i just recently finished avatar: the last airbender and honestly this is my favorite scene in cartoon history. it blew me away when i saw it the first time.

Yes, that's Chou (Super) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, from the second movie (Lagann-hen). The first and second movies are like remixes of the first and second halves of the anime, with all of the fluff and filler cut out and more awesomeness pumped in.

I would agree with either Steamboat Willy, Daffy as Robin Hood, Bugs at the Opera, Dumbo.
My personal would be Linus in the Pumpkin Patch or Charlie Brown with the Christmas Tree.

Edit: Chernabog from Night on Bald Mountain is definitely one of the more epic moments, but not great moments.
