I watched Angel Beats and it wasn't even hatewatching. I actually enjoyed it.

Same, I even bought it, was worth its 59.99 or 69.99$ price tag.

Friend suggestions or friend watches are really the only recent times where Ill watch stuff and finish it even if I hate it.

Kengo is hilarious as how Akira treats him at times. I do like Kengo's pure strength, and then Akira's blade moves and speed. The Kikouchi hunting is fun and intriguing. I hope for a deeper plot to be opened up now that we have everyone I think.

The Light of El Cantare
lol I know. Should have put a :D I guess.

But I don't know, if people have no trouble following it now, I wonder how long it will take before they do. I mean, it's pretty much pure nonsense that goes beyond what the guy accomplished in Spiral.

oh okay, good. I really didn't want you to have inadvertently offended you.

Eh, I'm still going to trust that it's going to be adapted coherently for the time being. I know that it has Okadabot, the source material, and, yes, the fear of a Bones ending working against it, but after a strong first episode, it deserves a fair shake.

What the hell is going on with that guy's face

Personally, having no experience with the manga, I thought that the pacing was fine and the cuts and jumps were coherent and easy to follow. There was only one transition between past and present that I was aware of, and the perspective only alternated between two points of view--Samon/Hakaze's and Mahiro/Yoshino's. The relatively low number of character introductions allowed the exposition to be pretty focused.

That's just me, though; obviously can't speak for anyone else.

It's not the most confusing thing I've ever seen but the way they handled the time skips isn't exactly great either.

The Light of El Cantare
i really should catch up on this :(

The good moments are going to be spoiled to hell and back in screengrabs anyway, so might as well just watch before that can happen.

I'm in the exact same boat having wrapped up x 365 today, but I presume I'll be done with Hoshimittsu by this time next week anyway so skipping ahead for a week won't hurt. From what I hear I'll get spoiled on something minor, but it's a good spoiler.

It's not the most confusing thing I've ever seen but the way they handled the time skips isn't exactly great either.

It took until
the teacher mentioned that Mahiro had been missing for a month
for me to realize that there had even been a time skip, but after that I'd say it was smooth sailing.

To Love Ru Darkness 1 (censored)

Light beamz! Steam censors! Conspicuous black bars! No, it's not Blood-C you're watching, it's TLR Darkness!

So apparently TAN is broadcasting TLRD half a day before it even comes out in Japan. Of course, given it's censored it's worthless anyway, but hell, I was curious so I watched it anyway. Discounting the very obvious... indiscretions mentioned above, it is, like the OVA, a completely faithful adaptation of the manga, sometimes even frame-for-frame. I'm totally okay with this.

Guess we'll find out in a few days if BDs are necessary or if AT-X saves the day.
Wow, and here I igonred the "Schedule: Thursdays at 9 PM Eastern / 6 PM Pacific, starting October 4th" line on TAN's press release thinking it was some sort of typo. Has this sort of simulcast ever happened before?

Like you said, censoring kind of defeats the purpose of watching it, but man, that OP song is sweet. Not that I'd expect anything less from Ray and Kazuya Takase of I've Sound.

I suppose TLRD will be the anime to watch in the morning to make me forget tonight.
Chuunibyo did an admirable job of it this morning.

I don't care much for the OP song but I like the ED

Wat. I have no idea why I've watched so much of this. I guess it's someone's fetish.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun 01

That's a good show. The interactions between the two are really amazing. The comedy is good, the romance is ok (even though I tought it was quite early for a kiss, but that works anyway)... in visuals it's the Tsuritama of this season. Pretty good. I'll be watching. The male MC is a pretty cool guy.

Autism/Crazy Girl, the anime 01

Seriously, I hope this syndrome isn't something real. I mean... I did things like that... before my 5th grade, but not after. That's were fathers are supposed to stablish limits, teach what reality is. Some people can relate to this... but I can't.

BTW, this show is certainly whatchable, for a KyoAni show. It's not a slice of life, so that's already a plus for me. The OP fucking sucks, it's epilepsy/seizure inducing.

The visuals are moeblob KyoAni shit that I hate, but the animations, visuals and sounds makes for it, so I'll keep watching. It's not as bad as I tought it would be.

K 01

Ok... the filter fucking sucks... what the fuck were they thinking? The story is a mess too, but it's too early for complain about that... I've endured the shit named Arcana Famiglia, I'm sure I'll endure this too as the fujoshi show of the season. At least this one looks better than that.

Zetsuen no Tempest 01

Beautiful. I like this. Magic + Cool Fight. The visuals are very cool, and I kinda like the story. I know that some people already read the manga and got dissapointed, but I'll continue to watch anyway.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai 1

The OP was really unwatchable. I honestly tried to watch all of it, but my eyes just couldn't handle it. I really could do without the ridiculously fast cuts. The ED was nothing special either.

Anyway, KyoAni still got it. Very enjoyable episode even though there weren't that many cool crazy delusional powers. Rikka was very adorable in the episode. I think if they can keep the lighthearted nature of the first episode along with some wacky delusions then it will be a good anime. I kinda wish they would go all angsty and dark about the whole delusions thing and refusing to grow up, but I'm not confident they can pull it off.

Oh yeah, just how exactly did Yuuta survive school before? Surely he was the prime target of all the school bullies.

Zetsuen no Tempest 01

Very cool so far. Things jumped around in time but I got my bearings on the relationships and order by the end of the episode. The fight scene was also pretty sweet. In Ando we trust!

Seriously, I hope this syndrome isn't something real.

Do you mean real in a medical sense or real in a cultural sense? The term chuunibyou definitely exists beyond this anime, if that's what you mean.

Edit: Lol, by the way, your insistence on nuclear familial roles as the way things should be is kinda funny. I don't necessarily disagree with you (although due to my own family circumstances I can't relate to your point of view), but it's interesting seeing how you've phrased your discomfort with chuunibyou.

Here's hoping Chikane tells Souma to stay the hell away from her girl soon.

After he stated he was going to protect Himeko it looked like she wanted to rip his throat out. :lol

Maedhros, regarding Tonari, the kiss wasn't genuine.
It felt rushed because it has no meaning.
Haru is socially inept, so the kiss was pretty much a kneejerk reaction to liking Shizuku. He literally knows no other way to handle that particular emotion, so he forced it.

Looked like he was just heavily ostracized. It's kind of sad--the shot of him eating his lunch alone. Such is the isolation of a Dark Flame Master.

This is like when you mess with the contrast setting on your TV too much and then you can't get it back to exactly the way you want it. A shame too since the world design is fantastic.

That being said, I like this. It has a nice sense of style, good action and animation, pretty good choreography, a neat display of special abilities, interesting setting, naked ghost girls (?), and robots. There should be a Wii U or DS game based around Kuroh's power. Would be totally awesome.

The OP definitely has me hyped for future episodes. Will be keeping up with this one. Hopefully I can get used to the filter sooner rather than later.

"You piece of shit."

Starting to see a pattern with this show:

1. Chikane and Himeko have their moment.
2. Moment is interrupted by villain
3. Boring guy shows up to defeat said villain.
4. Chikane and Himeko continue to yuri it up.

And it looks like we're about to see
Chikane snap after her recent failures of protecting Himeko. Let the rage flow!

I was just rewatching my Mushishi DVDs and this show is just too good. I could never get tired of it, and the dub is pretty good too, IMO.

Man, it really is amazing how the industry never learns.

You have to give them credit, they're getting significantly better. Not long ago, they weren't streaming much at all. The stuff they did offer was typically older stuff that'd been over for a long time. Now, we're getting a ton of simulcasts and even delaycasts are within a week. That's some amazing progress. Heck, that's better than a lot of movie and TV studios in the US.

I wasn't aware you can get motion sickness from watching an anime.

So, wow, that was a pretty slow opening. Like really felt that not much happen. Uh, I guess it has potential. It does look like something is building, the powers weren't that bad. Actually cheered when the stupid skateboarder got knocked down so I don't have to see him move anymore.

The whole blue filter world isn't that bad. Blue isn't a bad color to always see. Still better than ugly yellow.

DTL level rising.

I don't remember having this many delaycasts in a season before, though. They don't seem to understand that if they air it anywhere before the stream, it will end up on the internet at the same time.
