten. Why couldn't it have a good strength stat?

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you trying to hit things with it? Drag the primary attack off your hot bar and it'll change back to just normal melee attack.

However, I'm not too sure I want to do just basic melee either. Unless I have attack speed buffs to make it swing faster, it's really slow damage output, compared to primary attacks.

You asked what was better, and I replied. I had no idea it was scenario specific. So let me clarify: For 10-15% of the game maybe +dmg is a better modifier. For the other 85-90%, you're going to want a more balanced and nuanced approach.

I'm not able to watch the video, but I'm curious what it is? Are they actually nerfing the boss or the class?

He wasn't whining at all. I thought he took it pretty well considering what happened and how much they invested into it.

Just got my first legendary in Act III. Although kinda dissapointing because it's only a lvl 16 item. It's monk fist weapon called Rabid Strike or something.

4 Monks with glyphed Serenity that extends the immunity to the party in a small radius and enough CD reduction to rotate them to stay immune. The glyph was nerfed to prevent this.

What stat of a weapon should I look for to boost my Damage ? Almost end of Act III and my damage is pretty mediocre. :/

Seems like boosting Dexterity only helps a little.

Man im not getting any good gear in act 3. Lost count of how many times ive been smashed into dust by enemy's mind you. Had a good group earlier for act 2 (war/monk/2 mage) that was doing well but since then in two mans its a shit load harder.

At least it's good that the AH has it's own server so it doesn't bring everything down at the same time but still annoying.

Having a LVL 35 on Nightmare act 1. Somehow my lvl 31 demon hunter and wizard friend make way more damage than I do. What skills/rune combinations are considered the best ones?

Currently using the explosive frogs, dmg swallowing dogs, the first giant and the poison lake thing.

Has anyone unlocked the Whimsyshire level yet? I can't even activate the fireplace in Leoric's Manor (on normal difficulty), am I doing something wrong?

No way, that stuff is totally necessary. The Auction House is already broken; we don't need people to be able to more easily sell stuff. Makes it so people actually have to think before putting items on there.

At lvl40 you unlock Vision Quest, and can start using this. Currently plowing through hell act 1.

Basically, Infinite Dire Bats.

He really is awesome. It's just that we had a couple of cases of crazy stupid racism in the last couple of weeks on the Internet. There was when The Hunger Games movie came out there was a bunch of people pissed of because two characters (Rue and Cenna) were played by black actors.... Even from people who actually read the book but choosed to ignore the lines where it was descibing those characters physical appareance. Anyway, like I said, I'm glad it hasn't happened, I'm just a bit surprised lol.

So I wandered into a few stores today expecting Diablo 3 to be everywhere, but apparently it's sold out in my entire city. I just bought the digital version, I kinda wanted the box but not badly enough to not have the game today.

The system is relatively obtuse right now and it's hard to figure out how much something should be sold for. You can't tell if prices you see an auction currently at are actual bids or just someone's starting price, so it's hard to know what prices should be where. Especially since it's all new. If you set your price too high and realize it later, you're stuck with occupied auction slots for 2 days (me). I'd rather be able to re-list those items than be stuck with dumb auctions. And fuck, in 2 days, I will have had better drops than any of the items I've listed, so I don't even care about them now. Even eBay allows you to cancel an auction within like 6 or 7 hours of it finishing.

Also, there should be an "accept current bid" option if you decide to list an auction without a buyout. If you like a bid and don't want to wait 2 days for it to complete, why should you have to? I think that would be a nice option.

It is disappointing the limited options they have in the AH. I have been spoiled by the WoW AH which was excellent at filtering supplies.

Are there any actual advantages to using daibo weapons on monks? I can't think of any good reasons with the dual fist weapons (with the extra bonuses and sockets).

The limit for 10 auctions at a time and the inability to cancel after 5 mins are there so the Auction isn't just flooded with crap or things at exorbitant prices. The proper values for things will average out after a while as a result.

If you allow people to cancel bids whenever they want, they can just mindlessly put whatever they want up at any time with little concern or thought. That you can't cancel it until 2 days have passed means you have to carefully consider what you're putting on there and at what prices. The 5 mins are there as a minor grace period.

I had like 5 failed auctions from release day taking up space that only recently ended because I put up the wrong stuff and/or set bad prices. That's how it should be, and the wait is the proper penalty to limit that sort of thing, along with the 10 auction limit. Given that people have recently been finding looting exploits, it's even more necessary, especially when you consider the RMAH opening up soon.

And as far your last point, that's specifically what the buyout option is there for. If you like a certain bid then why don't you just set that as the buyout? People want stuff immediately, anyway. Set a buyout price.

Attacks derived off weapon damage is about it. Dual wielding just seems better overall DPS, especially in the early going from my experiements with both 2h and dual wield.

Thanks to a generous gaffer I finally got to try d3, and I'm loving it! Was playing d2 while mumbling obscenities until now. Playing on this laptop is a bit sucky though.

I played sorc on d1 and d2, changing it up with a witch doctor named hoodoo joojoo this time though. Probably won't stick it out though and thinking about picking a monk next.

for anyone who can answer, is the ending open for a future expansion?

How do you gear best as a wizard? AH searches for Minimum Arcane/Any Damage on gear? Or Int? Or I guess, both, since Int is a multiplier?

I'm just trying to figure out why I'm only around 150 dps at level 25, but other wizards seem to be higher.
