I didn't like Okami much, I found it badly paced and boring, but I wouldn't call it a Zelda rip off, just a game heavily inspired by it. The combat in Okami has completely different mechanics to any Zelda thanks to the brush, the world (the most important part since these games are all about exploring that) art and story don't resemble Zelda at all and their main common aspect is that they're both action adventures with light puzzle solving. I don't think most puzzles had been in a Zelda game before either, though there have been so many there are probably some similarities in places. Changing the art and some mechanics in a fighting game still leaves it distinctly similar in comparison, considering sequels do the same as it's about all they can do to differ. Building an awesome huge world to explore with appropriate challenges within is kind of a whole different level of creation, to be called a rip off in that case you'd need to steal the actual world design and challenges, even if you skinned it differently (by the way, I don't think any of the so called Zelda-likes are really much like Zelda, including Darksiders which I thought is more like DMC and Beyond Good and Evil which had way too many differences to list, Zelda remains distinctly original outside its own lesser sequels). I mean, nobody called Little Big Planet a Super Mario Bros. rip off just because it's in the same genre, it clearly was nothing like it. This game doesn't get the same treatment by the same people for a reason. Perhaps after the release some of them will change mind.
