Why did you post Tsumiki. shes a great character. although much of that manifests itself with cat ears. Which is fine with me of course.

No, she was an incredibly boring character in an incredibly boring show, whose sole character trait was that she was cute. Yet you claim that being cute isn't enough. :p

You watch your mouth, friend. :<
They are mostly to be honest.
They are really cute, so there's that, but as I said with Asuna, just being cute doesn't cut it in a show where everybody is cute. Luckily the show is heavy with the suggested yuri so I will forgive the deficiencies for now.
Even cajun agrees!

literally the only good character
I don't even remember her. :( lol

She doesl ittle things with her ahoge and cat ears and expressions. For a show like Acchi Kocchi, Im not really searching for deep meaningful characters. For a showl ike Sword Art Online I kind of expect to see some depth. Many of the characters are one-2 episode only sorts in SAO, but its enough to get to know them and to understand what they are like.
In the case of Tsumiki, well shes in a little short comedy/cute girls doing cute things sort of show, so her little mannerisms and quirks are enough for me to like her as a character.
In Strawberry Panic, Im hoping for the characters to be explored in reasonable depth. with 26 episodes it shouldnt be an issue.

I'm not trying to make this a serious issue, it was just funny that you said that when it quite clearly isn't true. :p

And they lived happily ever after.
Things are really rolling now. And holy shit at
the part at the end
. I always seem to catch up at the wrong times, because now I have to wait for the next episode... Can't wait!
Oh and someone was pointing out the 3D mech in this episode earlier and just wanted to say that little pan of it was weird because after that shot it's 2D. I guess they needed some filler.

The biggest problem of them all.

Hey, don't forget Yama no Susume!

Aoi and Hinata are childhood friends. Aoi prefers staying indoors and is afraid of heights, whereas Hinata is outgoing and loves mountaineering. They both decide to climb a mountain, in order to see a sunrise they saw together when they were younger.

with Kana Asumi (as Hinata),Yuka Iguchi (as Hinata) and Yui Ogura (as Kokona)!

Sounds like a :firehawk kind of show.

Those were pretty good. These three short, independent stories showed the characters in unusual ways. Curiously, here "unusual" means "exactly like the would in a regular anime show". And I think the placement of these episodes - right after the long festival arc - was also very well-thought.

And episode 21 was intense as hell. Like, gooooood. This show would be amazing if the stakes were high all the time.

Yeah. I was in the mood for yuri undertones and thats what Im getting so far.
a Lot more than Saki. Although I like Saki. I put that show on hold though.

why is mal making all their anime jpn names now...Campione!: Matsurowanu Kamigami to Kamigoroshi no Maou...

Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon II ep 10

Awesome sea battle and I cant wait to see more of that, I actually cant wait to rewatch it all back to back and in actual bd quality upon release, etc. Adele did decently as commander.

I hope we get a 3rd, 4th, 5th, and even a 6th season, so I hope it still super awesomely, was that like more than 20k per volume?

The Light of El Cantare
Strawberry Panic just serves to further prove that unless you have someone extremely talented like Dezaki working with the concept, stuffy 1% private academies are the worst setting in anime. Castle-like courtyards and dorms are a bore, oujosamas are the single worst character archetype in existence, and the infinite retread of issues of jealousy, hierarchy, and class is pretty insufferable. Oniisama e is amazing, but every other show that plays this stuff straight? Nope.

They've always done that.

Mostly.

But now MAL is even taking standard English titles of Ghibli films and replacing them with their original Japanese titles - Spirited Away is now Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, Porco Rosso is now Kurenai no Buta, and so on. Apparently they're doing this in the name of consistency, but all I can see resulting from it is unnecessary confusion.

I just noticed that. I do not approve of this unnecessary weeabooization, MAL.

Huh. I still have "The Conqueror of Shamballa" and a couple of others in my list, though.

Well, as long as you can still find the works by their English titles, it's ok.

This reminds me that you had said earlier that the main reason you had hesitated to watch Ouran High School Host Club is because it is set in one of these ultra-elite private academies for the ultra-rich. Now that I'm further into the show, I can say that a major part of it is a parody of the very concept of these kinds of academies, exaggerating the trope to the point of absurdity and providing Haruhi as a voice of reason in its midst. I don't know if this will make you more interested in the show, but there it is.

The only major problem comes if you're searching your own or someone else's individual anime lists, because that doesn't include alternative titles. So you'd have to know the Japanese title to find it.

Sailor Moon 20

Summer vacation "training" is all "fun and games" until
the little girl gets abused by her sick father and summons an uncontrollable ghost
.

Rei-Chan! <3

The interesting thing about this episode, other than Rei-chan of course, is that the little girl, I can't remember her name, is voiced by Yuriko Fuchizaki, who would go on to voice Anthy Himemiya in Utena. This marks her first vocal performance in the Sailor Moon series, where she voices a couple of more characters later.

Maybe you don't care but I'd thought I'd share anyway. :)

Haha, more advertisers need their actors or actresses to chomp down on their products like this! It might actually convince to buy the product instead of seeing the person take an obviously piddly little bite then proceed to chew as if they have a mouth full.

I personally never really understood the concept of "comfort food" but I really liked the art, expression and animation for the scene pictured above. The accompanying music used was, again, also very good.

By far my favorite scene of Mayaka.

This crossover, I love cross over arts, I remember coming across a Kuroko x Haikyuu one. But anyway this episode was awesome for lots of reasons.
Jikukawa, Rook, Bishop, the team up of POG and Orpheus Order defectors, and Headmaster all working together in that cool building takeover.

This was the best part (near end ep spoiler
Freecell destroying Klondike sama was amazing and out of puzzle, and Melancholy just doing all of that, she was awful and so deserved it
.

24 and 25 should be fun I hope and crossing my fingers for an s3. We need a Rook x Freecell x Kaito focused season where they take on some anti puzzle organization etc. Team up of the greats.

Good mystery show? Un-Go?
When in doubt, look at my avatar.
I haven't even seen Un-Go.

They married young and hardly got to know each other. Kirito looks very likely to have an affair and end up losing everything in a messy divorce. Lisbeth has a fractional chance if she strike during the rebound.
It would be kind of great if they lived on completely different continents and the end of the game meant the end of their relationship.
Is it weird that I am looking more forward to the reactions to EVA 3.0 then the actual movie (though I am looking forward to it as well). I am hoping for code geass level of shitstorms on /a/.
I hope duckroll and co are on top of their game, 'cause I do not want to be spoiled. :(

Tragic victim of fan death
Two tidbits from last week's LN sales rankings:

- The 11th volume of Oreimo sold 79,690 copies.
- Sword Art Online volume 1 has now sold over 400,000 copies in its lifetime, supplementing a report from earlier this week that the series overall has over 5.85 million copies in circulation. If you actually crunch the numbers, you get about 2.85 million copies actually sold, for what it's worth.

Damn. SAO selling like crazy.

I think that your assessment of what the show is like is probably what my assessment would be, so I value this input. I'll be sure to watch it before too long.
