Borderlands 2 |OT| Opening Pandora's Box (of Guns!)

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you haven't run into any rabid creatures.

This is probably a valid assumption I expect to see a post that reads fuck Rabid Stalkers, fuck Rabid Skaggs, and Fuck Badass Threshers in the next two or three days.

What are the odds Terramorphous will drop a good class mod for my zer0 instead of the two I've already got that are about 95% melee tree of which I've specced NOTHING?

None there is only one type Slayer of Terramorphus mod for each class. Its also bugged and has Gunzerker skill on it making the mod mostly worthless.

I've heard about peoples badass ranks being reset too. I would check that also
I heard that too and checked but it's fine. I mean, I was able to put my talent points back in a jiffy but that is weird.

Maybe because when I beat the game earlier today my internet was on the fritz and I was offline? Coming back online might have done something...I dunno.

Uh, aren't all the Terramorphous class mods the same (+skills to almost all first tier skills)?

Story question:
So I was replaying the game and realized that the whole Firehawk storyline doesn't make any sense. Or doesn't seem to. Are we to assume Roland is the only one who knows that Lilith is the Firehawk.
Why is she disguising herself? I mean I know she's supposed to be in hiding from Jack but wouldn't a godlike fire sorcerer attract his attention?

Maybe I'm over-analyzing but it seem like a somewhat egregious plothole.

I don't think so. :p

Is there any way to trade eridium between your own characters?

Not as far as I'm aware.

~~~
I finally found and killed a chubby. Just two class related achievements left now. I want to hurry up and get them done because Torchlight II is screaming my name, and I could use a change of pace from BL2, even though it has been a great trip.
Lilith does attract draw Jack's attention that's what the Assassin quest is all about. Jack suspects she might still be alive, but doesn't know for sure. In regards to why shes hiding I assume its because wants more Sirens to charge the key faster. He'd use Maya, but according to her background logs shes immune to the effects of Eridium.
I'm in what I assume is the last mission and it's not fun anymore, it's just annoying. So many fucking robots, engineers and constructor arghh....
I was doing the quest for Rocko in TVHM at about level 45 and the big dudes that are supposed to be fighting on my side kept getting hit by the aoe from my phaselock and turned angry at me, leveling up to the maximum, which was level 50. Hard to kill but holy crap do they drop nice loot.
Can someone give me a hand on how to find a location in Eridium Blight? It's on top of a tall mountain that's to the right of the quest board/catch a ride deal. It's the only part on my map that's grayed out. There's also a electrified fence right under the base of it.
Is it just me, or is relic value bullshit?
relics don't have hidden stats like weapons do, right? so why is the relic with the lower cooldown value worth MORE than the one with the higher cooldown? the only difference appears to be the level on the item.
insight would be appreciated.
Yup that's it...fuck that game.... I've been dying non stop from that stupid badass constructor in the last mission for the last 30 min. I've been killing easily the constructor since the beginning of the game but normally I can actually get in range... With this one the moment I'm less than like 400m from him I'm pretty much dead...
11 level different probably boosts the value of the white relic a lot.
which reminds me... what stats on weapons are hidden? how does it work?
stare at the electrified fence, spot the cable, follow the cable to the fuse box (it's semi-hidden above a wall) and shoot it. Now go through the passage and voila, you found the cave :)
of course, if you already got in there and it's really the place above ground you need, then it's as easy as going through the big doors, but you probably already knew that I guess.
There's an area you can hide behind and safely fire away without him hitting you. Lay down a few nades for the ones coming up, and you should be ok.
Final mission/boss/Jack was a pushover, neither me or my wife even went down.
Loving my Gunzerker quite a bit.
but I don't think (or know if) the level matters at all in terms of practical application of relics.
if I'm wrong, someone please correct me. I'm carrying around relics that are like 25 levels behind where I am now simply because they provide better and boosts than the relics I'm finding at the level I'm at now.
hide behind something tall and snipe the eye out? that's what I always did, and it always worked, including to that last one. it was just a matter of time.
She also keeps the bandits off Roland.
I tried cheesing it with the sniper but now I'm running low on ammo and obviously there's no ammo machines.
Nice I was able to get one of the keys a few hours ago. Used one (I'm level 18) and got two amazing shields. Now my Salvador has 1007 shield and almost 1000 health. I'll save the next one for 10 levels from now. If I can score two more, I'll wait five levels to use it.
they don't, but it's just the reason why the other is more valuable.
cool. just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something before selling the more expensive one.
I know with guns, there are hidden stats that account for value differential if everything else is equal. wanted to be 100% sure. thanks.
I'm trying to decide between Axton and Salvador for my next playthrough (getting a little bit annoyed over Maya's action skill being completely useless in a lot of boss fights). My only concern with Axton is: how well does his turret scale into TVHM? Does it just get shredded by the harder mobs?
Been playing with my friend who is Axton in TVHM. I'm Sal and I'm so jealous. His turret is a beast and he gets it back so quickly. It handles a raging fat guy easily at level 38.
I just found a SMG that when equipped would make you walk/run really slow and every time you fired Claptrap would shout "OW! OW! OW! OW! OW! OW!" annoying (and quite useless) to say the least. Everyone in a multiplayer game could hear it, and when I gave the gun to someone else it did exactly the same thing. Not sure if it was a bug or if it was intentional, but it was pretty silly.
Needless to say I got rid of the gun post-haste.;)
It's intentional, there are a few guns that talk (or in the case with one of Moxxi's guns, your controller vibrates while equipped) when you fire/reload them. You can get one of these from a quest.
Maya is ...weird. That class is probably the most malleable and versatile by far. Phaselock, as it is out the box, needs a lot of work - I agree with that much absolutely. You pretty much need to have that Motion tree 1/1 skill that attracts other enemies to the phase locked enemy, a maxed out Helios, Chain Reaction, along with something like Wreck/Suspension in order to make Phase Lock look like what it should look like.
Its pretty good, but you notice yourself getting wiped up when you're not levitating someone.
I'm starting to gradually respec more and more towards what the BL1 Siren was strong at - mobility first and pure elemental damage second. Its kinda like when everyone slept on Daze/Mind Games from before.
I think I know which one you're talking about. Shoot the eye then throw a corrosive grenade that leaves a pool. Then shoot the shit out of it
There's some cover not right in front of it.
She's fine in normal firefights, her DPS is just abysmal for the purposes of boss farming, which is what I'm doing at the moment. It takes me about three or four "pops" of Terra (meaning the number of times for him to emerge from underground) for me to kill him solo, whereas I've seen videos of Gunzerkers doing it in under 10 secs.
What I'm getting at here is that without trash mobs to phaselock, she loses a ton of DPS. She can't even phaselock regular threshers, much less Terra or it's tentacles.
I already have the final skill in the Cataclysm tree, right now, I'm working on putting the other skill points into the motion tree and getting the skill that attracts other enemies into the lock, all the while doing all kinds of elemental damage.
Personally, I'm enjoying it and the good thing is, while it may not "lock" bosses down, it still does the elemental damage.
