I bet that didact will be the enemy in the first installment of the new saga, but the real enemies will be the precursors.
that's what i've been thinking since i've read Primordium:
Chakas/343GS(2) mentioned the "combat eternal" between humanity and the Didact for the first time and in the same breath also mentions that only the Librarian unifies us/could bring us peace and guess for whom he (343GS/Chakas) is heading at the end of the book.
i still believe/hope the Librarian will appear somewhen in the Reclaimer saga and stop the fighting between mankind and the Didact so they can focus an the real Ancient Evil that has it's roots "10 Million years ago in an incredible Act of Barbarity"...
The Greg Bear books introduced the Precursors and - apart from associating them with the Flood - promised their return 100.000 years later, which is "now".
why introduce that backstory of a real inter-galactic/universal threat that is much older than even the FR if they'll use a "side note" (Chakas comments about the Didact) to base the Reclaimer Trilogy's plot upon?
Question: It was pretty clear that the Didact would show up after the E3 Trailer, which included a Cryptum and more importantly: the Didacts symbol - yet 343I said that the Ancient Evil hasn't been introduced yet. I'd like to know if that point still remains (I hope so).
