Games you remember, names you don't

Buddy of mine is looking for a game. Figured some of you might know what he's talking about. Here's his description:

It was a platform action game. You played a dude in a red suit that fired rings. That's more or less all I remember. The dude may have looked like something out of dragon ball. And the red suit may have been a karate gi.

Knowing the platform and an approximate year would make a massive difference.

A few PS1 games

I remember only playing the demo but you were like a scuba diver salvaging stuff and you had to avoid deep sea mines and sharks.

Another was this horror game that mainly took place in crypts. Your character had like a chainsaw I believe and hunchbag monsters would fight you.

I am thinking of an arcade game I played in the early 90's. I can't remember much about it other than it was an overhead action game with a sword and sorcery/fantasy setting. I think you select from several characters. The most similar game I can think of to compare it to was Arcus Odyssey for the Sega Genesis.

There was a game I remember playing on a psx. It was a demo they had hooked up at...a compusa I think. It was certainly Japanese. It had two different playable characters one was a boy and one was a girl. I don't remember what was special about the girl, but the boy could turn into different animals and stuff. Early on in the game there was a puzzle where you saw two pedestals and only one of them had a dragon statue on them. The boy had to turn into a dragon and stand on the other pedestal to unlock the gate and continue on.

Does anyone know what this game is?

A friend of mine can't remember a name for a game and here's his description:

"It was a side-scroller, not sure if it was on SNES or Genesis but had a mythogical theme. The main character may have looked like He-Man. I remember there being one level in the clouds and another underwater. It had a very Clash of the Titans feel to it. I can't for the life of me remember the name."

P.S. It's not Altered Beast

Reposting because I never got an answer:

Mine was for GBC and it played similar to Galaga. Vertical-scrolling shooter where you played as a single ship, had lives, shot various enemy ship types (and occasionally actual structures like turrets) in front of you, and each level ended with a boss. One of the earlier levels (possibly three or four) was mostly desert and enemy bases/machinery, like the aforementioned turrets. You used codes to revert to levels. The boss of one early level (same as the desert, I think) had you in an area that was pitch-black and the ship was gunmetal green and almost circular. The designs were detailed and grungy, but actually had a pretty diverse color palette if I'm remembering right.

double jump

you haven't lived until a random little kid ask you "how do you make love".

Ok, so this game has been on my mind for awhile now.

I don't remember much. It was a top down shooter for NES(or maybe Snes). It had co-op, with two Rambo looking guys. The only level I remember, was the first one. It took place in a forest, and within minutes, you could jump in a tank that was laying around.

Anyone know what is it?

I have been looking for years, a game I remember playing at my friend's house. It was either SNES or Sega, a FF style RPG. One of the characters is a flamboyant man with a house filled with flowers. HE was not a plant, but a man IIRC. I vaguely remember trying to cross a bridge but guards not allowing the party to, and possibly they had a mountain as a base.

I've looked up tons of games online, and really think I might have dreamed it though

Okay, this game was on the NES, my uncle had it and I played it as a kid.

I don't remember the year it came out, but you were some type of mech I think going through caverns, and I remember you could switch gravity, I think.

I usually remember my console games but they're was this one PC game I played when I was a little kid and it was about a kid that was looking for a a prize in a cookie contest and he gets trapped and then he is in a jail cell and he meets someone and it's a point and click game and he has to find his way back home, and finding cookies help.

I was like 6-7 at the time.

I just saw a trailer of this game but I dont remember its name. Its a 2d pixel art game like minecraft that is said to have a procedurally generated world and you run around killing things and levelling up. Theres loot drops like borderlands and theres classes you choose from the start.

I saw the damn trailer a week ago and I dont even remember the game.

Terraria? Or the game that's the followup, the name of which escapes me right now?

Edit: Starbound

Any chance it's the first Suikoden game for Playstation and you're remembering the console incorrectly? It's been a long time since I played it so perhaps I'm remembering the details off a bit but it seems you're describing some details of it.

Holy crap! Yes it is! Thank you so much!

Another game from my uncles. Now, my uncle had both an NES and a Famicom, so I'm not sure if it was English or Japan-only.

I don't exactly remember what you were, I wanna say a robot of some sort and the enemies could kill you in one shot. The enemies were airplanes and tanks, I think. I wanna say the boss of the first level was some type of moon thing.

I saw a video in a thread recently that showed off a new game, which I don't believe had found a publisher, or needed funding or something.

It was a 2D game with a great hand drawn-like art style and very fluid animation. The main character had a sword and used it for fast-paced combat.

Any help remembering what it was called. I want to watch out for it in the future.
