It's been 28 years since Kevin Eastman first sketched out the first mutant turtle in a brainstorming session with Peter Laird. With hundreds of comics, four theatrical films, and three television series behind them, the heroes in a half shell have gone from being comic book parodies to pop culture icons. Now the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in a brand new series that's set to combine the best elements of their various incarnations updated for audiences old and new. Turtles forever!

Sean Astin as Raphael
Jason Biggs as Leonardo
Greg Cipes as Michelangelo
Rob Paulsen as Donatello

Oh sweet I was going to make this thread tomorrow.

I'm going to approach it with an open-mind because 1)I love Ninja Turtles 2)The CG Green Lantern cartoon surprised the hell out of me.

The 2nd video says they were created by accident but in the 1st video you can clearly see Splinter cracking open some ooze and dumping turtles in it...

I loooooooooove the turtles and im totally giving this a chance with an open mind

you "purists" should take off your nostalgia glasses and realize that this pretty much keeps in line with the old cartoon personalities. The animation is really nice too. I really dont see anything super offensive with this show as to go all up in arms about it. Except maybe the humans design being kinda bad. Stop yelling at clouds

After watching some of the clips I actually am kind of feeling it.

Don sounds like 80's Raph. Arghhhh

It is 80's Raph.

That's how I warmed up to it as well. I was initially put off by the character designs that were released some months ago, but after viewing the videos I found myself liking the art direction within the context of the show. It should look marvelous in 1080p.

What the fuck is up with April?

Somebody take me off this planet.

Most people think I'm a regular 16-year-old. My friends and I hang out, play video games and eat pizza. Totally normal, except... my friends are mutant ninja turtles who live in the sewers and the closest thing I have to a father figure is a giant rat. So yeah, maybe not so normal.
Fuck off.

I don't think it looks that bad. Its marketed towards kids, and they'll eat it up. I'm going to try to watch the first ep with my son.

can't wait to see it saturday to find out what it's like.

If anything I'll be annoyed by the anime reaction stuff which is why I hated teen titans.

Sounds like Eliza from the "Wild Thornberrys" intro.

Wait, I've noticed Nickelodeon Ninja Turtles toys in stores for a while now. Did they have another show on that channel in the past?

I was a bit off on the art at first but it's grown on me (looks kinda... papercraft-y?) and the clips are decent. Willing to give this a chance.

I hate Donny's gap. Also, he's apparently going to have a crush on April.... Which, I fear will encourage a fanbase I don't want to be familiar with.

Edit: To clarify, I'll give it a chance, but I don't have high hopes.

Fuck off.

are you telling me they are trying to make the show more appealing to girls by having a young girl character and that the standards for wich kind of female characters girls watch these days (going from the succesful-grown-up barbie types to young-relatable high school kinda types) has changed?

BLASPHEMY

jesus christ some of you. I loved the turtles when I was a kid and I can realize how they are trying to make a new one that tailors to kids these days and not kids back then while still mantaining what made the turtles great (personalities, and how they clashed together).

It's a show for kids.
