I knew David has been working out from his Twitter feed, but I had not seen a recent picture. Looking good, you're really knocking the pounds off and getting into shape. Nice job, that's got to feel good.

Yeah dude is looking great, (some homo) same with frankie.

I think im going to start working out and watching what i eat.

Does anyone else reckon there will be some kind of factions in multiplayer? Where you can join a certain group of people, and each faction competes directly with the other ones? I mean, why call the teams Fury and Demon, if not otherwise? I can imagine some kind of premier league, where each team is ranked. It could also fit well with the canon, having some sort of Ender's Game feel to it.

Because Lore+Multiplayer is good, its easily explained.

The spartans aboard the Infinity used 2 greek names for the training sims. End of explanation.

Just mentioned this on the Facebook:

What if, instead of Halo 2 Anniversary as a standalone game, it was a season of Spartan-Ops?

Or a best-of of Halo Campaigns set up as a Spartan-Ops mission aboard the Infinity using the Holodeck used in War Games?

I think that would be cool. But dunno if 343 would do something like that.

I'm sorry but that would be awful. Wouldn't have the same effect playing a "simulator" vs. actually facing true danger.

I just did 60 pushups, inspired by your inspiration.

Lol I just had my cheat meal for the week, you're almost making me feel guilty about eating it. Lol like 2,000 calories in one sitting. Wedding tomorrow so I'll be drinking. Goodbye ketosis lol, see you in a few days.

I could see the idea of it becoming a unofficial "sport" between the Spartans on board the Infinity. Them naming their faction would then fit into the canon.

On a whim just started playing halo 2 campaign, that was really fun, I only intended to play like the first level but I got hooked and just stopped at delta halo, might try and finish that off slowly before halo 4 comes out.

Is GAF going to have a GAF replays Halo. Id be up for it.

Halo Wars
Halo Reach
Halo CE:A
Halo 2
Halo ODST
Halo 3

Start 2 month before launch? Picture Stories.

Perfect time to stop lol

Yeah I was originally going to stop as soon as the flood came into play but really wanted to do that heretic fight again do stuck it out, second half of the game did seem a bit crap last time I played it, I'll just play through it slowly I think.

I was kinda tempted, but I have played all of those campaigns to death except maybe ODST and Halo 2. Halo 2 campaign was a huge let down for me when it first came out, which im kind of grateful for now, because if I played it to death back then it just wouldnt be fresh now. Still on this run through today it felt like I knew everything that was going to happen. It was still damn fun though, and I had a few surprising moments where I forgot what happened in some places. Getting to use that Beam Rifle again is heaven, I totally had a Elite sword charge me and I no scoped that sucker. Fun game now that I can get over the disappointing story.

I would love to see people do that crazy run of Halo games though, would make for some interesting stories on here.

What the fuck am I reading?
His argument on why grenade shooting should be removed was because "it's luck", but people get lucky no-scopes across the map, too. Should we insert code to prevent them as well?
Code:
IF (!zoomed AND distance>50) THEN hit = 0

I'm not saying he's wrong, just that he should be consistent.

Fury and Demon are in line with the "various mythologies for naming" trope halo uses.

Saying that, i would of been fine with Blue Infinite and Red Infinite or something. A more military designation.
*have

I would've taken The Fury and Daemon(or just about anything else). Personally, Fury and Demon come across as lackluster.

Same goes with Majestic. Noble Team worked so much better in this regard.
Shoulda modelled it off of intramural/rec league team names.

Team I'd Hit It

vs

Team Balls Deep
Spartans will be mature in H4, there will be no holo-bagging.

Majestic is now "Fireteam Crimson"

No scoping is FAR more consistent than lucky headshots are. Someone who is good with the sniper can get no scopes with ease, I find it comical when I hear people get happy over pulling off a no scope, its so easy, especially in Reach.

I don't think I have ever seen a player get good at blowing up thrown nades though, like that really does just come down to luck. A player might intentionally do it once in all the times he plays halo lol.

I should be more consistent? You said no scopes and now it's cross map no scopes. Lolz

Either way cross map no scopes are still not as lucky as shooting grenades thrown by enemies in mid air. Mostly because it happens while you're trying to shoot the guy. You want a no scope equally lucky? Missing a no scope on a guy and hitting his teammate across the map. Lol

Assume that the no-scopes I'm talking about occur at a great distance, and are accomplished by poor players, so that the probability of occurrence is similar to a shot grenade. The occurrence is "lucky" and not a result of skillful play, so should it be counter-acted in the game?

Should we not count Hail Mary touchdowns? Or full-court basketball shots?

This is so dumb. Yeah its lucky, but its the player trying to limit himself by pulling off an improbable kill. But let's say someone is getting pinged, and just happens to fire off a lucky shot. Yeah its dumb luck, but you can't just detect that and not count it. Because close range no scopes do take skill.

The grenade thing is annoying because the person isn't intentionally aiming at the grenade. They just happened to hit it. No scopers intentionally aim at a small target, and they hit it if lucky.

It's just super annoying. When it happens. And it happens with enough frequency that I would rather have it removed.

Those are still not as lucky. It comes down to intention. No one tries to shoot grenades coming out of their enemy's hand. it just happens once in a blue moon. They get lucky. A hailmary has intention of scoring a touchdown. A full court basketball shot has intention of getting it in the hoop. It's all about intention.

And now about Halo 4. Rockets shoot so slowly, there WILL be players able to shoot them in mid air to save themselves. I'm calling it now unless rocket speed is increased.

I would say intention is the biggest difference. A poor player who attempted a long range snipe had the intention of hitting that snipe, despite sucking he pulled off the shot which he may never pull off again. I mean like, its lucky, but he meant to do it.

I dont think people generally intend to shoot nades out of the air, so when it happens it really is just dumb luck.

I dont think you can define something like this, its just one of those things, shooting nades out of the air are extremely cool and im with you N00b's I like it. I just dont think you can compare it to pulling off a lucky snipe.

Slow rockets are going to be awesome, the rockets in Halo 1 where damn slow and where fun. Rockets are like the least interesting power weapon anyway, so im glad they are nerfed, pulling off a long range rocket will feel even more awesome, and shooting a rocket out of the sky will feel damn awesome.

In Halo 1 I remember watching 2 Banshee' duke it out on the other wise of Blood Gulch, I fired a slow moving rocket, and literally nailed the enemy banshee as he was behind my teams banshee, looked awesome, wish Halo 1 had theatre mode.
