Yes NSMB is going to be a great game, so is Pikmin. But they had no single drop of new "core" gamer content.
I consider myself practically a Nintendo fanboy. I always look to them first in my gaming.

Well, I thought the Sony one was the worse of teh bunch, but the issue here is that Nintendo had a new console to talk about and they did not deliver. I mean, with a new system Nintendo should of won by default, but this conference did not make me want a Wii U....
The funniest response is how the crowd went crazy when they said "you can use 2 controllers"...wow such a novel idea...2 controllers...but did you hear that if you use 2 controllers it cuts back performance of the game you are playing??? Here is what Engaget stated about it:
Update: In a follow-up, Nintendo Japan has posted on Twitter that there's a price to pay if two Gamepads are active. Frame rates drop to about 30 fps if two are active; any games that really want that extra controller won't be quite as glass-smooth. On the upside, it's possible to switch one off with a smooth transition; there won't be a need for theatrics just to switch to a solo game.

It's time for Nintendo to create a new IP, this shit is getting ridiculous.
The console does seem to have a pretty good launch lineup, as pretty much all the games shown at the conference will be out before the end of the year. The problem is that Nintendo hasn't shown a single game that's coming out after that.

The launch lineup isn't bad, and if I didn't own a PS3 or 360 I'd call it great, but that's the thing. There are three games (Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros. U, and Rayman Legends) in that launch lineup I want to play that I can't get on my current systems.
Disappointed with the Wii U showing. Hopefully the 3DS showing is better.

It's crazy, even if they just devoted much more time to talk about the third party ports the conference would have been so much better. They had the WB reps come on and show some cool stuff with Arkham and the Gamepad, so why couldn't they have done the same for other titles? Why not bring in Randy Pitchford to demo some Aliens CM gameplay and show off the motion tracker features, or an EA rep come on to talk about why we should be excited about Mass Effect 3 on Wii U? Or have have someone from Namco come and show off some Tekken Multiplayer? ANYTHING.

Anyone else here hyped about "Tank! Tank! Tank!" getting brought over?
I played that in an arcade in Ohio and it was absolutely awesome for multiplayer battle arena and for mission mode. The powerups are great. Its like an evolution of battle mode Mario Kart 64.
Rumble feature on the pad will help a lot to bring back the memory of that shaking tank chair you'd sit in at the arcade too. Definitely one I'm buying.

Pretty mediocre conference on par with sony. Just ahead of microsoft as they actually showed games lol. Ubisoft is the king of e3 saving every conference.
