Haha, I stopped playing for months because I got lost in that space level.

You're right though, writing was actually really good, but for me it got bogged down too often in explaining stuff. Although talking about it kinda makes me want to play it.

Man, those medals look terrible. I can barely discern one from the other and they look lazy. Bring back the colorful and unique emblems from the previous games, please.

Oh yeah, what's up with the lack of unique death text? I imagine its because it's just not in the game yet but I'd like to see "Blank was stuck by blank", "Blank was beat down by Blank", etc. Right now it looks really simple and bare-bones.

To be honest, I've been hoping for something like the Sticky Detonator in Halo since I first played, so if the Grenade Launcher is the sacrifice I have to make, so be it. Plus, this gives you something to bring back in Halo 5.

@Computron+Munish: I have no idea why I get disconnected during BTB. It's the ONLY time I ever get disconnected. Never happens in any other playlist or with any other game. SO. WEIRD. GG's though.

Similar to the GI reveal, I feel like 343 isn't doing a very good job of actually explaining the changes to the MP game. I see people saying no hit out of scope, then someone says you do, friendly fire off/on is a mystery. Ugh

I agree. It's kinda weird that rather than communicating clearly, telling us exactly what to expect, we have to rely on conflicting reports. Surely it is better for 343 to confirm things straight off the bat, rather than fans getting worked up or hyped over nothing.

I know Frankie said that they have got a very specific plan for revealing Halo 4 stuff, but it needs to be revised based on what we have seen so far.

More ViDocs, less relying on journalists and Pros to give information that they may be confused about (they are in the middle of a match when trying to get the information we want, of course it will not be perfect).

Yeah the lack of concrete information directly from the source has been very frustrating. We have been left to interpret a lot of things for questionable sources and/or questionable quality, and whenever we are told something, it usually isn't a good answer and brings up more questions.

Blow the doors off this thing, it's multiplayer, you shouldn't be worried about "spoiling" it.

Unfortunately they have to maintain relationships with certain game communities and news outlets. I'm sure they aren't clarifying on Waypoint out of consideration to those entities (so that they will have time to generate content related to the reveal) and they probably don't clarify things on forums because that would be a 24/7 job and they are all busy living lives and making Halo. I'm betting Sparkast + Bulletin will fill in most of the gaps.

Finished a Powerpoint presentation I spent eight hours working on. The meeting runs 30 minutes. Productivity!

Firefight for the next hour and a half is my reward.

Yea that was the first thought that popped in my head hahaha. I would want to use the entire thing though, it's beautiful.

edit: Roche, Sennheiser headset broke (my niece did it :((((((( ) so I was using a different mic and some weird settings. I'll get it right though.

Also, no more panting from sprint, just stompy footsteps: much better.

Grenade Launcher news is the first real disappointment for me. I have such a love affair with that thing. I hope the data shows time used, not just kills, because any time I didn't get a direct kill with it I either cleaned up after or a teammate did.

I have a few thoughts about how news is being delivered. They seem to want to keep a tight lid on things and only reveal what was planned for reveal and keep the rest for another time, period. I also wonder if they wanted to only have people experience it then just observe reactions without saying much so that the feedback is more raw. Perhaps they aren't clarifying certain things because they aren't final yet or are up for tweaking based on discussion they observe. Some stuff though they may not want to say much about because they don't want to cause an uproar over something they feel is very justified to them. Finally, sprinkle in a bit of fear. They've ruffed up people's Halo baby, and they know, but they chose to try something new.

That all said. It's confusing and somewhat unsatisfying. I'd like more concrete info for closure, but we are still 5 months out, and it's not up to us anyhow.

Firefox is and has been a pig for some time now. Chrome or Safari (both webkit based) are the new hotness. You'd see better performance with Chrome over FF.

FF has been good to me for so many years now though.

I do use Chrome for some things though. I still prefer the FF layout.

Haven't used Firefox since like 3.5 or something. Chrome for me, as well as IE 10 build on Windows 8 (hate if you haven't used it and want to hate without being informed, but it's fucking blazing fast).

Listening to the first segment of the podcast right now, damn some campaign downers in the first group. Tashi: "I thought this was very cool, what did you guys think?" Everyone else: "It blows, did nothing for me, go fuck yourself."

From 1:20-1:50 (i'm assuming the GoT song is 30 seconds long) sounds pretty epic. It has a great buildup and ends well too. Keep the Halo theme going with the Halo podcast. Though I won't lie, that GoT guitar cover is awesome.

I will switch to chrome when it allows tabs on the side of my screen.
I need tree style tabs to function, tabs at the top only is severly limiting to any decent web browsing.
