I am responding pretty late but it is McFarlane. It is a promo shot, of course it looks amazing in the picture. It is hand painted by a professional. I'd bet on it.

(for fun, I cannot afford it)

Seems like a pretty hefty fee

I would definitely go for Square Enix's offering over MacFarlane's unless you're on a budget. Better size, paint job, articulation, packaging and overall presentation.

I saw the pictures at HLJ. I kinda like the Spartan IV Warrior more than the Chief. Haha. Maybe it is because of the BR.

I don't really have any problems with the hardlight (riot) shield; it looks like it could save your life on occasion if deployed tactically, by sparing you a second or two's direct fire, but it also leaves you vulnerable from all sides, and from grenades to your feet. I mean all this stuff is speculative, but this is not your papa's armor lock.

Straight up. I can't wait to use it to save team mates in the heat of battle, but i do know i'll be bombarded by grenades from left and right. Splash damage will be key to taking out shielders.

This also makes me wonder about that grenade dampener perk... prolly would work well with the hard light shield.

With Halo 4, we’re taking a different approach and focusing on the storytelling aspects of art from the design standpoint. We don’t do that everywhere in the game, but we wanted to take this opportunity to really focus on him as a human being.

The blue on the Warrior does look really nice. Here's hoping they make a figure of the Recruit Spartans in the black armor with the yellow markings and blue visor that we see in all the screenshots.

I really like some of them in a kind of funky techno kind of way.

Not the Halo music I want though.


Feels like the day before christmas man, im so excited to go play Halo 4, I had a dream last night that I played for like an hour, then ended up playing Halo 2 on lan for the rest of the day and destroying everyone there. Thing is when I went back to the Halo 4 booth it was closed! Well you could play, but you couldnt get into a multi game, all you could do was run around on forge world and not even get into vehicles lol! I was actually planning to go play Halo 2 multi at the retro arcade, I guess my dream is telling me not to!


Anyone from Hull - apparently gamestation is letting people play Halo 4 there on Wednesday! Saw that tweet by Hypertrooper I think?

Loved how accurate DMR was at mid range, even with bloom.
Guy had a super accurate shot for playing on laggy TVs!

Im glad im going to get to go check out Eurogamer, but thats going to be packed. A game store having kiosks and letting me chill there for the evening would be pretty great.

EDIT: How have I woken up so hyped? I would have taken the absolute piss out of this remix soundtrack a week ago. Kind of digging some of the songs. I worry that Martys touch will be missed, cant really tell that from this soundtrack though.

Frankie, will Forward Unto Dawn feature classic Halo music, or is it mainly the kind of music we've seen in the trailer?

I'm really praying for live action Halo:Legends, but I still can't help but feel that we're still getting The Mighty Ducks x High School Musical.

Actually it has an original score with a couple of Davidge bits. And I wouldn't judge the thing by the trailer, which was put together in a rush for comiccon from very rough footage. I just watched the first two episodes in their 99% complete state and I literally got chills. And you know me and setting of expectations.
