It's hard to tell without having stats of my own to look through, but so far I'm not liking the new Waypoint website much. I mean, it wasn't amazing before, but now it just seems much clunkier to get around, and the separate "app" thing for stats just seems much more complicated to use than it needs to be. I still miss Bungie's stat viewing.

Also, video streaming on the website did not get a quality boost for me at all.

Can't believe I forgot to say this but my biggest complaints on maps is for Complex, they have about 10+ red brushes around the map and they fake me out every time as being a enemy.

Should change them to brown or a non mm color if possible.

Like Purple. A nice neutral Covie colored bush.

it certainly says something about the quality of the maps when your biggest complaint is that there are red bushes on complex.

Roughly 12 hours till i get to play Halo 4, no midnight launches here :/
I'll get it as early as possible, which is about 10am when the store opens... and then half an hour to 45min to home, gotta get a pizza too.
But when i get it, i'll play the campaign on sitting (Heroic). And then Spartan Ops.

I'll post brief thoughts on my experience tonight. It was a lot of fun and I'm hugely thankful for the opportunity 343 gave me to hang out and take an early crack at Forge.
 
That Warthog looks tiny..

Oh I went along aswell

Was not impressed - hog looked like it was made of foam - then a helicopter flew the didact symbol around - I mean as far as advertising goes showing off a symbol that no one knows like its the bat symbol is pretty stupid. Would have generated more buzz if they spend that fuel money on fireworks tbh

On the plus side I got to meet GUI who is a lot cooler than I expected. :p

Yes. I came up with one for the session there, and will post some more thoughts on the set after I've taken a longer crack at it. And Ravine has a bit more flexibility than I though it would from the videos.

One thing I'm not sure everyone is aware of, that helps the Forge visuals in subtle but powerful ways.

For the rocks in Forge palette that get added to the terrain (the Natural category) have a shader applied when you enter player mode (as lighting is applied) that integrates them into the map nicely. Basically it applies a texture to the rocks to blend them in with the terrain better, and it's map-specific. So the tops of the rocks on Ravine are grassy - no matter which orientation you set them to. The top of them on Impact are gravel-y, regardless of their orientation. So you can build rocky structures, and the lighting/shaders fuses them together in a way that looks natural. It makes a BIG difference, IMO.

That's awesome. I remember how happy I was when I got to go to Red Storm to play Future Soldier, and that game turned out to be shit!

Unlike the Warthogs from 343i, this was completely built by fans. Of course it looks cheaper than the Weta Warthog and the Halo 4 one. But it is still pretty cool.

I don't like Complex in Infinity Slayer. People are camping on the top of the buildings with a DMR and with Camo. Played against a team of 4 and couldn't do anything, but quit.

Also, why don't we see, if there is an camo guy arround? The radar isn't even jammed anymore... :(

I find camo overpowered and it forces you to use Promethean Vision.

Love my LE, looks very cool. I thought the steel case would be silver, but it is white and it looks even better. The additional things in it are awesome, too, especially the War Games report with Tashi. :p

Ah, I'm so happy right now. Now only my UK version has to arrive.

Oh and for some reason, I couldn't redeem the FuD code. Trouble checked a few times, but I guess it's available tommorow?

Not going to lie, the Chief suit and AR looked damn good - the fan should sleep happy that he nailed 2/3 things.

But yeah seriously, didnt see Kiki Wolfkill and so I assume something else happened in London that I didn't know about - probably more stuff happening at Midnight? Everyone left as soon as the helicopter thing finished.

Only the Warthog is fan built. The Chief and AR are made by professionals. But it looks "cheap" compared to the US Master Chief.
